- Wolfychu's reaction to Oshi No Ko. I was not ready for this anime. The first episode was crazy and completely broke a lot of us. I really wanted to talk about it and get my thoughts out! And don't worry, I avoided talking about the most major spoilers! Is this anime too much for you? I really wanna know your thoughts too!

It was peak, I’m really excited having read all of Kaguya-sama and through rereading and rewatching it, have come to realize just how much this author plans his stories out way ahead of time with subtle hints. He also always manages to evolve the dynamics between characters in an organic way over the course his stories. For an example (without spoilers for anything important), The god damn ramen arc Chika goes through manages to come full circle with the Taxi driver from the fireworks festival who is friends with the first Ramen king turns out to be the final ramen king. The dude is not at all important to overall plot yet his character changes over the course of the story as well as how he interacts with the main cast is just SO engaging and entertaining. In fact the latest OP had so many subtle references to future story plot points, including stuff in Oshi no Ko. The ramen kings even all show up in a poster with Chika in the center.

I went to see that first episode/movie of Oshi no Ko, right after watching your new video here.
And Oh Dear, after watching it, I now understand how you felt when you saw it 😔 and also every detail of your opinion you explained, it's accurate & I agree with it.
This is indeed a mind blowing show & a roller coaster of emotions, there was a lot of things I wasn't expecting.
But no worries, that anime is not too much for me, I liked it ! ☺️
They didn't cut off the big shock in the first episode by making the whole first arc into that movie-length episode, and I applaud them for it. You don't get people "theorizing" the crazy thing for several weeks and spoiling it for people. It really did feel just like Madoka Magica in that you go in expecting a cutesy show for a younger audience but came out with EMOTIONAL DAMAGE.
Agreed!!! It 100% wouldn’t have hit as hard if they’d separated it into regular length episodes!!

Compare it to the manga and it was GLORIOUS!!! Legit glad that all this time finally a great adaptation and it’s a PROLOGUE nonetheless
Who expected it to be cute? I mean, it is cute. Made in Abyss is cute too. Madoka Magica is cute. The Promised Neverland is cute.
I don't think it was as sad as you think. I don't think AI is who you think she is. I think her death scene was a performance. I don't blame her. She wanted to get revenge on that guy who stabbed her. Well done.

It's a lot less damage if you've watched gundam. Killing off characters after you get to know them is kind of a calling card of Sunrise.

The most recent episode was genuinely chilling, especially given that just like Ai, Akane's character is similar to what happened to a real life Japanese celebrity.

The thing that really gets me is the fact that ep 6 is based off of a tragic real life story and even put a suicide hotline at the end, it makes it impossible to look away.

Honestly I don't know that that episode is based on a very specific suicide that happened. But I think there has been a lot of people since the pandemic to have really been pushed to a dark place and have done stuff that this stuff is much more in the consciousness. So while some people are accusing them of basing it off of particular one I'm not sure that it is
@@Veretax from what i've read, many tweets featured in the anime were blatant copy-pasted from that tragedy as well, which made people think that this episode was based off that particular tragedy that had happened.

The fact that it can go from dark reality to light hearted memes at the drop of a hat is the sign of a good show. I think we found the next Madoka Magica.
I mean it was kind of to be expected coming from the man, the myth, the legend Aka Akasaka. Kaguya-sama’s post-Christmas Arc says hi
And the best part Aka Akasaka before Kaguya-sama the cancelled manga he worked on back then is called instant bullet and damm he really pumping different stories of the same universe , along that both Madoka Magica and THIS use a subverted trope of their genres or themes into something actually mature and deep without removing the aspects of the predecessors of said kid of series (idols and magical girls) of lightheartedness
Oshi no ko is more magical girl site if anything.
The anime was a lie instead of it being a happy-go-lucky anime it's a psychological Thriller

I am a manga fan who hasn’t seen the anime. It was really fun to see everyone come crashing down when they expected a cute lil idol story.
Same here- honestly I only tried watching the first ep. Obviously the manga has more content so I prefer it, but the anime did not disappoint.
Im not a manga reader but you might wanna check out the anime too, the voice acting and animations go hard.

After watching the first episode, I died inside, I watched this episode five times, and when three days passed, I was able to pull myself together, I was simply shocked by Ai's death, I personally think that Ai's death was beautiful, those eyes and the smile on her face, she even died beautifully, with a smile on her face, maybe it will be off topic but her death reminded me of the death of Rengoku.

How did you already watch it 5 times ?!! I liked the episode but no matter how good the anime is i'd just get bored watching the same thing more than twice in a short period of time
i thought she was going to be saved in the hospital but the more she went on talking to her kids the more i realised that she was gonna die, and i kinda just accepted that pretty quickly 💀

The part where Aqua decided what he’d do for the rest of his life (trying to be spoiler free here lol), they changed the animation style from vibrant anime, to near monochromatic chalk drawing. It just hit different. Not to mention that was the first time we ever saw the star in his eye become black.

It truly has a mold breaking story that will definitely keep us all on our toes, I honestly feel like no matter what logical route we map out for this, the makes will plan for them all and find a way to sucker punch us with a twist we weren't expecting. Which, if you think about it, is brilliant.

I feel like the Wolfychu dance gif should be over her social media tags and centered on the art showcase. The way she points matches it.
When I watched it, my sister warned me about it, but I was so prepared for it that she was shocked😂
Before it aired I read it's storyline and was about to ignore, but then I focused on "A teen pregnant Idol" "father is unknown" "Doc got reincarnated" and thought it will be a bit different. But man it turns out very crazy( I thought it would be live of reincarnated Doc with Idol mother).
Opening song is just as good.
Opening song hits hard. Especially the last few words. Don't remember word for word, but something like, "I know this in my heart, this is not a lie when I say I love you."

wolfychu, fun fact, i was a hardcore fan of smg4 after getting reinvested into his channel, so one day i randomly decided to click one of the voice actors for one of the characters and i discovered you, now you are one of my favorite youtubers and i watch one of your videos after getting home from school everyday
I only watched the first episode of this anime but wow, it has a really crazy start and it definitely grabbed my attention.
I'm STILL watching [Oshi no ko], cause the story seems interesting. I also love the character designs (same character designer from Rent-a-Girlfriend, Selection Project).
I loved the first episode and I was not expecting that to happen I was shocked 😮 and I was sad 😢 I’m caught up so I need the rest of episodes to come out cus this is one of my favorite anime’s so far oh and i also need this to dubbed so I can rewatch it again 💜💜

Ngl the look of Ai reminds me of Yuuki from SAO, and quite honestly I can definitely understand the tremendously explosive hype about this anime as well. But I mean come on, being reborn as your favorite idol's child? Can't it be any crazier than that? _Facepalms_

While I’m actually not really into oshi no ko, Yuuki definitely was also what came into my mind looking at Ai, i just think Yuuki's message was more powerful, the message of courage even tho she didn’t had that long anymore. Maaaaan did Yuuki's death break me xD she’s my number 1 fave anime character in general

Too my perspectives too this anime is quite good upon the mystery vibe in the oshi no ko itself like how Aqua literally used his work opportunity as an part time actor to find many clue for who killed Ai Hoshino in manga aqua still figuring out who's the killer

Oh another anime I recommend is Lycoris Recoil.. Oml it’s SUPER underrated and got 2022’s most underrated anime. Honestly, I feel like Lycoris Recoil is near Oshi No Ko level. Please watch it 🙏
Some jokes in the beginning of the first episode were kinda rough. But it literally only gets better and goes up from there. The show gradually get so genuine and handles sensitive topics so seriously the father along it goes. Normally I would see those jokes and stop watching after one too many but my friend promised me there was something good and they we so right.
I was soooo sad when Ai died!!!!! I wish she stayed for a bit longer and Akane is slaying that Ai impersonation!!! 10/10 anime really really recommend

Oshinoko’s art style is literally gorgeous and the anime Makes you experience a lot of emotions and I’m sad for ai, that she died and she only got to tell her kids she loved them once.
The only thing I would wish is for aqua to see ai as his mother but ai is literally his dream girl 😭

The so-called "Fans" started talking crap about him, trying to get him kicked out of the business.
Like, What the heck? Celebrities are people too, they don't owe you ANYTHING, let them have lives outside of their WORK. Being a celebrity is a JOB. A job, is not your entire personality/life. You have a life outside of a job. Let them have theirs!

At first I thought this anime was overrated but after first epsoide I cried and went to read manga. I READ WHOLE 115 chapters without taking a break. This anime is not overrated or overhyped. Can't wait to watch the whole season once its finishes

Finished the anime a few days ago after seeing it everywhere. Will definitely tune in for the second season. I started a subscription to Hidive purely for Oshi No Ko.
At first, I thought this was a weird anime. It was showing up all over my TH-cam recommended and stuff. When I first read about the plot, it seemed so weird. Even more so when I started the first episode. But as I got through the first episode, I fell in love with this show, man. It really started catching my attention around episode 4-5 when social media influencers and stuff appeared. TH-cam has always been my dream. I've studied it like a hawk for a decade. I found myself going "I can relate" to "ehhh, that's not exactly how it works" to even "same." I also grew up acting and doing theater, another point allowing me to relate to the characters, lol. When it comes to social media, I've never seen my follower count go above 5k, yet I could still relate and get sucked in. When it comes to acting, although I don't act nearly as much as I used to, watching this show makes me want to get into acting and voice acting more. I felt myself relating to Aqua, editing my own videos tirelessly overnight, and having experience acting. At the same time, I kept wanting Aqua to just get into acting, like the other characters around him. Being like "cmon man, you're a talented actor!"
I enjoyed this anime more than any other Spring anime, which is insane. That means I enjoyed it more than Demon Slayer and Dr. Stone, 2 animes I waited to so long for and was so hyped to watch. If you told me from a week ago that I'd like this random anime for than DEMON SLAYER AND DR. STONE, I'd never believe you!
Anyway, I'll stop there. Thanks to anyone who read this. I've never had this sort of interest and connection to an anime before. I've always watched the super action-packed and unrealistic animes that pull you from irl instead of making you relate. Sorry if I came off egotistical at all. It's hard to explain how I feel I relate to this anime so much.

This show is just great. It only took me a few days to catch up with the manga and there are a few things I can hardly wait to get animated. The crazy thing is that you never know if you get a silly moment or an emotional wreaking ball next

I’m not very invested in some idol culture stuff for the most parts of musical and visual arts in business entertainment; but I’m more interested on behind their music stuff with deeper content of analytical investigations on their positive and negative outlooks through the natural and artificial health conditions from their performers sometimes or whatever. I don’t know so yea haha.

Just got into the show because I have soooooooo much anime to catch up on. 😅 Comparison to Madoka was on point. I just didn't have the same gut-punch I had a decade ago when I first watched it. I've been into so many "genre shift" type stories lately. But this one did give me the growing feeling of dread, especially during Ai's last focused part, where we're in her head until the episode climax. It's a little jarring to have the building dread through the eyes of someone so bubbly, but it worked so WELL. Great anime, watched all 11 episodes in one sitting. 😅

I went into the anime completely blind. I didn't know it was about idols, the entertainment industry or anything whatsoever, all I had was the name and was told to go into it blind and it would be worth it.
Boy, is it worth it... I haven't watched all that much anime for several years now, but this show has left me hungry for more.
It does have the same issue that I have with a lot of anime, that of the "OP protagonist" in this case, "The genius protagonist" who can solve almost any problem without breaking a sweat (which personally I find boring and predictable), but setting that aside, the show is absolutely amazing. I'm looking forward to where the story goes and if we are going to get a satisfying conclusion to it at the end or if its going to be another "See you next season" which might never happen, or "Go read the manga if you want the ending".

My focus on this series is primarily about revenge. How far will Aqua go? How many people he will harmed directly or indirectly on the way to find his father? Will he killed his own father for real to exact revenge on his mother? What will his mother, Ai Hoshino, think?
Also, I am surprised you did not bring the fan-made crossover with Zombieland Saga and Oshi no Ko here like at all. I see many people on the Internet were quite crazy about it to the point that they proclaimed the idea of Ai Hoshino being revived as a new member of the Franchouchou as the happy ending in their eyes. And to me at least, that is a good thing as long as they respected canon.

Honestly, I'd like to see an anime or video game titled "World Invasion," a (possible) franchise based upon Battle: Los Angeles, Girls und Panzer, and High School Fleet. The aliens in this will still be the Landsharks from Battle: LA, and I'd like it as dark as Spec Ops: The Line. It'll also be primarily focused on most undermentioned characters in both GuP and HSF.
(I'd make it an FPS-RPG, too.)
Been a year or so since I watched a Wolfychu's vid.
Her voice has somehow become deeper.
It does a really good job portraying the reality of the idol and the entertainment industry in general, I really love this show! It's really well written, all of the characters represent different parts of the industry.
