- This Kirtan starts with the chanting of Ratri Sukta from Sri Sri Chandi (Durga Saptashati) followed by Sri Sri Anandamayee Ma's Dhayana (Meditation Mantra) and then a beautiful song dedicated to Her, composed and tuned by Ma's ardent and special devotee Sri Jyotish Chandra Roy (Bhaiji). Bhaiji was the person who gave Nirmala Sundari Devi the name of Anandamayee Ma.
This Kirtan is sung by Gitashree Chabi Bandopadhyay and other devotees of Anandamayee Ma. (Sung in the original tune set during Ma's times and as sung in Ma's Ashram till to this date).
জয় মা Today is the anniversary of my beloved guru's passing in 1982. Just bearing the pain. I miss Her so much. She left us the same day that my letter responding to Her invitation for a third trip to India arrived at Her ashram in Kankhal, outside of Haridwar. Before that, She wrote to me, "that you are thinking of returning to Ma/India is a news of joy". Tears leak out; held back for decades. She was so sweet to me. Nobody me.

I'll die happy just because I've seen her face, heard her voice... And say that you knew Her, I'm not even worth of such a thought... Your only hope is, as She used to say, to welcome God in to your heart... " and Him only "... She warned us many times, and saved me, personally, from the worse, imaginable sadness, missing the blessing of Ma. Maa took birth in this earth willingly..shevwas born siddha ie in super consciousness..she was in the body only for working out traces of little bit karma left out ..she was Maa durga incarnation in the literal sense
Karan She was nitya Siddha also She had no karmas ever. Ma herself told may times - "Be certain, this body you all see is not born to reap fruits of any past karma or suffer what you all day Prarabdha". If you wish to connect with me personally, let me know, I will send you most of the words She said about Her own identity and self. So, it's always better to trust Her words and we not thrusting any of our personal mind born ideas about Her. Jai Ma!
She was not Durga, nor Kali nor anyone ~ She was the pure manifestation of the cosmic energy & consciousness in material body form here only for the benifit and guidance of all - humans, animals, nature, unmanifest beings, sadhus, gyanis, bhakatas, lay men, stones, rivers, creepers and all. She even revealed that She never before even incarnated in a bodily form. Many Mahapurushas hailed her even as the Bhavatarini who came manifest among us whom Sri Ramakrishna worshipped.
The more you will dive deep into Her love and surrender, the more you will get revelations.
Also, she didn't took birth at Her will, She only said that She was invoked to take a bodily form by all - humans, animals, beings who are not in bodily form, beings of other realms, stones, trees, plants, rivers ..... All were waiting for Her and due to such universal invocation, She had to come to fulfill the wish and will of others. Ma always said ~ our own strong will & bhava made her reciprocate in thay way - As she used to say - "As you will play, So will this body sound".... she is Maha Bhavamayee ~ She responded and responds to the the strongest bhavas of any being. She is working as the bhava Shakti in us all, thus never identified with any personal will or Bhava. All Bhavas merge in Her, thus She is Maha Bhavamayee!
