The red Puma DKW of the video is my father's car, a Brazilian fanatic for 2-stroke engines. He rebuilt to participate in rallies not only in brazil but also in uruguay. This video was made at the Velopark race track in Nova Santa Rita.
The Marcos Mantis XP did not retire from the 1968 1000 km at Spa because of electrical problems but because of an accident. It fell off the road at the Eau Rouge bridge, which is followed by the famous Raidillon. I was a spectator of that race and I witnessed the accident.
These were the cars that inspired the 1967 animated TV show "Speed Racer" we kids born in the period enjoyed so much. I must say, the kids born in the late 1950s and early 1960s were fortunate in many aspects, because there was so much fascinating technology being introduced in so many fronts, like auto racing for example, or the space race. I was born in 1960, and I remember finding cowboy movies extremelly boring because I wanted to see astronauts, and I witnessed the introduction of amazing race cars, that blew our minds back then, like the Porsche 906 in the beginning of this clip, which kids today have no idea how radical they were in 1966 when they were introduced, or the Lotus 72 F1 car, only four years later. Now, new race cars don't blow our minds any more; the changes to the new Mercedes F1, or the new Toyota WEC seem ordinary and banal.
The Porsches remind me of the cars used for those amusement park kiddie rides back in the day. This lets me know everything we see in pop culture is generally based off a real life derivative.
Puma GT is soo cute! 3:34 Why it looks like there is 4X MG 42 mounted in rear area:):) 5:12 Wow looks very cool!!! I thing Maserati need build those models again.
Ferruccio Lamborghini was the proud owner of a Ferrari ,but he did not enjoy the gear box and other features on his car ,when he went to Enzo Ferrari to complain a bit..he was booted out..!!!!..So he decided to build his own sport car.......the rest is history.
I hate to complain BUT I am an above average reader and due to the fact that sometimes the titles are at the top and sometimes the bottom, AND 10 seconds long, over half the time I cannot finish reading these!!! That IS NOT to say I don't like the videos, I DO very much.

One or two that I didn't know about, but thanx for reminding me of the rest. The Marcos was always a secret favourite. 😎

That panhard looks like it should be in the cartoon "speed racer"
Germany and the EU have banned all combustion cars after 2030, from 2025 on there will be only very limited fuel supply, only one gas station per city
The sexiest and most powerful is still the American Corvette Manta Ray. Best sound.
Brilliant 😊
The Panhard is plain beautiful
Still no Trident Clipper/Venturer I see
That Bonnet is very similar to Alpine A110
I think the engine placement in the Bonnet is better.
Make the fonts/wording bigger and better and slow it down so we can read more about the cars, thank you and your welcome.
La marcos 1800 gt yes et l alpine bien sur
There's something to be said about the beauty of a European sports car.
Holy shit! When cars where cars🍗
If I am going to dish out thousands of dollars it better look awesome and have an engine meaning 8 cylinders and up...no sewing machines!!!
Puma GT cool

Did you see the guy go around the corner and his door came open
Funny how every other car looks like my abarth 124 GT
MANY CARS LOOK LIKE TO EACH OTHER! SOME OF THEM ARE BEAUTIFUL AND SOME ARE UGLY!
ワゴンに焦点当てるならステージアはなぜ駄目なのかな?
