I periodically had a need to view the difference between two text fields. After copying and pasting to a comparison websites a few times, I thought, "why not just do this in a FileMaker Web Viewer?"
I hadn't messed with JavaScript much but I knew my way around HTML. I also didn't have a lot of time to fuss with it, so like we do, I used what I knew to get a result.
This opened the door to experimenting with JavaScript in FileMaker for me. If you have not explored JavaScript yet, you might find this a potential on-ramp as well. A little exercise to break the ice. I'd love to hear if this helped you wade into JavaScript. If you have already taken the plunge, how did you get started? ✅ Check out the JavaScript playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLLFSxz1yusVrJ9tVvbgVNiczZw5-xqxpx.html ✅ See FileMaker 19 Features video: th-cam.com/video/lwN_Tp5iOEs/w-d-xo.html
