Syngoniums are severely underrated! They are so gorgeous and easy to grow! Lots of fun varieties also. Thanks for the tips! Loved this video and your beautiful exotic garden! 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿
Thank you for being transparent about not really using fertilizer and somewhat neglecting your plants- I feel like a HORRIBLE mother because of typically not using fertilizer or getting busy with life and neglecting my plants, but you’re proof that it’s okay and your plants can still thrive! 💖
I really love syngoniums, because just like you I could only spend time and care for my plants every Sunday since I am a teacher and I attend graduate school during Saturdays. During hectic periods most of my plants almost died, like calatheas and other aglaonemas but syngoniums and pothos are still there with me even they are neglected for a week. Thank you for this content. More of these! Kudos!
Went through something similar--I had surgery and so it was difficult for me to do plant care. A lot of my plants ended up dying, and my beautiful syngonium was really like on life support for awhile, too. It maybe had one good leaf left, while the others had wilted off. I decided to keep the plant and keep watering it, and now there are tons of beautiful, pink new leaves popping up everywhere! 😊
😍 What a fantastic collection! I'm a syngonium lover and of course I collect them, but you have many I have never seen here in Hungary (Europe). They are always so beautiful, even in winter when they have to be inside, and there is not much light. Many other tropical plants struggle during that time, but syngoniums are tough and forgiving plants. Thanks for the informative video!
Do you mind telling me which varieties you own? I recently began collecting and had no idea there were SOOO many! I have: White Butterfly, Neon Illusion, Berry Illusion, Goglo, Confetti, Pixie, and Maria. 😊😊
@@LyssIsTheMovement I've had one for decades, but I don't even know its name, let's say, the "regular one" 😄 And during the last 5 years I have bought the following types: angustatum (the narrow one), neon robusta; maria, golden and mango allusion, pixie, white butterfly, wendlandii and Hungarian white, which looks like a holly but with less elongated leaves. Milk confetti is on its way from the shop right now 😁. My favourites are the pixie (so cute) and the wendlandii with its velvety leaves. And there's one I'm looking for, but can't find anywhere: the emerald gem - it's beautiful dark green without variegation. 🥰
I only use fertilizer if its really needed like last year my hydrangea didn't bloom so this year i did use it and it already has many flower buds on it 😊 otherwise I don't either. Your plants are beautiful so its not needed. 💚💚💚
Hi. Greetings from Florida. Syngonium podophyllum is invasive here also. I have a large collection of syngoniums and feel relaxed and peaceful when I look at them.
Hi.thanks for checking out my channel. Yes syngos may become invasive thats why im shocked that some people find growing them difficult. Maybe my location being in the tropics mean growing them is a walk in the park.
@@PinoyPlantito . There is a bacteria called xanthomonas that attacks them and causes the leaves to look watersoaked when they aren't grown right. It causes leaf edges to die and its common here in Florida. Some varieties are resistant and some varieties are highly susceptible. In caladiums some varieties carry it but never show symptoms.
It's my first time to watch your video. I learned a lot in taking care of my singonium neon, my first singonium plant. Your video answered why despite of hot temperature that we are experiencing these days, this plant is still thriving as compared to my other plants which leaves become yellow or brownish. I just placed my plants inside our house because I don't have space outside our house for my garden. Hope to see you in your videos featuring calladium plants. Thank you & God bless.😊
Terrific video once again. Good design look with your t-shirt receding like your fence background. Wow you have an amazingly beautiful and exceedingly varied collection I would not have known, some of yours look like small aroids and arrow philodendrons! My favourite here, in Oz is “Batik” against my deep chocolate fence and a pink one like yours with peach new leaves . I cannot believe how they hang on. Super easy. I laughed out loud with your over fertilising calathea (ugh poor you, you had to pick a diva) . I have a closed loop fertilising setup. Worm castings turning my family’s and others waste into plant food. In Situ, so worm farms here there and everywhere in my garden that needs some TLC. Thank you for reminding your viewers that they are weedy and invasive if dumped.
These are stunning. I've never seen quiet a few of the ones you show here. Now I want all the ones with pink and the camouflage looking ones. I quickly subscribed to your channel as soon as this video started and set notifications for new videos. Your work and your plants are all amazing. Thank you for sharing.

Mr Neil, I first heard the use of acacia leaves in gardening from one vlogger, and now from you. What's so special with acacia leaves. I will try to get some in our parish church. What makes it different from other ordinary leaves and bark?
I like to use rich organic soil with blood meal and earthworm castings, and water with fish emulsion , superthrive, or seaweed fertilizer . The philodendrons, bird of paradise , pothos, alocasia, and others respond very well to this food.
Hello Neil i only have one syn, i hang it near the window parang naging pale ang leaves i think i need to put it away from bright light, thank you for your video, i want to buy the pinkish one maganda di ba? Anyway iho, salamat, may God bless you Neil, future lawyer!

I subscribe to Leafing Around, she made a rainforest garden which I'd like to copy. In one Gerry's Grill resto, they have a lush vertical garden, with flowing water, using philodendron tempatation
You didn't mention how old na yang syngoniums, you said they're neglected. How long it will take for our syngoniums to be as lush and healthy as that, Kung Hindi gaano na-aalagaan.
Number 1 plant for always syngonium... I really love all your plant plant but your garden so scary... I'm scared of snake... Your garden so full of plant I can't see space 😂😂😂

indeed... fertilizers shud be used with caution and only when plants are lacking in some nutrients.

So am i sir, i started with syngoniums
All the best!!!
do you have the Maria type ?
What do you use on insects? Neem oil, viniger and detergent( soap?)
Water 1x o 2x lang pag summer? Di ba sila water loving plants?
Syngoniums are epiphytes, right? Which means coco chunks are best to use for their potting medium, got that tip from a Singaporean vlogger
I've killed several syngoniums by letting them dry out too much or watering too soon. I'm learning to love them without killing them.

Question-Do Syngoniums belong to the Caladium family?
No syngoniums are a different genus but both syngos and caladiums belong to the aroid family
