We purchased one male 4 years ago and then a female 2 years later. SBT's have wonderful personalities, a great sense of humor, and live to please their owners. They play very well with our Yorkies and grandchildren but NOT great guard dogs...........too friendly.
Staffys are NOT meant to be guard dogs ..... they ARE Protective of both owner & family. I own a 3yr old Brindle Female, 40lbs solid as granite, lovable, Courageous, friendly, Ioyal & Protective. Dog (GOD spelled backwards) ❤😇
Damn the amount of people who used treats to get their dog to do what they asked. My dog is so happy to have the attention she will do anything without treats haha
If U train n teach Ur dog U should NOT have to yank and pull them or use treats n tease them with them and not even let them eat them..it's mean.. all U need to give is love

K4NZY aww man. I have 3 staffie rescues. All girls. I had never heard of the breed before. You have no idea how awesome these dogs are around the house. They're very protective of the weakest person in the family (me). They're also highly intelligent. I've had labs, shitzus and border collies; these are the best I've ever had.
My Staffy is the finest dog I've ever owned. May she live forever.

Its a good looking dog but the neck to head size made it look like it has pug in its bloodline
