This effect actually gets removed when equpping the Sundered Legacy offhand. It is still worth using that offhand as it greatly increased the uptime (10 seconds downtime otherwise) and gives a burning continual damage effect which helps proc pain clasp and increased bonus from banquet. You will still have a very high attack speed using either variation of the build especially because of the Mainhand essence choices but it is something worth noting! If you have trouble surviving then Roar of Persuasion offhand essence is also a great substitution for Sundered Legacy. It's my essence of choice for Trial of the Hordes/Oblivion Pillars as it gives you life drain effect!
Roar of Persuasion is also great for Gauntlet raids. As you'll be topping the many mini damages you'll be getting somehow, excluding the need to move out of the bosses, for example, for 'refreshment' on HP (Health pools, Health potion use, etc, only using these when 'rarely' needed).

It always infuriates me that you need to wait for the event to expire to get the chest for top 100 ranking! I also usually end up pushing to gold just to get the immediate reward. I wish there were more ways to target farm specific essence you miss. Doesn't help that one of the only other options for this is loyalty essence bonus Which has it's own weekly cap 😤
Pick roiling consequence instead of bile, will boost heavy. Pick 4pc baron instead of 4pc Banq, will boost heavy too. Nice vid :) barb owns diablo immortal!

In the future I hope to find at least a 4/5 and rank it so I can try out baron's and other sets. For now though with only a modest crit chance banquet still seems good for me
Not directly, every loss of controll (so slow as well from chest) will trigger a 20% additional damage to the affected enemy. So everyone ^^. Plus ur dots, slows etc have a 30% longer duration. Especially good in pvp when you have low potency.
I would LOVE to see a video on a good PVP barb build that would be easy to play on your phone (for lower res/cr ~38,000) - that allowed a simple set of attack instructions that you could kinda' do blindly... My framerate drops quite a bit during action and Idk when to press buttons and I have only seconds. I usually just end up jumping on the enemy then whirlwinding until I die. How important is demoralize in pvp?
I havent tested this kind of build yet, and im not quite as high in reso, sitting at 2.2k. But you should defo aim for a Gloom cask at rank 5. Not only is the dmg nice, but u also get 12% dmg increase to ur primary, and this buff is ofc extended by vithus. I have the buff for roughly 12 seconds, and it procs every 20. I think 4p banquet, and 4p barons would be an insane combo, but angmets could also be a grt option. Overall, I think barb is in a VERY good spot atm. Great video as always, and stay barb 😉😈
Small tip Mao. For single target instead of sundered legacy try bergbreaker essence. You will get 10-20m more damage per minute also burst damage is much higher. Not while ago this essence was buffed.
Oh really? I didnt test this essence yet. If it works as the description says and the damage is based on retaliating after being hit surely the damage would be less on the dummy though since it cannot hit you? 🤔 I need to try it out in dungeons/raids and see I guess?
I second this. Bergbreaker can be triggered with fallow farm main hand or the shoulder piece that adds damage to primary at cost of life. It triggers every half second...you're welcome
Currently this is what I try to follow for all my items for PvE: Primary attack damage Beneficial effect duration Attack speed Damage to enemies suffering from Loss of control Demon damage (most mobs are demons anyway and this helps to complete vengance family bonus) Since we have 2 loadouts to switch between now the only change I made for the PvP loadout is demon damage to increase damage to players Some of this may change in the future as we get more gear ranks which would likely allow us to have 2 different family bonuses active per piece of gear
Think you mean gloom cask? Its a legendary gem that acivates its effect when you press primary attack. One of the best gems for any primary attack focused build
Thing is that I don't like 4p bonus of banquet. I have my character build in the way that I prioritized CR on my gear + got 8% from pet + mother's lament and roiling so when those gems triggered I am stting at 100% crit anyways. This would allow me to use like 2p shalba for additional 15% primary dmg. Have you tested outlask helmet in the lacerate build? Also - I've been hearing that Sunder is bugged and it really doesnt work at all, that debuff is not applied or they hcanged how it stacks with armor reduction buffs.
In my case I'm at 26% base crit (no crit from pets) and I'm using r10 mother's but only r1 (aux) roiling so banquet still performed the best out of any set and helped me get close to the crit cap. If you have a high rank for both mother's and roiling then banquet (at least the 4pc bonus) is probably not required. In that case shalbas 2pc like you mentioned or maybe even angment or baron's 4pc could be considered. Like you correctly figured It's always worth to take any build guide with a grain of salt and optimise/tweak it around the leg gems that you can get your hands on 😅 I did test outlask for lacerate but it performed worse for me. If your go for vithu 4pc then it would be better to use outlask but again this was worse in my case when tested As for Sunder it seemed to work fine for me. I tried switching it out for cleave and few other setups without it and they all gave much less damage. Granted it is a bit clunky to use so for ow farming or running dailies I don't include it
Great build, thanks mao, i was testing it, but when i check the attact speed in the stats i'm not getting even the 28%, can you see it? on base i have 5% and after sprint it only goes to 13%, don't get it. i undestand that we cant see the lacerate speed but the sprint?

I am copying exactly what you have with a much higher resonance, but couldn’t surpass your damage, the best I could do is 5.5M. I checked essence, sets, paragon, cursed property, my legendary gems are equal or higher to your rank. Rotation is the same. There’s no reason my damage is lower with double the resonance. What am I missing here? It’s baffling…..
2 things I can think of which I forgot to mention here: 1. Base crit chance. Mine is 26%. Go for 4% crit rolls on mainhands, offhands, shoulders and helmet. 2. Make sure you are using a broodtalon or skitterwright with at least the rare version of the lingering wounds skill as the companion pet. I am using one with 31% damage increase. Hey, there is another comment thread in this video where I gave a few suggestions that I might have missed mentioning to another player who had the same problem. Suggest you look at that thread! There might be something useful there. Things like crit hit chance magic property, having the correct familiar (and making sure it is attacking the dummy) as well as having the correct starting position before starting to attack on the dummy can make a massive difference in your DPS output when running tests
Btw if you running with party your allies Will benefit much more from sprint buff, 100% uptime Vitus buff + 50% movement speed and now The helm adds Even More. Not worth to use 19% dmg pants if playing with party.
True. It also depends what classes your friends playing with. If they are all crusaders with horse then they should have no problem with movement speed. Here I also wanted to show the top solo DPS which is why I used those pants. If you have friends with much higher resonance and you want to have them be the main damage dealers then you can certainly tweak this build a lot and provide them with even more group buffs
Chained spear so good for pve and pvp too. I love it my Barb. Anyway wrath of the berserker is continous damage? Im using Mothers and Power of command, but maybe Pain clasp better then Power of command?
Yes! For this setup Pain Clasp should be better. And in general it it one of the best if not the best 2* gem in the game currently so I wouldnt regret getting it especially if you are a f2p/low spender player
I used similar build long time ago but the helm what makes projectile attack prock firestorm whit the 2x frenzy weps and vithu 2x 4x grace and 2x banq whit thoses my burst was about 5 million
Great! Sounds like the exact build I showed at 15:50 then! The only difference I did was drop the vithu 2pc. I can still maintain high uptime of skills without it because of the recent awakening changes and having high beneficial effect rolls and reforges. I'm sure if those existed before you would have probably thought of the exact same build 😊
@@ferdikarsak7148 both setups great for damage only small difference between both. For burst damage (5s rotation) go for lacerate. This gave me higher peak damage. For more sustained damage go for frenzy. For a 1minute test on dummy frenzy gave me 250m damage Vs 235m when I used lacerate. Best to try both and see which is better for the gem setup you have. They are virtually the same setup in terms of playstyle just different helmet and weapon essence
U mentioned at 5:30 50% att speed from WotB, but once u use sundered essence wotb no longer increases attack speed. I think vithus 4 piece will still increase your overall dmg output as your att speed is still not maxed. Edit: woops jz saw ur own pinned comment. Pls do try with 4 piece vithus as comparison replacing the grace~
Yes my mistake 😓 I still think the attack speed is very high due to the frenzy/lacerate mainhand essence which I didn't include in the calculation. Originally I was using 4vithus as almost every build guide recommended that. It gave me 1.2-1.5m less damage on a 10s burst compared to grace. Everyone will have a different base attk speed so it is still worth testing to see what works best in your case
@@Mao_DI about that, I use 4 pcs banquet and 2 shalbas and 2 virtue/ most of my gem isn't awaken but hey I was able to do decent dmg on gauntlet, but the I don't have much skill cool down and duration but I highly recommend to awaken the sprint rather than the chains, but still I did that because my awaken slot only was main hand im having so much trouble for getting those leg gem
If you use squirmskull you want 4 issatar 2 banquet 2 vithus. Much stronger than the dumb grace set and replace sundered legacy with bergbreaker and rending bite with borrowed might and dump sunder for cleave.
It's been a while since I played Wizard.. Even though it has a really hard time in the current PvP meta it's still one of my favourite classes. I wonder if there's any cool combos with the new essence!

WOTB will NOT give you the attack speed anymore after changing it with sundered legacy. You can't have both that would be way too op and you would be way above the cap from 50% WOTB + 30% squirmskull + 35% lacerate + 20% base = 135%. Thats just nonsense.

Lashed isn't as good cause a buddy of mine said that lashed probably was better since the very low cd on 9 seconds. What is your opinion on that?
Yes, lashed is very strong in normal play circumstances. For a 10s damage rotation on dummy destested felt a bit stronger for me

Why the sundered skill, on training dummy this gives me very little dmg. Most is primary and chains
Sunder give 30% extra damage to everything if you pause at 1:50 you can see the full description of the skill

Without proper beneficial rolls. I would still recommend people to stick with vithus as the 2pc bonus will keep the build smooth to play

Use Outlask Helmet and you will deal even more damage. The firestorm DPS is very high.
Definitely one of the strongest essence! I used it on the frenzy variation which I showed at 15:50 and this did more damage over 10s

It's been a while since I played Wizard.. Even though it has a really hard time in the current PvP meta it's still one of my favourite classes. I wonder if there's any cool combos with the new essence!
I think 4x pc banq and 4x pc baron works better and more accumulated damage

Yeah, that offhand works very well in this build! You could always use it instead of Sunder Legacy
@@Mao_DI You think it's a valid replacement? Unfortunately I've been unlucky and have not yet received, he off hand which does more dmg when your target has a bleed. But I'll get it soon enough. Cause I'm on like 330-340 out of 400. So hopefully this week. I did like 22mill in 30sec. Its so trash compared to yours. But my stats are garbage, so it makes sense. lmao

WOTB will NOT give you the attack speed anymore after changing it with sundered legacy. You can't have both that would be way too op and you would be way above the cap from 50% WOTB + 30% squirmskull + 35% lacerate + 20% base = 135%. Thats just nonsense.
