Fix it. Old alarms are cool. They can still work very well. It's much better than some wireless bullshit (simplisafe included, it's junk), or some crap from Comcast Xfinity, AT&T, or other Internet service.
My Parents Bought This House Last Year So There’s No Telling How Long This System Has Been Powered Off. The Previous Owner’s Bought The House In 2009 And Most Likely Ended Up Shutting Power Just Before March Of Last Year. I’ll Probably End Up Keeping The Panel.
@@northwestindianaeas2450 doesn't matter how long it didn't have power. I've reactivated a few old alarm systems, just as hobby projects. Wiring is simple is most likely intact. Also, believe it or not, these older alarms are compatible with newer accessories. You could put a cellular radio on it, for example.
