Sounds like the cross bar on the adapter activated the turn and lock open function of the Red Paddle Co board valve, i.e. if you push and twist the red valve component it locks the valve open).

Hi, just wondering if you know what the correct adapter is to use for a fanatic sup? I’ve recently bought the dolphin and none of the adapters provided fit or match the connector on my fanatic hand pump hose. They look the same but the dimensions are not the same. Thanks.

Hi, looking on Fanatic’s site I can see this shop.fanatic.com/en-gb/other_spare_parts/airvalve-set-for-isup-3-0-13900--8045 which looks like a fairly standard Halkey Roberts valve. If that’s the case, something I noticed when I filmed this video was that the original (old style) Dolphin adaptor fitted my board but the Shark adaptor kit they sent me didn’t. When I looked into it I found the rubber seals on the adaptors were different thicknesses and I had to change them about to get a good fit. Sorry, I never thought to mention it in the vid because I thought it was my mistake. Hope that helps

That’s interesting. I did remove the seal to try but never swapped it with my fanatic one. I’ll give that a try and let you know. 👍

Unfortunately that didn’t work. It seems to be boiling down to the dimensions being completely different. I wonder if the shark ones would work. Quite frustrating. I’d have thought they would be able to distinguish between the different types with sizing so I’d know what I need to purchase.

I don’t recall any identification on the adaptors but I just looked on the OutdoorMaster site and it states the Dolphin suits Fanatic. There’s a compatibility guide at the bottom of the page. It would be worth getting in touch with them I’d say.
