Man of my Dreams by Lindsay is AMAZING as well!!! The first one I ever read by her!!! Loved it!!! She’s my fav historical romance author of you can’t tell all ready!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 also , not the JcPenny catalogue comment, I spit my coffee out everywhere!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ve never read anything by Danielle Steel before, went to a yard sale like 3 weeks ago and the woman said her daughter gave her a whole box of Steele to sell, I bought all of them for $1!!! Read only 1 though. It’s called Remembrance. I LOVED IT!!! Sad as hell, you will cry, cry, and cry some more, but the story is so CAPTIVATING it will have you flipping the pages like crazy! Soooo good!!!! 6 AMAZING STARS!!!!
Can't believe you passed up two of Kathleen E Woodiwiss! Also I don't have your restraint, I'd snatch all those pretty stepbacks up and all those Johanna Lindsey! ❤️
I'm not sure if it's restraint or stupidity, LOL! You're maybe the first person to mention Kathleen E. Woodwiss to me! My mom used to read her, but other than that, I haven't heard anything. Is there a book (or series) of hers that you'd recommend? Thanks! 😀
@@mamaneedstoreadromance Hmmm, where to start? I think Shanna is the best starting point for her. I also liked A Rose in Winter but I think that's a series? I don't really remember sorry. I also can recommend Jude Deverox and Judith McNaught. Fern Michaels is a hit or miss for me and Sophie Jordan is new to me but I have read one book and liked it (don't recall the title sorry).
All of those stepbacks were lovely! After watching your unboxing and went and ordered Tempt me at Twilight, Married by Morning, and Love in the Afternoon from Better world books and they all had the stepbacks!
😍 Teeny kilt 💀🤣 I’m obsessed with this video. It makes me so happy. Makes me want to go hunt for historical romances with fun step backs! I felt like I was shopping with you and it was such a fun time, and you had me cackling!!
The best kind of kilt is a teeny kilt. 😆. Thanks so much! By the way, random, but I'm still thinking about the Titanic poster you have in your closet (which I saw on you IG feed)! I had to keep my Vampire Diaries calendars in my closet because my husband didn't want to see them. LOL!!!
@@mamaneedstoreadromance Ha!! I love that 😂 I have a whole book of Titanic movie posters I found at a library book sale or one of the other places I find dirt cheap books. It was. $1!! I feel sort of guilty ripping out that poster but what good are posters stuck in a book. I gave them a home!! 😂 I want to frame it. Jack Dawson was my first love when I was just a toddler (fun story, I’ll have to share with you sometime lol).
You were a toddler. That’s precious. I turned 17 the week that movie came out in the theaters…the same age as Rose in the movie. I was OBSESSED with it. Saw it in theaters 6 times. Owned ALL of the things. Stayed up until 3 AM with my sister on weekends to download grainy 20 second clips of Jack and Rose dancing, using dial up internet, and it took forever, but it was well worth it. 😍
What a fantastic book haul. First video I really enjoyed. I wanted to shop with you as well. The setbacks were so pretty. Everything Johanna Lindsey is my weakness, as well as Shiralee Busbee. ❤️❤️❤️
For me I found the holy grail of books. I going to show my daughter your video she likes Joanna Lindsay. For your information Joanna Lindsay pass away in October 2019. 😢😢😢
Oh WOW, such steals! Yay for Judith Mcnaught, that one is great! Also, I spotted some Susan Elizabeth Phillips, who, fun fact, is the creator of the sports romance genre 😮. Her books are great, although some of her older stuff reads quite dated. Still, they are my comfort reads and my gateway to romance❤. The banter in her contemporary romance reminds me of Tessa Dare’s dialogue, the humour has similar vibes 😁.
I'm excited about that Judith McNaught! That's so cool about Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I love learning things like that. I'll have to check her out. I love some good banter, and of course, Tessa Dare. Thanks so much for your comment! 😍
You got some good ones. Of those you didn't pick up, I would suggest: Almost any Judith McNaught. I wouldn't over look her because she doesn't have a step back. Some of the best authors don't have them. Linda Howard's Dream Man and Drop Dead Gorgeous (contemporary, suspense) Mary Jo Putney's One Perfect Rose. (You were picking up almost all of her books, but you missed this one and it's one of my favorites. Historical about a traveling theatrical troop.) Nora Roberts' Born in Fire (contemporary, first of her well-loved Born In series) Susan Elizabeth Phillips' Hot Shot and This Heart of Mine (contemporaries) Kristan Higgins' In Your Dreams (contemporary) - fun author, good series. LaVyrle Spencer's books - very heartfelt, sweet author Sophie Kinsella's I've Got Your Number (in hardback). Very funny author, contemporary, chick lit.
I have Kat Martin on my shelf and her stepbacks are beautiful, I still need to read her books. I also have a bunch of Johanna Lindsey, also Linda Ladd. I love all of the beautiful stepbacks 😍
I’m reading Dark Rider by Iris Johansen right now, I’m only about 70 pages in, but I can not put it down! Our heroin falls in love with the enemy of her father!!!! The plot thickens!!! Written beautifully too!!! And it’s the first historical romance I’ve ever read that takes place in Hawaii! Interesting to say the least, but my eyes are glued to it! I will let you know what I think once I finish!
Iris Johansen is another author I really enjoy. I have actually been working on collecting her works as I really enjoy her thriller/suspense books. I haven't really read her romances, though I have collected several at this point.
Sophie Jordan is fun! Once Upon a wedding Night is really enjoyable and the cover is to die for! Most of her books feel like rom coms. While the Duke was Sleeping is inspired by the movie While You were sleeping. Loved it.
Really love the format of your book shopping vids - feels like I’m shopping too 😂 anyways at 11:16 - there’s a Cat Sebastian book beside the Jenkins you got. She’s popular from what I see - I think her more popular historical romances are the LGBTQ ones :) I think she also writes MF romances too. You might want to check her books out😊
Thanks for shopping with me! 😎. I'll have to check out Cat Sebastian. From what I gather, LGBTQ historicals are few and far between. Sounds interesting!! 😀
It seems the only place to find books with setbacks is i used bookstore. Amazon doesn't sell any books with setbacks. I've read Johanna Lindsey, Julue Garwood and Jude Deveraux. They're my favorite authors.
I’m sorry I keep pausing to comment, but I just read Glorious Angel by Lindsey, LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!!! A civil war romance, it’s fabulous! Read it immediately!
That Irish Johansen cover of the Higher Prince at 2:42, the one with the guy wearing the maybe shirt, when I saw it I thought wouldn't it be funny if instead of the shirt he had been wearing the mask that he is holding in his hand? Sorry but I just had to say it, 😃. Better start asking for more bookshelves.

I did! I put it in my stack of Christmas books I want to celebrate in my Christmas book haul! 😀
