- Squeezed in the middle of Ocean Springs, MS is a nature wonderland. With over 400 acres, there's plenty of room for camping, running, walking, animal/bird watching, picnicking etc...
Today we take a look at the park and its overall beauty.
I wish I had a camper; I would certainly go and stay awhile!
I think the park is partially closed as it suffered some damage from Hurricane Zeta. But they do have a small primitive camping area you can pitch a tent in.
WOW! I have not been here since I was 8 years old. I went here on a class field trip with my second grade class a long time ago.
That's about when I started going there. 30+ years later I'm taking my daughter. Talk about coming around full circle
@@OutdoorsWithShawn Cool!
Several of our friends have been there and all hold it in high regard. Thanks for the tour.
Its always been well kept. The piers look to be very new with that composite decking that will last a while and not splinter. The updated bathrooms were nice too see. Too many times I go into a park and have horrible bathroom facilities.
Thanks for watching!
It is SO MUCH FUN
We'll have to go again soon!
That is a nice park...looks very much handicap accessable. Electric scooter etc. Are dogs allowed on leash?
It is a very nice park.
Yes, dogs are allowed on a leash. In fact, we came across probably 3 while making this video.
I think the only place they're not able to be at is in the one building; but I'm not 100% sure.
@OutdoorsWithShawn thank you. Yes normal for no dogs in building most places. I first heard of ocean springs and a couple other places recently on you tube....it is on my dream/bucket list for sure. Thank you..first visit to your channel...subscribing
Many thanks!!
There's quite a few things to do in and around Ocean Springs for sure!!
That's one big gator and for that water machine. I've never seen that either. Interesting for sure.
At one point, there was one out there even bigger. But that was prior to Katrina. Kicked myself in the rear for not bringing my own water bottle. I wanted to try out the fountain! I will next time for sure.
Like👍👌👌
Bearst !
Eye wanna grill some brats and cheeseburgers and hotdogs there...thank fur showing it !
@@MrFullautoak47 it may get shut down, if it's not already.
I went to POW Camp yesterday afternoon and was met by a Federal Park Ranger who was telling the campers the campground was shut down. A rural, very primitive campground shut down...
So I went home & pitched my tent in my backyard.
