Smokey Bear Celebrates 80 Years of Wildfire Prevention

While having a core message for eight decades, Smokey Bear's familiar wildfire prevention saying has been adjusted throughout the years.
U.S. Forest Service Chief Historian Lincoln Bramwell says the most significant change happened in 2001.
The wildfire prevention icon's public service campaign was created in a partnership between the AD Council, U.S. Forest Service and National Association of State Foresters is the longest continuous running public service campaign in our country yet.
