2015 was more musical, arrangements were done well. Brighter sound. 2023 had a darker sound, heavy percussion. More aggressive I would say. Always loved TNSU even from the late 70s early 80s.
Does TnSU have the same arrangers in those years? They actually sound like the same band and program, which is excellent to be able to sustain that consistency over 8 years or more. What I'm hearing different is most likely the quality of the recording which is far better these days. The 2023 band executed their arrangements a little better.
You gotta do a 10 year comparison of 2012 to 2022. 2015 was better IMO. The 2024 band is good but they have a more darker sound. The band arrangements are eh but i do want them to be more aggressive
I feel the new 2023 band sound thin and terrible compared to the 2015 band. The 2015 band I thought was the new future of the AOB. Now, this new Era play soft and scared. I like the aggressive band better, especially the 2017 AOB! OMG.. Hopefully, they can get back to being more aggressive vs being so.. soft 🤦🏽♂️

2015, light and crisp. 2023, dark and heavy. Tuba guy here, 2023 tubas had potential, but they were off the entire season imo.

This one was Easy , The Tnsu NOW is on Point. I was gone say the audio is better but that band is just 🔥🔥🔥 and Crispy
I wish TNSU was in the SWAC or MEAC. I feel like they get overlooked because they don’t get to see a lot of bands

Prefer 2015 but both missing that RAT element 😎. 15 may have been more aggressive too after dropping dead weight from that 290 the prior year.
