Sorry but I have to disagree with number one 😅 I was also enticed to buy bearded dragons as I have heard they are easy to take care for but boy was I in for a ride. The first bearded dragon I got (as a hatchling) was a very feisty one, loves to whip his tail and spread his poop all over the enclosure and under it's tail, and would hiss and open its mouth the moment I just put my hand inside the enclosure (to clean or just overall get his food dish to feed him) even though I've already had him for almost a year and had done regular handling sessions to make him get used to being handled but nonetheless an incredibly beautiful pet. It's important to note that not all bearded dragons are docile and just like humans, they each have their own attitudes. Yes, some morphs are cheap but you also must consider the monthly cost of food (insects + vegetables), UVA/UVB (which includes monthly electricity costs if you cannot sun bask your dragon during rainy days to save on lights) and upgrading enclosure size as your dragon grows.
Thank you for sharing your experience and opinion! ☺️ I totally understand where you're coming from. Each bearded dragon definitely has its own unique personality, some can be less tame or docile, like the one you have described, while others might be more laid-back and easygoing. It really comes down to the spesific individual, and this is true across all animals in general, not just reptiles. It's awesome to hear that you stayed persistent with your dragon despite the challenges you were facing, so fair play to you for that! 👌😎 You're absolutely right about the ongoing costs and care, this is definitely something to consider, and I did mention this in the video. Bearded dragons are the more expensive option out of the five I covered in the video. We're actually working on a video breaking down the monthly running costs for each species, so I'm excited to share that soon! 😄 I think it’s crucial for new owners to be fully prepared for both behaviour and long-term care commitments, so thanks again for leaving this comment and adding your perspective aswell as sharing your experience!! 😊
@@coopzreptiles yep! I just don't want anyone to exp the impulse buy I did and just shared what possible experiences they might have in case they pursue taking care of a bearded dragon 😁

Though in my opinion I find taking care of leopard geckos much easier than BD's (currently have both in my care as well)
@@oc9279 I think that was a great idea to share your experience with the community! I appreciate the comment 🙏 ☺️
I agree with you, leopard geckos are alot easily than Bearded dragons to look after ! 😅 they are also alot cheeper to maintain too !!
