Hello Chris thats a really good ideal smart how you set up and when the ground thaws it will in ground solid. Nice work im going to do the same. Have a good day.
Two things you will find a swivel on the nozzle would be better and maybe mounting the reel to the wall of the shop would be stronger, just my two cents it’s only a suggestion
Ok Duffy , I usually don't say anything, but just a few things to be careful of !! Concrete seems a bit wet, welding with open boots and welding galvanized material can be harmful !! Also cover the top of the pipe to keep moisture ok !! Just thinking, but everything worked out 😊
To help clean the shop floor just place some oil dry onto it and leave it there.as you walk over it you will grind the oil dry and it will help to clean and later on remove it.
Next time, half as much water to start, then after the initial mix, add water to taste and keep stirring. After the concrete is set, put a hole in the bucket under the pipe so it can drain.
Have you ever thought of moving the fuel tank back and putting a door on that end of the shop to able to back a truck and trailer in the length of the building?
Duff, PLEASE clean up your shop, you have all the makings of a horrific shop fire there. Oily rags can spontaniously combut when you are not there. A stray spark into a corner can smolder for a long time, dry hay , amore and bigger fire extinguishers need to be added.. Try to make keeping the shop neaat and organized. I have seen 2 youtubers lose their shops to fire. One trucking company and a car builder/rodder. It happens too many times.
Chris I used to work for a trim and deck Carpenter one fall and winter. Where the deck posts had to go into the ground he would put about a half a bag of rock salt to melt the snow and ice so he could dig a post hole to bury the post and concrete. He would let the salt sit for 2-3 days. If it didn't go as deep as he wanted, he would add more salt to the hole and repeat the process. It would suck digging a hole in freezing conditions and blowing snow but we got it done. Hope that helps for the future if you ever have to do it again.
Buy yourself an extra nozzle in case that one breaks. They don’t last long. Make sure you have an emergency shut off on your pump also if you’re going to have other people fueling up a lot. Just a safe bet than in case something happens your covered.
Cap the post. Water/snow that gets in the pipe will freeze and split the pipe open. The bucket will prevent the water from draining out.

Probably would be a good spot to mount a fire extinguisher. Your insurance guy will appreciate it!!!
Once you bury the post fill the pipe with concrete to the top and crown it. This will strengthen the pipe and keep water out.
Thats what I was thinking
A grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't.

Definitely a swivel for the nozzle ,when you fill a tank straight down you kink the hose, and that looks like an expense hose to replace
We always fill the pipe with cement to keep rain out
a festivous pole for the rest of us LOL
Love how you leave stuff on the ground just to walk over it... my god a MESS
Put a cap on top of the pipe or the rain water will fill the pipe up and it will split it when it freezes.

When you bury the pole, fill it to top with concrete, and put a cap on top.
That’s going to make life a lot easier!!

Good job ,my friend. Keep up the good work .

My wife just said "Didn't he used to blame everyone else at the old farm for the shop being a mess?" 😂😅😂
Yup!! Now he know it was him 😅
Hes also doing the work of two men. Makes cleaning up the shop a do if you have the energy task
That's a very good idea with you feel makes sense what you're talking about
You...are the unscripted version of Red Green! 😂
Another farm improvement 👍👍👍
Nice up grades 👌
Keep doing what you're doing now keep watching definitely going to have to fill that hole full of concrete when you get it buried in the ground
Put the fuel reel between the shed and the tank safer in there?
You should put a cap on your gas tank pipe or it will fill up with water freeze and split
How long until you start dismantling the grain set up to haul it home
What a great upgrade.
You can put a mud flap on top maybe to keep the sun from dry rotting the fuel hose
So much more room for fueling activities! 😂
nice upgrade
Add cement into hole when the bucket is in ground. It will be stable.
Pour concrete in side the pipe will keep water out of pipe and will be much stronger.
I would be putting reflective tape on the pole so you can see it at night so you don't hit it. But that's me.
I wish I had half of your energy
Hows the box ?
Should fill the pole with cement
You might wanna put a cap on the post
just wait till you turn 65 and then tell me how old you feel
At least with snow you dont have wild fires.
Up grades do you good great video
Way to much water
he's a farmer, not a cement expert, lol
I count 3 empty? used 5 gallon buckets in the background and you bought a new one ? " count the pennies and the dollars will come"
They give the buckets out
Never a true a word
@@DuffyAg Where?
Hello Chris!
...drew it all out in "chock"?????
Pour concrete down pipe making it even stronger
Way TOO MUCH water in the cement.
Could have just cold-welded it to the tank since everything is frozen...........
Cap that pipe so as not to collect water and freeze
Cap the tip of the pipe and drill a
Relief hole above ground

Better cap your pole

I’ve never had an automatic nozzle go bad yet and they’ve had hundreds of thousands of gallons ran through them.
Amazing welds if you cover them up with paint they look real nice.😆😅🤣😂
Grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't.😜
The shop is a mess almost every video maybe just clean it or be quiet about it
A grinder and Paint for the welder I ain't.
