I am in a wheelchair and one time while crossing the road I had the right away and all cars stopped except one he hit me to the point the edge of his bumper grabbed my chair he took me about 2 blocked before he stopped and I was able to get loose from his car he then took off and was never found I had a broken arm and foot .
"Obey the law" The concept of Jaywalking, was victim blaming that was written into law. I feel no obligation to follow the laws of man while mindful that attempting to break the laws of nature will only break me.
I just dint understand how I can be at a signaled cross walk and somone can have a green light making a right turn when I'm walking, like why not have a red arrow wile the walking signal is on, I've almost been hit by people making right turns on green
Old video but i was trying to come home from the park with my siblings thought it was safe to cross so i darted out this truck came and hit me i fell on my right arm broke my right leg i was shaking crying people were crowding me they called 911 i was crying but no tears were coming out from the shock i wasn't thinking clearly that Day now i have ptsd and i don't want to go outside ever again
I still think walking or riding a bike with traffic is more dangerous then walking or bike riding against traffic cuz you can see if a motorist is about to hit you if ya go with then you can’t see if a car is Gianna hit you from behind
It depends on several factors, mostly road composition and available biking infrastructure, but many times it's safer to bike than walk, especially for women.
