Very interesting, disgusting how it was left. About 20 years ago, my son put his big sister's "cabbage patch doll" in the fridge. When asked by his mum what he was doing, he said " I'm doing Daddie's work" ( I was a funeral director) my son did not see anything wrong to speaking to elderly people in their coffins, he was very respectful towards the deceased. I used to tell the families that my son had "spoken" to their loved ones and it seemed to help. He just seemed to say "hello" "goodnight" to them as you would a friend. Keep up the good work Dave, God bless.
My sister died at 25 & I miss her. I can say I would have been honored if someone came to talked to her even if it was in death. My sister would have loved it. Your son was a beautiful sweet soul too do that for the soul’s that passed on.
Dave I love how raw and honest you are on your videos. You wear your heart on your sleeve and you're not afraid to admit you've struggled since the death of your nan. You are basically the type of man any woman would be proud to be with. Someone who's not afraid to be honest about how they feel. Your only fault is you worry too much about how others perceive you. We love watching your videos and that's why yey follow you. Don't apologise for being you. Your videos are amazing and you are always so respectful of your surroundings. Keep being you and smashing these explores ❤
I live in the US and over the years I have played piano/organ at many funerals. My first was in a tiny church, I arrived early to practice and was alone. The casket was open with a young boy 😢 and it was right next to the piano. It literally scared me at first! On the small town next to mine there was a funeral home similar to this one, chapel on the 1st floor and living quarters up above. Great video, Dave, enjoy your time here! Thank you!
@AWE83 She would fully understand, I never went to see my mum for the same reason, and it's your own personal choice, you do what's best for yourself x
You are by far the best explorer on TH-cam. You show such respect and compassion. Love your accent as you tell your stories. The South is full of stories.
'Could I live there' ? NO way...Dave, the creep factor in this video - with the coffins, the 'outfits for the dead', the embalming room, etc., goes WAY beyond some of your spookiest explores of abandoned homes ! Thanks for taking us along.
Been with you on these explores for years now, keep up the good work, and stay strong Dave, life is challenging sometimes but there is always a brighter day coming xx
That was a really good explore. I definitely couldn’t go in there looking at all those coffins and all that stuff. I just can’t understand why it wasn’t cleaned out.👍
OMG! this is one scary, creepy place with the limos and no I could never live in that place however the fireplace and some of the furniture was very nice. Thanks for sharing this Dave. Take care
4:30 - that American flag folded, into the shape of a triangle ? That's what they do for American soldiers that have been killed in combat. The flag is draped over their coffin, for their journey home, then the flag is carefully folded - like that one is - and given to the family, of the deceased ! What's that even doing there ?!!
These shows always expose how necessary it is for us to convert all paper documents to digital. Look how careless and irresponsible they were with peoples important documents and information.
Indeed, it IS SOMETHING VERY SERIOUS THATS GIVEN TO. NEXT OF KIN. A VERY MOVING MOMENT to watch them fold it PRECISELY and then both hand it to the surviving usually child or widow, you did Incredible Dave ❤❤❤
Dave, I could hardly believe my eyes when you showed us all the very many posh motors/hearses that were left behind. Looked like a cemetery/burial place for cars as well! Any how, I 've made up my mind that I want to be cremated, instead of buried. Another wonderful explore.
This was a bit of a difficult one for me x Bless you, Dave, grief affects us all differently. I lost my 17yr old son 3 1/2 years ago. It definitely changed me, my relationships and even lost friends over it. We learn to grow through what we go through. Take care and if you've gotta wear crocs, I am pretty sure they make boots now 😅
As always an amazing video. We all love and support you my friend, no need to apologize for expressing your feelings. That's what makes you real you're awesome hun. Be careful!
All those caskets could be given to a home for people who can’t afford. This funeral director failed to get his house in order before passing. A shame to see this home so vandalized and left to rot. Nice explore, Dave. Hope Americans treats you right. 🇺🇸 🇬🇧
At. 19:01/44:37 The machine is where they put the embalming fuilds in, normally low down in the neck. Same thing with the bottle on the pole. First they'd drain the body of blood as the body lies on a steel embalming table. The blood drains down to a hole in the table and it drains down through a pipe. The eyes get caps up in them then the lids go over them to keep the lids down. Cotton is shoved inside the nose to keep fluid from leaking out. The mouth gets a long needle that's used to put stiches in to keep the mouth shut. Cotton is shoved up the butt to hold back fuild leakage after the body is washed and dried. The finger nails are trimed, make-up is applied -- hair is done after the body is dressed. Alot of times the back of the clothes are cut to make dressing the body easyer, but not always & alot of times the person is buried without shoes. My grandfather worked for a funeral home. He was transporting a body once in the late 1940's when the body just sat upright ! It scared the crap out of him. One Halloween we barrowed a high school teacher's hearse .(that's what he liked to drive-- he was cool, great sence of humour.) I was dressed like an 1800's dead person and would sit up in the wooden coffin we'd made, just a low light in the back. At traffic light's I'd sit up!😂 Fun days.
Many moons ago, my family was in the business and is it a bit nutty. When you hear the details how everything‘s done for the services at times it’s hard to wrap your head around it 🤪. That’s why I don’t want to be laid out send me right to the crematorium, go online and pick up a nice urn with some animals or flowers on it 🤔. One and done Lol 😂. As they say the only time you see, people are at weddings or funerals. Naturally, I would I’d rather see them at a wedding 😊. Then again, maybe I should make time to see them outside of that 😉.
My friend passed away on Saturday night at 1am 5th Oct 2024. He had cancer that spread from his lungs to his brain. I'm depressed and not sleeping well etc. I'm just glad he's not confused and in pain any more. The sad thing is his so called friends stopped visiting him. He was left laying in his bed at his mom's home alone seeing only close friends & his fam. Then you see them all on FB saying how he was a awesome dude 😒. Anyhow. He knew who his real friend's were. Thank you for doing this video. Your right all the private files etc should have been burned or shredded and disposed of. Especially the pictures etc. that's totally disrespectful. I think they went bust by the looks of things. Maybe because sketchy stuff was going down there. Not looking after ppl properly and ripping folks off etc. something fishy happened for sure man
The funeral industry is a big rort. The amount of money they charge is outrageous! There would be some really shady business that goes on behind close doors
Loving your American explores! I'm in Edinburgh Scotland and work as a church organist. I always feel I want the music for a funeral to be perfect for the grieving family and try to make it really nice.
Dave your feelings are validated. If we block emotions we block moving forward. It's good to feel sad,mad or whatever. Yes, sometimes people in our life get the repercussions of our actions. But being true to yourself is essential! Explore on😊
All the records should be given to Dept of Public Records so they can update people's family trees. There's a lot of my tree that is missing and now I see why. Thank you Adam, for being so respectful of these people, but I believe these records are very important.
My dad died when I was 11 years old. They had the coffin there after the ceremony the family goes to the coffin to saybthere good byes. I remember this like it was yesterday. Then anyone could go up after my family and I said goodbyes. We were escorted to the limousines we waited until everyone had their chance. They then closed the coffin and moved it to the Hearst. My mother stand behind and waited for the guests. She broke down and cried hard you could hear from the limo. It was the first and only time she cried. She had 4 kids to raise alone. So she didn't get to grieve much. After dad was put in the Hearst we followed it to the spot where he was to be buried. It was the coldest day in Maryland. And the saddest day of my life. I now work for a hospice caring for people at their end of life. But I'm not so sure I could do the after death care. I mean when a pt dies we clean them and wait for the mortuary to pick them up. But to do all the other things and to live there no I could not.
I believe the clear tv is a prison issued tv. Inmates in the US can purchase super expensive little TVs for their cells. They are usually clear plastic as far as I know. I could be wrong.... 🤷🏻 Never been to prison but know people.... lol. Great video!! So sad to see all of that left behind. Dave... Please get some exploring gear.... Especially shoes!!! I'd hate for something bad to happen to you 😢❤
Loved the video! It makes me sad to see all of the documents and photos left around. I love doing family history research and the information in those records could really be valuable to someone like me looking for information on an ancestor. I would want to gather all of that up and the photos and try to find the family members to give them that stuff. Love’s truck stops are great. We stop there with our RV when we travel. Enjoy your trip and safe travels.
Aw 17:29, what we saying! That awesome Gothy black coffin with the glass face plate 🖤🖤🖤🖤. That looked a real tough explore on your nerve and your emotions Dave. Many Thanks for sharing.
My first thought was, when they went bust, they should have disposed of the documents properly. But then I thought, it is in their property, it’s not like it was left in public. I dunno, I’m just thinking of all the scenarios. Or they may have thought,n they would one day re open. I’m with you Dave, I couldn’t see my loved ones dead. I remember them alive. I am 59 now and I’m starting to worry about death, of me, of my husband, of my siblings. It’s horrible getting old
You would not see me down there on my own...sorry to hear you had such a hard time i think we all go through it at some stage of our lives much hugs x✨☘️
Dave, was so touched by your comments about your precious Nan, I lost my mom suddenly 2 years ago and my son who saw her also has a second mom was and is still devastated, she was my best friend and her loss never goes away. Sending you lots of luck and I enjoy your videos so very much. X
Much respect to you for not doing a paranormal investigation on there.. it seems all these urban explorers want to go in that direction now.. thank you for keeping it real
@aislingfitzroy8838 it's quite frustrating to be honest.. most of them pick things up and then drop it only to look surprised and ask if anyone else saw it..
I am friends with a director of a funeral home. It takes someone special to do so. I asked her one day how did she do it. She said, “It is hard. I have so much empathy for people. I pray a lot. I have to be there for the family.”
I absolutely love this exploration!!!! I would seriously have the hardest time being in that mansion myself due to personal reasons but I absolutely love watching you!
What an interesting place. Looks like vandals dumped all those papers, who could run a business like that? Maybe the vandals were looking for money or checks? Sad that so much goes to waste when a place is abandoned. I feel for you, saying you were in a bad mood lately, and feeling you need to apologize, you are a good person, even if you get a bit cranky now and then. You're only human. ❤ The coffins make me sad, so many choose cremation these days, to avoid burial costs... Make sure to have life insurance to help cover costs when you are the one who needs care after death. That is about all we can do to lessen the blow of losing someone, for our family members and children. Make sure to have your stuff in order. My children's father passed 5 years ago without insurance or a will, and we are still dealing with his house and the costs of finishing up his estate. 😢 Thank you for the tour. 🌸
Ahojte!
That machine was the embalming machine, I aren't sure but the container was either to collect the fluid that comes out.... Or it could be where they put the embalming fluid..... 😊
Dave my heart goes out to you with loosing you Nana. I did the same thing when I lost my dad when I was 26. It was a devastating time. Please feel the feelings and take it day by day. I get it. 😢❤. Hopefully you have someone to talk to!🙏
FYI autopsy is usually performed at the city/county morgue not a funeral home. What that machine is for is embalming fluid. Also, those sinks were the style when I was a baby in the 60's. Great porcelain sinks that lasted forever, apparently.
I love watching your content. You're my absolute favorite explorer. I hope one day I can actually get to meet you in person. You're respectful and caring about the places and history of each place you visit. I also enjoy hearing about you and your life and family. Thank you for all you do.
So sorry to hear about your nans passing. She will be proudly watching over you. I am a new subscriber and absolutely love your videos, all the content and your respect you have for the places you visit. Your content is by far the best exploring on TH-cam, you have taken it to the next level. Thank you
Ohhhh cool...another video..I will watch this later on my TV...I am on my way out the Door...this is going to be a great one.. Thanks Dave...I support AWE❤
Hi Dave! Like you said that place is crazy with the amount of stuff left there and sad with all the paperwork on people just left all over the place. Thank you and stay safe Dave❤
Brilliant Story, dear😮 I trinken the machine was used for draining blood from the bodies to conservate them. It' s a usual procedure. Awesome exploration. Greetings from germany
In case anyone hasnt mentioned it, when a person passes away and they go to a place like this, even today, their is a process that the staff have to undertake (Excuse the pun) that makes most people wretch thinking about it. To prevent a person from rotting, something has to be removed. The person has to be flushed with appropriate chemicals to push and pump out the persons blood. Yes, this happens. The undertaker has to set up equipment to pump out the blood and flush it through, this is probably why in Daves upload you see hospital equipment for holding up drip bags, thats for the undertakers to hook bags of liquids on. I know if this information as a friend of ours worked at a funeral parlour. Great upload Dave, some very old info in that lot, all those names of people who are now gone, those who served in the "Small disagreements 1914-1918 and the slightly bigger disagreement 1939-1945. Anyone know Jon?" Keep up the great explores Dave!
Grief is a very hard emotion to deal with and takes us in all directions. There are people I have lost and have never got over their loss but, you learn somehow to live and cope with it. Bless ya lad for coming through the treacle.
I work in assisted living and take care of people who are dying also have passed away and get them ready for family to come say goodbye before funeral home comes for them, and its very sad but making a difference in someone's life is what matters. We all go out of this world the exact same, so love one another and be kind. I am terrified of death, but can take care of the dying so kind of weird. I could live above a funeral home I think because I love the paranormal but also terrified of death.
I agree all those personal records shouldn't be shattered on the floor , it's obvious people have got in and trashed the records and photos.Sort of things young kids do for a kick . Owner probably left the place locked up
Im just watching your video and had to comment, I love your explores and how you are so respectful to each situation. I totally agree with you that all those personal documents shouldnt be left like that, absolutely terrible. Right im off to watch the rest of it, Ill comment again later ☘️
Dave, I just found you on my homepage and subscribed immediately. Just watched you guys earlier on Josh's channel. Hope you are still over there an enjoy your time. 🤍Love across the Pond!
I'm from Kentucky in the United States and there is a Love's Travel Shop in the small town I live in. There is a Wendy's restaurant inside Love's that is open 24/7. A lot of truckers will stop there and take showers. Funeral homes have Chapels in them. Some people have funeral services there and some have them in a Church. Welcome to the United States!!
Thank you for sharing. Yes, Nan would want you to carry on, but we always have to go through the process of grieving. We all grieve differently so to feel guilty for things we did is useless. I’m glad you did your part but even more glad your BACK!! ❤
I was going to take the course for funeral director but I talked myself out of it because I'm too emotional and I wouldn't be able to talk to people about their loved ones without crying. But I can definitely live above one of those places that stuff doesn't creep me out I mean look at all the haunted videos I watched from you and Dan and and Andrew geez I could do that no problem. This is my kind of place I would go in there and clean that place up and make it mine, I know I'm weird this is the ultimate tour of a funeral home you never get to see so Dave thank you for this .😊
I went and saw my gran as when she passed she was kept at home until 2 days before funeral I will say it freaked me out so I couldn’t go to see my parents or my husband even now to think about it all I can see is a weird smile on her face and anybody who knew her would say that she hardly ever smiled
I did apply for a job in a funeral home ,about thirty five years ago .I was told in the job centre ,that I was the only person that applied ,but they would not even give me an interview ,because I was a woman .I hope it is different now .I think it was discrimination .
Hey I see me
Love it when all of sudden you appear!
My late mum used to say....... The dead won't hurt you..... It's the living you have to worry about
My Dad used to say that also.
Very interesting, disgusting how it was left.

@aislingfitzroy8838 it's quite frustrating to be honest.. most of them pick things up and then drop it only to look surprised and ask if anyone else saw it..
That coffin with the dummy made me 💩 myself 😂😂. Great explore. 👍
I am friends with a director of a funeral home. It takes someone special to do so. I asked her one day how did she do it. She said, “It is hard. I have so much empathy for people. I pray a lot. I have to be there for the family.”
Brilliant episode and crazy how much important stuff is left everywhere xx
I absolutely love this exploration!!!! I would seriously have the hardest time being in that mansion myself due to personal reasons but I absolutely love watching you!
What an interesting place.
Looks like vandals dumped all those papers, who could run a business like that? Maybe the vandals were looking for money or checks?
Sad that so much goes to waste when a place is abandoned.
I feel for you, saying you were in a bad mood lately, and feeling you need to apologize, you are a good person, even if you get a bit cranky now and then. You're only human. ❤
The coffins make me sad, so many choose cremation these days, to avoid burial costs...
Thank you for the tour. 🌸
I get it. 😢❤. Hopefully you have someone to talk to!🙏
Hello, Dave! The amount of stuff in that place was unreal!
Honestly was so bad and the fact weird stuff was going on was beyond me
FYI autopsy is usually performed at the city/county morgue not a funeral home. What that machine is for is embalming fluid.
Also, those sinks were the style when I was a baby in the 60's. Great porcelain sinks that lasted forever, apparently.
Oh really thanks for the info was horrible in there the bugs and everything
Looks like the funeral home has been vandalized more than once or twice. Records are not left laying around like that.
I cleaned so much today after watching this it's now 9 pm. I finished .😅 great video, thank you.
I love watching your content. You're my absolute favorite explorer. I hope one day I can actually get to meet you in person. You're respectful and caring about the places and history of each place you visit. I also enjoy hearing about you and your life and family. Thank you for all you do.
Another great vid thank you x sending warm vibes from Ireland ✨🕊️☘️

So sorry to hear about your nans passing. She will be proudly watching over you. I am a new subscriber and absolutely love your videos, all the content and your respect you have for the places you visit. Your content is by far the best exploring on TH-cam, you have taken it to the next level. Thank you
The lamps and marble tables are beautiful
Dang... that scares me when you opened the casket.. got me screamed loud😀

Wow, another amazing explore! The windows in this place are absolutely gorgeous. Thank you Mark!❤
I am so enjoying watching exploring my country. Hope you are enjoying the trip. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤
Holy moly I jumped when you opened that casket up
Hi Dave! Like you said that place is crazy with the amount of stuff left there and sad with all the paperwork on people just left all over the place. Thank you and stay safe Dave❤
My Nan used to say the dead cabt hurt you. Beware if the living. Well put together video.
Wow what a crazy place Dave I’m really enjoying seeing your American road trip 👍 keep up the great work.
Brilliant Story, dear😮 I trinken the machine was used for draining blood from the bodies to conservate them. It' s a usual procedure. Awesome exploration. Greetings from germany
I have never seen so much stuff in one place before. Really great video thanks for sharing with us.
Loved this explore, you're videos are always so thorough and thoughtful. Thanks Dave
😳 how is there so much stuff and paperwork!? Its a ridiculous amount 🤷♀️
Some nice looking caskets, knowing my luck when I pass I'll end up in a skip in a rolled up carpet
This was brilliant Dave
Another great watch! Enjoy your trip! Looking forward to your next adventure!
Anyone know Jon?"
Keep up the great explores Dave!
Grief is a very hard emotion to deal with and takes us in all directions. There are people I have lost and have never got over their loss but, you learn somehow to live and cope with it. Bless ya lad for coming through the treacle.
Blimey!! I jumped when you lifted the coffin with mannequin inside, can’t believe all the pics left behind
My son looked good when the funeral directors did him. Broke my heart seeing him like that. X
Great explore Dave!
Good Sunday Dave I’m enjoying this one ❤❤❤
Love the video! Glad you made it to the U.S.
I went from watching on my phone to casting your video to my TV!🎉🥳
Omg. I jumped so much when you opened that casket. My heart is still pounding. 😱😳
Me too. I almost choked on my coffee
There are so many funeral homes that are ending up like this. Creepy.
Great location.
Newbie here from Australia 🇦🇺
Sending love 💜
I agree all those personal records shouldn't be shattered on the floor , it's obvious people have got in and trashed the records and photos.Sort of things young kids do for a kick . Owner probably left the place locked up
You are the best explorer on you tube so considerate of people’s things 😊
Wow Dave what an explore !!! Although the mum in me wishes you had jeans and trainers on not crocs🤣🤣🤣. Loving the American stuff it’s fab. Stay safe 😊
Im just watching your video and had to comment, I love your explores and how you are so respectful to each situation. I totally agree with you that all those personal documents shouldnt be left like that, absolutely terrible.
Right im off to watch the rest of it, Ill comment again later ☘️
I see a CardioGlide exercise machine in the living room !! I still have mine too !!🙂
Dave when you opened the coffin with the dummy in it I jumped with you 😮😅❤
Dave, I just found you on my homepage and subscribed immediately. Just watched you guys earlier on Josh's channel. Hope you are still over there an enjoy your time. 🤍Love across the Pond!
You are the best Dave, wow fabulous, everyone must have been on edge of their seat, as you walked around,
And you tell a fabulous tale thank you xx
I'm from Kentucky in the United States and there is a Love's Travel Shop in the small town I live in. There is a Wendy's restaurant inside Love's that is open 24/7. A lot of truckers will stop there and take showers.
Funeral homes have Chapels in them. Some people have funeral services there and some have them in a Church. Welcome to the United States!!
I choked on my chicken when you opened up that coffin with a dummy in it. Scared the crap out of me.
Really great episode. Thank you. ❤
Thank you for sharing. Yes, Nan would want you to carry on, but we always have to go through the process of grieving. We all grieve differently so to feel guilty for things we did is useless. I’m glad you did your part but even more glad your BACK!! ❤
Hello Davie...baie dankie vir hierdie puik channel van jou...keep it going;)
I was going to take the course for funeral director but I talked myself out of it because I'm too emotional and I wouldn't be able to talk to people about their loved ones without crying. But I can definitely live above one of those places that stuff doesn't creep me out I mean look at all the haunted videos I watched from you and Dan and and Andrew geez I could do that no problem. This is my kind of place I would go in there and clean that place up and make it mine, I know I'm weird this is the ultimate tour of a funeral home you never get to see so Dave thank you for this .😊
Hi Dave no I couldn't live in a funeral home, too many spirits. Stay safe Dave 🙏
I went and saw my gran as when she passed she was kept at home until 2 days before funeral I will say it freaked me out so I couldn’t go to see my parents or my husband even now to think about it all I can see is a weird smile on her face and anybody who knew her would say that she hardly ever smiled
wow that was a sad place . thanks for sharing . ❤❤ stay safe love ya
I did apply for a job in a funeral home ,about thirty five years ago .I was told in the job centre ,that I was the only person that applied ,but they would not even give me an interview ,because I was a woman .I hope it is different now .I think it was discrimination .
