Keep in mind, that even though he doesn't look it, Utred in the first season is somewhere in the age range of 19 to early 20s so his impulsiveness makes since, also add in the fact of his Dane upbringing. His character growth over the seasons is amazing to watch 😄
NO question that Utred was wildn' out bringing Isault back home but I guess it was all just Utred's way of rejecting what has been forced upon him by Alfred, especially after all his disrespect and refusal to acknowledge Utred being the main reason why Wessex hasn't been taken by the Danes up to this point.
Sorry that I've only just found your channel, but I'm loving your Uhtred journey. Just as a point of interest, Asser was also a real historical character, so although I hated him throughout the books, I did know his story. That's the trouble, when this period of our history is of an interest, as it is with me, you know what happens! Even Uhtred himself, although fictionalised here, was of a real family who owned Bebbanburg (Bambrough), and was apparently an ancestor of the writer, Bernard Cornwell. The name Uhtred was also carried on, as there is a documented feud between his family and that of Thurbrand, another Northern earl, in the reign of Cnut in the early 1000's.
Tay, where are you shopping? I love your style and cute outfits! Congrats to your engagement, guys, btw! Stay happy and healthy. 😇Greetings from Germany.😊
I think it was in the last episode that Mildrith & Uhtred's relationship fell apart because she failed to understand why he did what he did, she failed to understand why he killed Oswald, needing justice & all, but Uhtred shouldn't have killed him though, Uhtred should have told Alfred & sought proof of Oswald being a traitor.

Iseult best girl has arrived!! ❤
And the next episode is greattttt
They didn’t marry for love, it was a marriage forced on him, so I see why it would be quick for him to move on.
