Cyrus … Every podcast of yours takes me down to the memory lane of late 90’s , I still can’t get over your MTV talk shows . I vividly remember one of the episodes with Rahul Bose & how much fun we had back in the days watching all of that . Your Subtle humour with Kunal , Suresh , Cyrus Sahu , Maria , Nikhil Chinappa & none other than the Legend Jose . We used to often see u around SOBO lanes evening times with your little dog for a stroll . Keep it up bro it’s always fun watching your talk shows .. you manage to keep us in our college till date . Thank you & keep rocking .
35:40 Café Mondegar at Colaba is such an iconic restaurant, open since years now and still great quality food, awesome ambiance, love their jukebox…also run by an Irani family.
Its a phenomenon of history …Like the jewish people, parsis were persecuted in persia(erstwhile iran)and there was a mass exodus of parsis from iran..And the majority either went to gujarat (bharuch navsari and such places )and a big part also stays in Bombay (There are good amount in bangalore too) Some parts of pakistan also has Parsis if i am not wrong karachi has a good amount of successful rich influential parsis..British east india company gave parsis an opportunity to work and parsis being a small minority who is extremely smart hard working and dont spread their religion too much and is a close knit community helped them build good relations with east india company and they obviously made EIC richer and richer and so its mostly a direct relation to their exodus Its also a factor that they dont spread their religion similar to jewish people and so they as a community are very mindful of it so there is no brainwashing and stuff and they are just focused on building businesses or becoming the best lawyers All in all you can compare them to The jews of europe and USA There are poor parsis also but that number is not very high..parsi population in general is very very small Fun fact: Freddie mercury of the Queen was a Parsi and studied in panchgani
@@Aditya19012 couldn't have more terrible narration of Parsi history 😅 Please don't compare something you have no possibly remote idea about. Read history first.
One point i dont get ......everyone is half catholic half parsi, half muslim half parsi...but when it comes to a hindu why do u dilute it by saying only the states name...you could have said half maharashtrian hindu and half parsi.. So in a nutshell.....you are diliting ones hindu identity and on the other hand you are showing that a parso or a catholic or a muslim are just there because of theor religious identity and their state or land doesnt give any input to their identity
If you ate dosa daily and you had biryani once a year you would remeber it more . Its the same isnt it ? Its just a reference to a trait and a laugh about the diversity in india noone said what you are implying except you.

What is the secret of success of these Parsees? Are there poor Parsees too?

Some parts of pakistan also has Parsis if i am not wrong karachi has a good amount of successful rich influential parsis..British east india company gave parsis an opportunity to work and parsis being a small minority who is extremely smart hard working and dont spread their religion too much and is a close knit community helped them build good relations with east india company and they obviously made EIC richer and richer and so its mostly a direct relation to their exodus
Its also a factor that they dont spread their religion similar to jewish people and so they as a community are very mindful of it so there is no brainwashing and stuff and they are just focused on building businesses or becoming the best lawyers
All in all you can compare them to The jews of europe and USA
