The XG49VQ is a great monitor I really enjoyed the curved screen and the superwide size. Unfortunately mine developed a power issues 1 year in. Sent it back 3times for repair. 1st time - it was fixed worked for 1 week, 2nd- it came back and it still was not fixed, 3rd time- I received an email stating the monitor was cracked and it would cost $799 to repair, apparently it was mishandled by the shipping company. Thankfully I took plenty of pictures before I sent it proving it was in good condition when it was sent. Asus couldn't get me a new replacement as it was now discontinued and offered something similar in price , I said No and they send me a full refund of the monitor. But it was a great monitor while it last..
The monitor works great, but I'm only interested in one thing, and that is whether that monitor has the option to divide the monitor into two parts with an invisible line like on the Samsung G9
Was that a 34 inch ultra wide you had behind the Asus? I'm likely picking this up or the Samsung alternative upgrading from an LG 34 inch ultra wide. Gives me a better sense of scale seeing that!
Hey, I´m about to purchase this monitor mainly for multitasking. I want to make sure if my laptop (acer nitro i5 7300hq-geforce gtx 1050i, 16 gb ram, core i5 8th gen) will be enough for this monitor? I recently I only play Valorant, Fortnite, League of Legeds. Would it be ok to play these games? Thank you!
what about pixel density? I have a 27 1440p monitor and I´m obsessed with samsung chg90 (have similar specs) but I´m afraid of the lack of resolution. Cheers from Uruguay
IF you had shown the assembly you would have thousands more views and thumbs up (because there's no video on google right away after typing ''assembly of ROG STRIX XG...''showing that, only unboxing. The instructions on this thing are absolute shit too. Dont let this tone have anything to do with the performance of this monitor im trying to assemble it using the instructions. Might just have to man it and just build the fking thing the way I think it goes.
nope! because it causes flickering when you turn on gysnc compatibility i have this monitor, i just turn it of because it is so annoying (flickering) depends how much the flickering on which game u play but there is always flickering with gsync compatiblity

thats why i went with dual asus 32inch curved monitors there 2560x1440 on that size you can tell a big differene between 1080 and 1440
