    I periodically had a need to view the difference between two text fields. After copying and pasting to a comparison websites a few times, I thought, "why not just do this in a FileMaker Web Viewer?"

    I hadn't messed with JavaScript much but I knew my way around HTML. I also didn't have a lot of time to fuss with it, so like we do, I used what I knew to get a result.

    This opened the door to experimenting with JavaScript in FileMaker for me. If you have not explored JavaScript yet, you might find this a potential on-ramp as well. A little exercise to break the ice.
