I've seen players get annoyed waiting for one guy grabbing samples / POIs. Personally idc what people do but if one diver is off looking for loot ill hold that evac point until the last possible second. That diver is possibly getting super credits for all of us, they deserve a chance to get home.

Even when I'm rushing to collect stuff around the map, primarily samples and possibly super credits, the moment I see a shuttle extraction called I rush to extraction, I do not know if they are actually going to wait or abandon me because they have max samples or not. It's always amusing how people will just decide for everyone else what's going on without a single word, and somehow expect everyone to be on the same wave length as them.
This would be great if I haven't been at max samples for five weeks straight

With how expensive everything is, I'd never think I'd reach a maximum but here I am with a maxed out ship and still unable to kill a behemoth reliably without a flamethrower. Now I just go after medals and super credits because I can still buy out the stray items in the warbonds and the daily armors, but those will run out too.
It does feel like hunters were stealth buffed. They're consistently more trouble now. Even in smaller numbers. They sometimes knock down most of my health instantly.
But they dont massive slow anymore so thats a big plus

Yesterday we where in a blitz mission. Time was almost up and I had almost all the samples and found the SEAT artillery, the rest of the team already went to extract early. I was trying to do it but bugs just kept crawling up my ass and the shuttle was waiting and they actually said in chat lets wait for blue. It was a timeout though so it was about to leave, ran to extract with 45s left and jumped to the ledge of the extract platform with the jetpack and got in with literally 1s left lol.

It would be nice if you could transmute lower class samples into higher grade samples. I'm usually maxxed out in greens on a regular basis. If I could swap 10 greens for a single orange I would jump on that in a heartbeat.
Of all the Helldivers 2 content creators, this is my favorite. And of(f) course! He is the one releasing the fewest videos.
I’m at level 150 and maxed out on samples and got all warbonds . Only thing I do now is help lower levels collect samples , super credits and medals .
I hope we get upgrades beyond the Super Destroyer like Weapon Customization. Doesn’t have to be game changing, just something else to spend samples on that collect dust.

They need to add two more ranks to the existing ship module upgrades. I don't care if it's diminishing returns for each rank, I just need something to sink my samples into. I've been capped for almost a month.

hey, question. How about a nerf to the incendiary breaker? I get that we have had a bad rep in the past for nerfs but trust me this one will be ok. The incendiary breaker is just too powerful. At its current state it will always be best in slot. So what about a nerf to its armor pen? Keep what makes it incendiary, keep the massive horde clear potential. But it opens up the opportunity for AR's and other shotguns with higher armor pen to be best for other situations.

@@thomasboland1145 off the top of my head? Idk give standard breaker the highest medium pen and increase spray&prey damage to 270 or 280 with either an extra mag or 30ish rounds per mag. Probably increase durable damage on both as well

Youd be surprised how many ppl don't check their maps and just run with the crowd. That and depending on the lvl they all most likely already have max samples so waiting for someone to collect them all isnt worth their time. If they were credit farming I'd be on board.

In my games if you call extraction too early you’re getting booted. I’m here to have a good time and clear the map not speed run the mission.

I hope that the next ship upgrades don't cost 300 samples or something like that. It would be great if they added new kinds of samples and the tier 5 ship upgrades stopped requiring the common ones.
Also we need some ship upgrades that affect the mechs.
there was a leak at one point with what it looked like new sample icons and about mech upgrades they would be nice but i hope we get a 3rd one before that
Rare samples is the issue for me... cant find enough.. i have enough common and super sample for atleast 2 or 3 lvl 4 ship ugrades.. but rare samples i am stock on 20...
@@TheSuperf12 I feel like the whole sample economy is kinda broken ever since the tier 4 ship upgrades were introduced. 150 common AND 150 rares for each of them is kinda nuts, I always felt like the cost of rare samples per upgrade was gonna be lower than the common, but that makes a little too much sense for this game lol

Conversion from one resource type to another, and/or some kind of resource sink for excess currency and samples would be nice...
i hate randoms so much. they waste so much time doing nothing, but as soon as it's about collectiing samples or bunkers they suddenly don't have time.

You can hear them... Put headphones rares are loud AF can hear em from like 10m away vs visual icon being like 1-3m

Are you serious? I mean... I have surely heard the yellow flower type of samples make a humming, shrilling noise. But not the rest of them.
Man, watching the team leave you while sample farming was painful.
I'm level 57 and struggling to collect the samples for the final 2 level 4 modules, and seeing people completely skip on collecting samples gets tiring (especially high level players). 150 rares for each level 4 module is a drag to collect, while I'm almost drowning on commons and have more than enough supers at this point.
I wish AH would make rares spawn on the "common only" missions in higher difficulties, that would help a bit.
This is exactly why I still grab all of them. I'm not the only one in the universe.

I don't get why they didn't wait. This happens to me too. I drop the samples at the exfil and the a genius runs up grabs the samples and then runs accross the map exclusively to get killed and lose all the samples, and I have to run to get them back, it's insane
Alot of them don't need samples ao their leaving to get more medals faster or just to play the next mission. Make sure to tell em your trying for samples. If they still go to leave hopefully your host just kick em
@@goreobsessed2308 thats fine. But I am getting the samples and leaving them at the exfil spot. So I can grab them later in case I die far. But what’s happening is that other players are grabbing the samples and then taking them like 300+ meters away and the they get killed with the samples very far away from the exfil. This happened like 4 times yesterday. It’s insane

Yeah there’s no way those people are maxed out already. I’m lvl 68 and I still have one more ship upgrade to do. And I don’t even need super samples, but the rares are gatekeeping
It's all according to how you look at it I got all the upgrades I "needed: by 50 but I also farmed back when I started. Still got plenty I could unlock but I dont go out the way to get em. I just ask if anyone needs any if not I dont go out the way to check the stuff I've blown up from afar 😂

We need currency sinks so bad. AH isn't going to rollout a new set of ship modules monthly, but another way to spend samples and whatnot would be great even if it's something trivial. We could donate them to Super Earth and get a separate rank based on that, maybe a few cosmetics and titles once we get really high. Something to flex that doesn't affect gameplay.
Probably spend samples and requisition on weapon attachments if they ever add that
@@xyriliawhitestrake7263 Sure, but that's another temporary sink. Once players have farmed out everything they'll be back to being capped and nothing to spend on. We need something that's either infinite or takes a really long time to max out.
We need the vehicle bay upgrades already so we can make the mechs a good stratagem again. We probably have to wait half a year for the other vehicle stratagems to be drip fed into the game first though. You can actually see the words vehicle bay stamped to the right of where Eagle 1 is parked.
Copers can suck it. Mechs are garbage. Patriot might be better now with the MG buff, but the MG was already good its the missile damage and aiming thats bad. Eman only lasted me 30 seconds during extraction before I ran out of ammo.

You cannot genuinely convince me that AH wants us to have part of our group running around on the edges of the map when they are so focused on making us work together and rely on one another. They removed the mission in order to fix it so we don't have to rely on abusing breach/bot drop mechanics just to have a chance at completing it. On another note, most of the time I ran into a " this is the strat" ape they would always forget the most important part of the strat which is to actually get breaches to spawn on you while you're out running around. Most people never would because they found it easier to collect stuff when nothing was chasing them. All I would do would leave us to deal with even more enemies. If you genuinely think that such a terribly designed mission was only good because it was good at farming That's a pretty piss poor take. Imagine malding because they're trying to make a mission more fun just because you can't farm samples so you can sit on max for 3 months.

1) if the mission was a “sit in the city running around clicking buttons” POI’s wouldn’t spawn
2) look at the other defense mission. a tiny map with NO SAMPLES. thats a fucking “sit in one place” mission. if the vip one was also that why didn’t they make it like that
3) the patrols spawn on the players in timed sequences. no other mission does this. if they wanted everyone to stay in the city, they would have the patrols spawn in the fucking city

I also found that smog spewer has lotsa samples (most of the time). So best not to ignore it after destroying the damn thing, chances are they'll be plenty of commons and rares.
Regarding the Sample Counter, there was a bug for the longest time that no matter what option you selected it wouldn't show. Now from personal experience the recent update seems to have fixed that bug at long last, not that I need any more samples.

I wish that completing missions gave you samples. Most missions unless you have a good team you left with 1/3 of the samples on the map

What's really dumb is that I can almost guaranteed those two other players do not have maxed ship modules. I only maxed out at around 68 and I was almost always looking for samples.
What's really fucking dumb is I maxed out around 55. Means you're vastly over-estimating yourself, since I'm barely an average player.

Hi, I really like to play with the recoilless rifle. I like it mainly due to the fact that I get all of my rockets back when I used it. Current patch makes me want to uninstall the game, you wonder why? The ship upgrade that I worked hours for just doesnt give me my rockets back. Here's whats going to happen based on AH's history:
"Well, main man, what the hell is wrong with it? The devs will surely fix this soon!" Ok I'll wait for the next patch patiently :)

"Well the devs are busy, so they won't fix THAT bug, they chose the fixes that make it easier for everyone else." Alright, as long as it's listed in known issues...
Real talk. I think we can agree this is embarrassing. It should be REALLY EASY TO FIX THIS. Who at arrowhead forgot to test the resupply before the LAST PATCH?
The only thing I want is an explanation and an apology cause we deserve it after the same bug reoccurring MULTIPLE times.
Already commented but I decided to make my reply its own comment, the context is maxed out samples.
This might be kinda scuffed but what if you could trade samples for super credits? You could make the exchange rate very large since you can buy them with money such as:
50 commons for 10SC
25 rares for 10SC
10 super for 10SC
I kept it at a 10% rule and in units of 10 for neatness. It's not game-breaking either, netting you 300SC for your entire maxed-out supply. It would give players something else to do with the currency and it's only powerful enough to buy you one of the daily armor sets once every few weeks or so.
That was so frustrating to watch my god... in that situation I'd have maybe typed something like "I have like 30 samples, give me 2 mins" or just use mic which us more likely to get people to listen in my experience. If not 🤷♂️ what can you do... This is why I see level 80s without all the upgrades.
I kinda wish there was a way to extract samples mid mission or something like a fulton recovery system from metal gear solid.

Guys. Real talk. If you want to use cluster, use cluster. It's good. But learn the pattern and don't throw it near others or in other's path. Others might not notice it outright and when they do, they might not know where you threw it from and where the clusters will land. Don't be that guy.
Also taking them to Eradication missions (especially bug ones) is either purposeful team killing strategy or you won't be able to throw it most of the time
Your teammates are disappointments they left so many optionals and bug nests those players sucked
If you communicate to me that you want to 100% the map (or collect samples or whatever) then fine. But otherwise I also do not see a reason to waste extra time on the mission :D
I personally find it fun trying to extract from Blitz as fast as possible.
Maybe the solution is telling the squad you’re going for samples and you have a fat stack on you.. come on bro.. they for sure dented for leaving but they also didnt know what you were up to. I bet they would’ve waited if they knew the assignment.
What they should do is add the Humblebee UAV drone from the first game.
I understand the frustration with randoms not waiting for the smaples but also you kinds knew they wouldnt when you had so many already i think thats 50/50 on you too, and there are tottally casuals who just want to play and not artificially be waiting when you can go. So i dont think you or others can be mad at that if you want to not have that happen then you gitta have a private party of friends or squad up thru discord or something
that's why you should create lobby, and in this case you just kick and block those smooth brained individuals. Than again showing stupid ppl is always a good content

and as guy who has max on everything in terms of sample's i will say i collect them for sake of collecting them and i think it is great sub objective to collect even if you max as in max max
but yeah that is only me all i can say and also i do collect them on any mission even if it is only common sample doing some missions ( i forgot name ) but not max sample's but i do collect

and also i think they should some what rethink sample max capacity and how system work per say because it is so nonexisted economy of those sample's but either way it is how game is pity much all i can say

Yeah i usually run off from the group solo on these tyoes of mission to grab samples, medals and credits while i can. Most of the time they'll call in an extract with no communication but idc, i generally make it to the peli just as theyre all running aboard, sometimes a bit earlier if i see them dying a lot
I just found out a few days ago that it was possible to display UI elements all the time, like chat, objectives and samples.
I believe that it should always be displayed by default and that one should change that manually.
one more module and i can fuck the samples goodbye, to be honest if they keep increasing the cost of each module with each level maybe we should have a mission modifiers which make the mission harder but double or triple the amount of samples we get once we extract or smth.
Doing Blitz missions for samples is risky, because a lot of players farm haz 9 Blitz for quick xp and medals
