He clearly did not pay alot attention while watching this show. Cylar was arguably the deepest character in the show. In terms of character development and struggle. PS; point behind the troll-humor was to demonstrate that people like that, there is no reason to correct them. Telling a stupid person they are stupid is like convincing a crazy person that they are crazy. If they knew they were crazy, they wouldn't be. :p

I don't care what anyone else says, I feel that Sylar is one of the most deep, well-developed, characters ever. In some ways, I relate to his pain and his anguish in not knowing his own purpose and the constant struggles with inner demons. While not condoning his actions, I can't necessarily say that I fault him for it either. It is like some one reached inside of him and destroyed the man he once thought of himself to be. His whole life...one big lie. Combined with his ability's side effect of hunger and people trying to exploit him at every turn....yeah..I have a hard time not siding with him. I am glad he redeemed himself and became the hero. A true sign that someone twisted and evil can still be saved. It inspires hope to those who made mistakes (though extreme in Sylar's case) that they can overcome their shortcomings. A hero is not one that always wins, but has known defeat and overcame it.
This vid reminds me of how ambiguous Sylar was. I mean at the begining it's so easy to consider him as evil, as the monster. But then I always feared he would die, I always enjoyed his scenes. I never hated him, especially when they told us about his mom. Later I wished he'd find his place & his identity. Whether he would try to repent or decide to embrace his "dark side", he used to hurt so much. Trying so hard. I felt all that again with your vid. Amazing work...again ! :D
I just thought about the fact that Sylar's power, "understanding how things work and how to fix them if they're broken." How sad it really is because he could do that with everything but it took him so long to finally do it to himself.
Heroes was such a great series, and I'm so sad that it ended, but this is so fantastic, so perfect. Sylar was such a wonderfully complex character and I'm glad to see someone do his character - and Quinto's acting - justice in this way.
This is just brilliant. I completely agree, I loved what Quinto did with Sylar. Half the time I hated him, the other time I just wanted him to be redeemed. He ended up being one of my favorite characters for the show. This was very well done, and the voice overs fit perfectly. Thanks for it.

Oh my god. I just started watching Heroes a week ago and I've been sucked in so fast I didn't even get to blink. It is such a great series. I am almost finished, and it makes me really sad. But I've come to love Sylar, despite not wanting to, and this video is wonderful. It is just a perfect portrayal of his character and how he changes and grows. Iziah Bush If someone killed a person on purpose (and not to defend someones life) he's already not good. If he keeps killing after people "trick" him to do so he only becomes worse. To admire a bad person or not to admire is another question.
I miss this show so much, it so horrible how it just ended. So much more potential. Sylar one of the greatest and complex villians in television history.
