When the main character has a sudden, crucial realization, and is racing down a long staircase or frantically scanning a bookshelf, and flipping furiously through pages trying to find evidence of their realization or where they remember seeing a particular piece of information. Then, piecing all of the information together, either on a table, or tacked to a wall, as strings start getting connected.

Apparently a large version of the hurdy gurdy was created and it was used in churches before the invention of the organ. It quickly lost its popularity after the organ was devised, up until smaller designs came around. Apparently hurdy gurdies are more common in Russia, played by "roaming beggars" according to the about section of this channel.

Having said that, if you're of European descent, there is a sort of genetic "Folk-Soul" that stirs when you hear European Folk music and that's true of all people. Afro-Cuban pop resonates especially well with people from the Caribbean. There's nothing supremacist about it, it's just like flute-and-drum spiritual ("worship") music has an appeal to native Americans.

So true! I got a friend who produces electronical dance music and she was also blown away from it, she already used this music in one of our tracks she is working on. We are planning to make psytrancemusic with this kind of music, surely we will ask the creator before releasing anything and mention him! I guess most of you can't enjoy this fast and very electronical "goa psytrance" but we would love to combine the cultures! In Psytrance people celebrate life, nature and well,i am honest...drugs like LSD and Mushrooms :D It's a very spiritual naturebound movement from the youth, hope our " stealing" from folk music wont offend anyone! We go old- and new ways and want to combine them!

Andrey Vinogradov, you should do themes for video games as well. I would sincerely buy a video game if you were the composer of its soundtrack.

Are these songs are based on real medieval tunes, or you write them, in the style they wrote them back then?
I really enjoyed listening you playing! Subscribing right now to be sure that I'll hear more from you. Cheers from Hungary!

I learned about the Hurdy Gurdy in music theory, ever since I heard of this Hungarian 'Symphony in a box' I've always wanted one. I love hearing the music, you play wonderfully sir!! Where'd you get your Hurdy Gurdy and how'd you learn to play, I'd love to know!! 😀

I feel like I just found the lord of the dragons, and it's actually just a big ass snake who became known throughout the dragon skies for defeating everyone without wings, claws, nor fire
    They fear her fangs
    Her venom
    Her warning rattling tail
The eyes she holds are but Misty spheres of blind rage
Her cave is forever engulfed in darkness, and all light that enters is soon consumed by the mist that surrounds the wetted cave
She is the most fearsome of dragons
For she isn't one at all

the band Storm Seeker features a Hurdy Gurdy, their songs are kinda Celtic/rock if you wanna see that, cause I agree a super hard metal riff on this thing would be awesome
