Japanese animation : Ballroom e Youkoso , brought me here!!! I had no idea that this kind of competition is exist before I watch the animation. Makes me really want to try the dance, especially the standard. Though I never have any dancing experience yet.
I lived in NYC as a young man. The night life was incredible. After hour clubs were where the real dancing was. I left NYC ,and went in the Army. Loved Pannama and when back in the States. An instructor asked me to dance at a club. Next thing I knew. I went through Bronze, silver and ,gold. Became an instructor myself. Never went Pro/Pro comp but did Pro-Am. 35 yrs ago. Nothing like stepping out. Pure happiness!
Boy, this dancing has really changed. The men have a more visible part, not just the leads anymore. The fashion for the guys had also changed. The greasy kid's stuff in the hair is different too. I really admire the athleticism of these dancers.
I came here for the insanely beautiful woman in awesome dresses and I stayed for the talented dancing....and the insanely beautiful woman in awesome dresses.
Love watching ballroom dancing and ice dancing. My favorites here were always the Italians and liked their costumes the best too. One of my go-to movies is 'Strictly Ballroom' and I like their Paso Doble much better than any of these. They are all winners though and is wonderful to watch it all.
I think you aren't the only... :D I'm sure there are beginner dancers who wanted to dance becouse of that anime... (Well, if there aren't, then I'm the only one :D)

These pips here doubted the playlist are insane, it's an advantage for us dancers to dance with the same song as other dancers danced with, because it gives us fair and neat judgment.

Wow ig i am late to this video but i just watched an anime on dance sport called ballroom e yokoso and i was intrigued and came to check this out...super glad i did!! They were all so fabulous!
I agree though for latin dance they perhaps a little too poised. winning couple the lady was henched down with her neck strangely down word for most of her dances.
It's so exciting to see them when they dance and actually execute the dance steps. But it's so rare because everyone is posing and strutting. I miss the good ole daze when *dancing was dancing* and not just posing...
non perché sono italiana ma la coppia dell' Italia meritava decisamente un punteggio superiore. sono stati bravi, bella coreografia e pochi errori di posizione. l' unica pecca è l' abito della ballerina. anche la dama di mio figlio aveva un decolte' importante ma ci sarebbero stati abiti decisamente migliori da indossare x questa gara. purtroppo in queste gare conta molto anche la presentazione, si sa.
Very dull on the scores. No matter what any couple did, the scores were already in the fix, or so it seemed. Danish couple #4 aced the jive but the scores did not reflect it. Moldavian couple on the floor several times, once it looked like she had fallen, and they still got No 1.
The moldovian couple are the world champions, they got 1st for sure, their technique is outstanding, the girl from the 2nd place used to be the world champoin before they are, she was 3 times world champion, but she changed partner, they are all amazing, and the scores are ok, just deal with it.
the male from 13 ,n 29 and 10 are so Energetic! I love watching HOW FAST the male leads the female! notice that energetic guys gets the price!Anna fr no 13 is really energetic n stylish!
I'm grow up in Russian hood at the end of 1990 when we have civil war. Always wanna became a dancer,but my dad whanna make a boxer from me. 11 years in boxing... Now Im 35 not great boxer,but dancing is in my heart. Im surely try to teach it now. Like amateur!

There are several categories for rating: musicality, technique, rhythm, presentation, partnering and tact, if I'm not mistaking.
