    Jim, thanks a lot for such an informative video.
    From an aftermarket repair manual: the toque for the caliper mounting bolts is 20 ft-lb for Camry 2007-2015. The torque for the caliper bracket mounting bolts is 46 ft-lb for Camry 2007-2011 and 58 ft-lb for Camry 2012-2015.

    Thanks for the video. Very helpful! Here are the bolt specs for the two extra holes in the rotor (that help dislodge the rotor from the hub): M8 x 1.25

    Jim great video...For those attempting this at home, you will absolutely want to flush the brake lines after replacing pads.

    Very good and clear video Jim. Just one question......shouldn't the cavity where the slide pin goes be cleaned out also? I usually spray brake cleaner in it really good and blow it out before re-inserting the pin. Does it make much difference if it's not done that way?

    Great video. Thanks for all the info. One question. I always thought you had to remove the brake reservoir lid or open the bleeder before you push the piston back. I’m just going to do what you did. Thanks.

      Hi Jim! I have a 94 Camry and it has drums on the rear and I want to put Disc. Any recommendations, I know it can be done just don't know what set up to us. I know this vehicle came in a 6cyl. Which has rear disc.

    Jim, first thanks for all of the great videos. Maybe you have addressed this in other videos, but how can you tell which rear calipers can be pushed back and which ones need a special wind back tool?

    Great Job….However I would only apply grease on the bottom of the hardware and not on top where it touches the pads. It will just accumulate dirt and prevent the pads from sliding.

    Isn't there something to be weary of regarding the emergency brake clip popping in or out with the back rotors?

  • @kevingaudreau7527

    Great video but isn't that hard on the master cylinder and the ABS system when you reverse flow on the hydraulics. Why wouldn't you just put a bleed jar on and crack the bleed port

    I have to email for a torque spec? I'll not watch another video that you produce.
    What if i need the car? I may have to wait three days or more for your reply, if it comes at all. Thanks

    Is that brakes inside the rotor housing?
    And disk too? Drum & disk is what I’m
    asking

    • @jimthecarguy
      @jimthecarguy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes on the rear brakes the emergency brake is inside the rear rotor and the disc pads are on the outside for normal stopping. Thanks for watching.
