I think this is the perfect example of a Meades film. He takes something mundane like golf, and makes a good case that it is something of an insane cult. His language is incredible, like listening to a newspaper editorial.

Only, he made it clear in those years that these constructs we were taught at school of the "anglo-saxons" and "celts" and "welsh" etc etc are just lazy paradigms...reality is so much more exotic and interesting...
