I don’t exactly know what exact letters romanji chooses so don’t attack me if your a romanji expert I am just making the point that Japanese is pretty tough to mess up if you actually try at all. You can know Akira is pronounced A Ki Ra rather than a more American akir ra. Where in Japanese they might just call ca ri sa to fa e ra …to: “ca ri kun”, even the classic tail of the Judo or Karate Os is theorized to be a contraction of Osumimasena, which is a greeting but if your out of breathe from training and you pass someone while jogging you just end up with O su. Ninja Gaiden Black is one of my all time favorite games. Most people weren't good enough to ever beat that game. It was the Dark Souls before Dark Souls ever existed.
The weapon variety put it on about the same difficulty as Elden Ring overall (mind you that a no-magic, no-ash summon, no bleed-build run). I beat black on hard mode back in the day but used every available weapon and upgrade immediately, but then I went back and played it again using only the single katana and the wooden paddle on normal and it was about the same overall difficulty as hard. If I had played on normal with all the weapons as I unlocked them, I'd say it's a tad easier than Elden Ring.

As a child I remember stopping to kill EVERY SINGLE ENEMY that popped up on the screen. That's why it was so difficult for me. The enemies would just respawn and I never even figured it out until I was way older. Lol. Did anyone else have that problem?
I did not have the problem but I did have the issue of killing an enemy over and overy again to try and make a diffuclt platform jump. Only to get hit by the same enemy I had killed over a dozen times (due to the games respawn system) and get knocked back into a pit. The "Knockback on hit system" is what made so many NES games so damn hard lol
The game is set to release on PC, Switch, PS4/5 and Xbox one plus the series S/X As for the Xbox trilogy you can play the games on the Series S/X through BC. If you dont have an Xbox you can play the Master Collection on any platform just keep in mind they are the Sigma verision of the games no the OG verisions.
It's certainly a cut above the average crappy little indie game. But I'm not playing a balls hard 2d game just because it's hard. Only the top tier 3d games are worth that kind of effort, so I'll have to hold off on this one until I can confirm its difficulty.
@@flexin85 Ninja Gaiden got the second most calls to the Nintendo hint line, second only to Zelda and most of the calls wanted to know the next cut scene.

I would love to see Ninja Gaiden 4, but I disagree with on you the playtime these retro games offer. I have close to 60 hours into Streets of Rage 4 and spent a ton of time playing Iron Meat this year.
@ hmm… would you take retro styled release over Ninja Gaiden 4 on unreal engine 5 with more in-depth, dynamic, fluid combat- the likes of phantom blade 0??
There were hack and slash games before souls infact souls ruined the genre every game that comes out now is some grueling time consuming sadistic bs takes so long to beat the bosses you start forgetting the story.
To be far it is a Ninja Gaiden title the franchise has bas been gory for a very long time, in fact the Sigma verisions of the games got criticized for removing the blood effects.
Gaiden is pronounced: Guy-den...like "hey guys".....In terms of your question, "who cares?" ....Its an issue of respect. You should have enough respect for a people's culture to at least attempt correct pronounciation of their terminology. There is no error in pronouncing it wrong out of ignorance, but there is error in pronouncing it wrong out of arrogant willful cultural negligence. Something for you to ponder moving forward....Peace....
Yeah . . . I gave this video a 👎 simply because you refused to pronounce it the way it's supposed to be. It's "Guy-Den" . . . "Gay-Den" is how you sound when you force curse words trying to make yourself sound cool. 😒
it is in the style of the classic NES games, with a very enhancements that we got with the 3D titles. I think they are trying to blend the two together for Ragebound, what makes you say it is not an NG game?
Because the NES titles don’t play how this one will, the gameplay loop is different and it’s not quite like the 3d games either. So it begs the question who exactly is the game for?
Meh, just another Japanese IP westernized, i saw zero innovation in the trailer, at least they didn't put a number on the title Like they did with Street Of Rage.
To be fair NG has always been a Japanesse Ip with a westernized twist, became even more so with Itagaki take on the franchise when the series switch to 3D gameplay.
I didnt really include Yaiba because to my knowledge that was a "What if" title and not canon. Though in my defense I had a clip of the game in the video and NGZ was released in 2014, so it would still be 11 years between that and Ragebound. Even including NGZ it is still a long time to wait for the franchise to return with a new entry in the series.

So, is this a vonsole game, PC? Also, where can you play the XBox trilogy nowadays?
The game is set to release on PC, Switch, PS4/5 and Xbox one plus the series S/X
As for the Xbox trilogy you can play the games on the Series S/X through BC. If you dont have an Xbox you can play the Master Collection on any platform just keep in mind they are the Sigma verision of the games no the OG verisions.
Awesome, thanks for the info! These games are the only reason why I'd buy a console nowadays
@@flexin85thanks mate!
The Blasphemous Graphics kinda throw it off 😢
I actually dont mind the pixel art the game has going for it.
I love ninja gaiden. I hope team ninja gets away from souls likes. Only Fromsoft can do their own thing properly.
IF NG4 turns out to be a Souls Like I will be very dissapointed
It's certainly a cut above the average crappy little indie game. But I'm not playing a balls hard 2d game just because it's hard. Only the top tier 3d games are worth that kind of effort, so I'll have to hold off on this one until I can confirm its difficulty.
I will always HATE that STUPID CROW!!!!
Also this new one looks awesome! And this looks like a Metroidvania
It was the small flying enemies in the old school 8bit/16bit games that always gave me ethe most trouble lol
@@flexin85 Ninja Gaiden got the second most calls to the Nintendo hint line, second only to Zelda and most of the calls wanted to know the next cut scene.
@@AaronPICAR Ah the days before the internet, when you had to beat the lvl to see the cutscene and couldnt look it up on online
If they are going to go back to their Roots they could have at least upgraded it to Prince of Persia level 🤷🏿♂️
Just different art styles I actually dont mind the way the game looks.
2d shinobi, now a 2d ninja gaiden.😄👍
Great time for Retro gaming fans!
Looks like its going to be fairly easy. We shall see
I hope not, but I would be shocked if it is as hard as the Orginal Trilogy on the NES.
@@flexin85 needs to be WAYYYY more difficult. Im crossing my fingers that the bosses will be super annoying lol I'll stream it once its out
@@xenobiigaming Yeah hopefully the game provides plenty of challenge for old school vets of the franchise lol
the color an artstyle looks more like shinobi the ninja gaiden
The 1st 2 installments on Xbox are among the best Metroidvanias in gaming history. Slept on…..
2D? Naw, ill wait for a new 3d Ninja Gaiden game.
I am actually pretty excited to be getting another 2D NG game, that said I REALLY hope we get a 3D title sooner rather then later. It would be nice to have both verisions of the franchise return.
Glad to see Ninja Gaiden returning to it's roots that made it legendary. I just hope they don't go too hardcore on the difficulty. There's a difference between challenging and cheap.
Also, pronouncing Gaiden (Guy-den) as gay-den is just gay.
Definitely guy-den.
Ill never forget my excitement when ninja gaiden released on nes. Not to mention my subsequent disappointment upon seeing it only bears a resemblance to the arcade game in name
So many of these Retro NES games never resemble their Acade Counter parts. Though I never got to play the Arcade verision of Ninja Gaiden as a kid, in fact i didnt get to play the arcade title until years later as an adult.
NES version is a billion times better than the arcade version!!!!! And yes I own and have played both and I stand by my comment one billion percent ✌️
Why you put 2026? Game comes out next year
@@stevieb274 I’m such an idiot lol I know the game is next year and I still put 2026. My apologies!
I think it’s because for the last month at work we have been doing projects based on a 2025 timeline. So when I was editing the video and thinking of “next year” 2026 popped into my head.
@ wouldn’t call you an idiot, but definitely scared me to thinking they moved the date. Soon as I saw 2026 I cut off this video, and watched the trailer to see if it said 2025, 2026 lol
@@stevieb274 Thank you for being understanding of my mistake lol, yes if the date was 2026 I would be a lil heart broken. 2025 is the year Ninja Gaiden returns and 2026 is the year Onimusha returns, I couldnt be more excited to see so many of my favorite franchises make a come back!
Release date
All we know is the game is planned to be released summer 2025
@flexin85 hopefully on or around my birthday
@@Epiccomicgamer Would be nice for all of us summer babies
Dotemu does 2 things.
Make great retro games
-Takes a hell of a long time to -release those amazing games
@@Regula_joe As long as they keep up the good work I dont mind waiting for the games they bring to the table
Gaiden is pronounced as Guy-Den, not Gay-Den.
2D is better than 3D.
Eh when it comes to Ninja gaiden I love both the 2D and the 3D, however when it comes to CastleVania so far it has been 2D>3D lol
Ninja Guy den not Gay den
Cut scenes lol
They where revoluntionary for the time, in fact its the first game I can remmeber really having them
We must feed dogs vegan or else the other 5 animals suffer
No thanks . Ninja Gaiden 4 is much welcome tho. These retros can only hold enough excitement for 2 play through, max
I miss the days we would get games like Dantes Inferno or Wolverine origins, so many great action games we had back then.
Ninjas with blue eyes? No, just no.
I hope this game is good. But the hitstop is way too overdone. Just like in blasfphous, that's not NG gameplay.
The gore is unnecessary. I pass.
This isn't ninja gaiden
it is in the style of the classic NES games, with a very enhancements that we got with the 3D titles. I think they are trying to blend the two together for Ragebound, what makes you say it is not an NG game?
@flexin85 it's not ninja gaiden
@@damin9913🤨🤨🤨
@@damin9913 okay but how so? I am not saying you are wrong just asking why you think that.
You forgot Ninja Gaiden Yaiba.
Whites saying "going hard"....
Ill never forget my excitement when ninja gaiden released on nes. Not to mention my subsequent disappointment upon seeing it only bears a resemblance to the arcade game in name
