  • «KAVALINSKI MODEL» Breslmair mouthpiece RECOMMENDATION from MARCO SILVA
From the very first moment I tried the «Kavalinski Model», I felt enormous comfort in the RIM.
In addition to this comfort and with the work done afterwards I can truly say that the mouthpiece allows a better definition of attacks and resonance.
One of the most significant aspects that I feel is the improvement of the tuning in all registers and all harmonic progression.
In addition to the qualities of the material manufactured by Breslmair, I feel that I can have a more efficient study session without getting tired so quickly.
The confidence of a wind player is perhaps one of the most important reasons for not making mistakes. With this model that aspect has become less, because there are some extremely difficult works requiring good material to help, but with the «Kavalinski Model», it has become more possible to do it without spending unnecessary energy.

What's your opinion on vincent bach mouthpieces? And do you think, that bach mouthpieces have thinner tone in general then breslmair?

Good mouthpieces, I played long time on it. In general you can’t tell they have thinner tone, because bought Bach & Breslmair have a very large scale of different sizes. So you can find today at Breslmair all possibilities to play on German or on Perinet trumpet.

Comfort in the RIM? Do I miss something? The Kavalinski model is a lower part, it has no rim of its own, so the question is: which rim?
And which rim will fit this underpart with this diameter?

Yes, it has! In fact you have 3 options:
      1) "Andrei Kavalinski" - these reproduce the softest sound.
      2) "Andrei Kavalinski G19-0.5" - more defined, helps a lot on the high register.
      3) "Andrei Kavalinski G19" - and also helps to keep fit, works against exhaustion.

Marco play’s the "Andrei Kavalinski G19-0.5". Breslmair sells all «Kavalinski Models» on request.

Regarding the screwed rim, as you know, all people have different faces, respectively, teeth and embouchure too. Based on this, I developed a mouthpiece with a removable rim, so that everyone could choose the most convenient option for themselves.

This is why you find on the website the backbore/cup combination

@@AndreiKavalinski Yes I know but the Breslmair system is quite complicated meaning that you have to know the Kessel- diameter but if you have the G19 rand the Kessel of the mouthpiece underpart must be a G diameter if I understood the system well.
