The remarkable thing about Thomas Shelby isn’t so much is ability to mastermind completely flawless plans and execute them to perfection. Realistically, very few people can actually do that. If his experiences in France taught him anything, it’s that even the best laid plans very rarely work out exactly how you intended. The thing that makes Tommy such a brilliant tactician is the speed at which you can adapt and change course when things to do go wrong, all the while, staying steps ahead of his enemies.
flawless? to perfection? are you watching the same show? lol what i actually like about the show is plans are never straightforward innocent people get caught up and die in his plans. and most of all he legit almost dies himself because the plans get f*ed up
@@victor9 OP didn't express themselves right, but you're both saying the same thing. They say that making flawless plans is NOT what Tommy does, but adapt when a good plan goes to shit
@remmy That wasn't a tantrum, it was a breakdown. It was brilliantly done, and I felt every second of it. So much happened to Tommy all at once, he didn't have time to process how much his life changed over the course of about an afternoon, which began with him planning a takeover of a racetrack and ended with him on Winston Churchill's leash crawling out of his own grave. It was absolutely insane, not to mention a child and a sh*t tonne of deaths. That was not a tantrum; that was the righteous anguish of a man who was almost suffocated by the weight of his own ambition, accepted that outcome with some degree of peace, and who can no longer process the tainted oxygen again flowing through his lungs.
Tommy was more pissed that after all of his plans and schemes to win that day and survive, he was saved by someone else and he was still in someone's hands by the end of the day.
Yeah that's the reoccurring theme in the show. Everytime it's the final thing he has to do before he's done with the illegal bs that puts his life and his family's life in danger and he always gets stuck under someone bigger at the end. No matter how much money and influence you get, you're still always gonna be an outsider in British upper class society. You're what they use cuz they never get their own hands dirty.

if you look in hindsight, during Campbell's meeting with Churchill about TOmmy's letter of demands, my feelings are that moment Campbell tried to play the righteousness card and pointedly showed how clearly this was a personal matter to him and letting it interfere with the mission, Churchill set things in motion to get rid of him if Polly didn't do it herself. If not that, when he went and royally disrupted the organization of PB for no literal reason, that would just drive Churchill to decide "this reckless fuck has gotta go."

@@saadatalimithani bro what 💀 Gun jamming is something anybody who knows even a little bit about a gun knows can happen. You act like they haven't been watching shows or movies professionally for years. 💀
What probably happened to a gun is a misfire. It's when primer on a bullet is struck, but does not ignite. It's something that happens even with a modern bullets from time to time, although rarely.
At 22.08 ...that's what I was waiting for .... Reaction is Mint...it gets everybody. Brilliant stuff Guys...love it. .... I can only say...PB's get's even better and better S3. Peace from UK.
I know y'all are miles ahead on the Patreon, probably even done now, but Esme wasn't flirting with another person, that was a member of her family lmao
The gun misfired. Sometimes the primer that the firing pin strikes doesn't go off and makes the round a dud. That's why he was able to shoot off the other rounds cause they were functioning properly
Just a gentle reminder that the lead actor Cillian Murphy’s name is pronounced Kill-Lee-An, not Sill-Lee-An. No disrespect… just bringing awareness. Love the reviews.
The revolver may have just not had a bullet in that 1st chamber or it could've jammed. Older guns weren't always as reliable, but I don't think it was intentionally sabotaged. Just an unlucky occurrence that happened more often back in the day than most movies showcase

Tommy’s gun jammed that’s why it didn’t fire cause I’m pretty sure the pistols back then jammed very easily and fairly often
Also the fact that he hit the cop in the face just beforehand which must have damaged the gun or knocked the bullet out of place
