Love it more when a newbie hits a big hand pay. You guys don't take it for granted unlike them other guys who hits jackpots all the time n not even going into estascy unless they hit 50k or even the 100k grand. That particular machine actually says it has to "hit by" - $5000. I haven't run across any in my neck of the woods though. 9:50

Hi Jennifer, the major just drops randomly.
The amount of the jackpot is randomly chosen immediately when it is hit and locked. The meter rolls up based on a determined amount and then triggers when the meter reaches the determined amount. One of the rare cases where the next person would have won it if she got up too early. These can take $4-$10 to move just one penny so be careful about chasing them. Congratulations Ruby!
