I too have a 05 RT,,, regarding the phone mount,, I think your phone mount looks good,if a little OTT,what you could have done is buy a phone mount bolt that screws into the Handel bar bolt. it looks ok,,,,, I still have the assit braking which does work great,(until it does not!!!) I,v been wondering at the performance of a system without the servo,,so "what it like at the lever?" I,m 6foot ,but over the years I,v had the bike I seem to be getting more uncomfortable. I purchased bar raisers ,which made no difference, seat lower or raised still nah.. Now tempted by lower footpegs.. But all seem very pricey... so still looking... Regarding tyres I started with Michelin which are very good,,,then onto Avon Storms good but wore out in no time...Now Pirelli s OKish..Would go back to Michelins in a heart beat but do not fancy selling a organ... Yeah the bike does handle, and as I,m not the best rider, its easy to ride quick and ok if you like to get your elbow down..regards ps instead of painting your new pans,,, have them wrapped!!
Hi, thanks for your comments. I wanted a phone mount that was central, it works for me, I need to use it in earnest. The brakes are good enough. The leaver feels solid and the power is there. I use two fingers for most things and the back one is OK too. I'm not going to get into tyre, it's a personal thing. The BT31's are good, I hope they last OK. No plans to change the panniers, functionally they are sound but thanks for the tip.
Hi, I got the seat off ebay, but I think I got lucky, there aren't many around. It is broken, one of the plastic fixings on the rear of the seat is missing, but it fits and works OK. It's not heated but I don't miss this. It does make a big difference in terms of getting your feet down but this also affects the riding position too, which doesn't bother me. I guess it would be possible to get a standard seat modified, there are places that can do this for you.
Thanks for sharing Rider33, useful content 👌🏽
Thanks for watching, greasy spoon experience coming soon.
