Like suggested before, you have a huge amount of cash in stock because of the full shelf units. If you used smaller groupings you can increase licenses and will get higher piece count sales due to more offerings. That way being fully stocked requires less cash, leading to more available for upgrading. You are going to lose your mind over how many coolers you will need when you unlock 5 sodas at one time.... unless you only have 2 facings L/R on each shelf. And that is why on your comment on stocking the yoghurt makes sense, you have 80+ pieces on the floor, no need to restock unless a single shelf gets under 50% product count... but you have 4 shelves...so all 4 need to go to 50% until restocking. But if you had 2 shelves of yogurt, it would restock faster. Sell off and keep moving product up until you have 2 empty bottom shelves, then consolidate coffee on 1 rack, tea on 1 rack, etc. You've probably got $30,000 in stock not moving because you want all shelves full.
I keep telling him the same exact thing, but for some reason he doesn't want to stop filling whole shelves with same product? I am making far more money doubling up shelves with just 2 shelfs each for products that have 12 or more items each per shelf, than when I filled up all 5 with the same type product. All his money is being tied up in product and that's why he can't get great profits.
Hi Grill, I understand your reasoning behind 'how do I get more money' what you started the vid with. But having 5 shelves of everything, then a filled stockroom, that must be worth ALOT I think... Why not have 2 or 3 shelves per product for instance, and one location per product for the restockers to get their product from... I mean, just two boxes, instead of 4? Could be a thing. Got the game myself, early stages lol. Alot of fun! Cheers from Holland, Jake. ;-)
Yeah, I suggested the 10% specifically for getting less complaints and more profits. From what I've seen of watching you and a friend streaming this, at 10% on the dot, that's when they get feisty about pricing. So $1.00 market price could sell for 1.09, but 1.10 is where they randomly start to whine about it. So an easy way to do it would just be to eyeball it a bit. Raise 10 cents to every dollar on the market price and see what happens. So $15 item could sell for $16.50 without complaints. I wouldn't sweat busting out a calculator to penny pinch every product. Just get it close enough to be a better profit without them being upsetti spaghetti
I have played for nearly 100 hrs and the grind to get cash is real, too real as I only averaged 2,000 a day profit! I wanted to create a 'Sandbox' shop for myself and followed a guide on Steam to edit cash, supermarket level etc: I saved my original game to go back to because I do want to do this the legit way. I made a new save and gave myself over 1 mil cash and found that wasn't enough to get even half the expansions! If you feel you're gonna need a boost to keep this series from getting too much of a struggle for money you might want to consider a tweak here and there. tbh I think progression in this game needs to be addressed by the Dev.
Wow, even a mil wasn't enough? Ouff, hard grind is needed then... ;-) I gotta say I liked Trader Life Simulator a little more because of you could decide what to put on the shelves, and there were no complaints... Now you must have everything (so it seems ;-) ) or they are complaining...
What i found with prices is 10% over market will get some complaints and 6% will have very few. I put prices 5% over and round up to closest 0.05 to make checkout easier.
the stockers will only restock when there is 75% of stock remaining on each shelf. the shelves that hold less number of products will be stocked first. my bf looked into the files lol
Great video today. The store is looking good. All you need is to organize a little bit but overall it’s good. Don’t forget to get more lights for the back room and for the corner that you opened up inside the store.
The formula I use in Supermarket Simulator that has seemed to make me the most decent profit without any complaints is for anything less than 5.99 I add 0.10, anything from 6-10.99 I add 0.20, anything 11-15.99 I add 0.30, anything 16-20.99 I add 0.40, and anything over 21.00 add 1.00. Reading some of the other comments, it seems like I could possibly raise prices a little more still and still get away with no complaints. Maybe, I'll double the additional amount over MSRP with each price teir range, so +0.10, +0.20, +0.40, +0.80, +1.60. The biggest thing I've found to keep pricing more simple is to keep teir ranges for sure.
So I think the problem is your supply is outweighing your demand. With so much on the shelves and so much in the back you’re not effectively using the space you have. You will need a greater and greater size of a store to have full facings as opposed to half facings. And I know full facings looks pretty but pretty versus slogging away playing this game yo7 know? If you did half facings youd have more space in your shop not wasting money on expansions and have more licenses by now and as has been seen when you get more products the people buy more (even if like they still try to buy a bar of chocolate with a $100 lol) Also, even when the prices go down the cost of buying it goes down too so by stocking the back like that you are losing profit because you bought things at higher rates. You will always have a profit margin from cost.
Don't let Grill fool you, he has done this before and got paid real money to do it. That's right, Grill has stocking experience. When he used to be doing that. This must be a nostalgic trip. Lol.
I don’t think you are doing anything different to any others that I’ve seen. They’re also saying it’s a slow grind to make the money. Maybe cut more products down to half units to make space for new products without needing new shelves or chillers? For example I have never seen anyone selling lots of all the soft drinks so maybe a half unit for each of them? Then another stocker to make sure they never actually run out? Might mean you simply end up having to order more frequently, but eventually you’ll be able to work out which products sell quickly, which sell slower. It’s a puzzler - which is maybe why it’s caught the imagination of the TH-camrs and their watchers!
Just a suggestion maybe it will work idk but Try selling out of everything and see how much money you have. Don't buy anything unless you need 1 or 2 boxes Of that one thing But sell majority of your stock And see how much money you have I bet you have over $20000 of stock Cause at this point you're only Making the cost of day to day products.... if that makes sense. I mean u kinda said the same thing in the beginning of the episode. Just a thought don't wanna over step. I do love watching u play games. 💜💚💜💚💜💚
I agree with the pacing. I think the dev is working on it though. I also hope they fix the stockers so they take the box with the least amount of items first 😅 so many times my backroom shelves will be full of boxes but there will be like 5 items total 😂 i really hope rebalancing the pacing is high on the list of fixes though. Ive been stuck grinding for over 10 days to get the needed store level to get the next license and then there are 3 i can get all at once...
i have 50k and put about 40 hours into the game. I am level 39 or so, i am on my 5th license (the one with the yogurt), have 3 stockers and 3 cashiers and all my prices are set at the market price. I buy no more than 4 of the big boxes, 6 of the medium boxes and 18 of the really small boxes. I notice I come out on top every single time.
I'm pretty sure there are two fridges that are only half full and the one with the humus is one of them so I'm not sure you needed to buy two new double fridges when you did
Soap, bleach, cleaning supplies as well as the toilet paper should have a section of their own one day since its quite odd seeing bleach next to the tea and soap next to the cheese
Hey grill I believe if you constantly have your register put down and personally tend it you could get more people having all 4 open and your speed it would make sense to me
keeping the store closed for 30 minutes to restock is making money difficult. Raise prices enough so you can keep the store open full time. your store will lvl up faster also because you get +5sp whether they buy 2 items or 15 items. youll get -1sp complaint from alot of people but it will still be faster than leaving the store closed.
I’m not completely sure, but I think you left the yogurt on the market price when you were explaining things instead of marking it back up. I know it’s not worth a ton, but considering how expensive everything in this game is, every little bit counts. 😅 I love this game, but I do hope they adjust either the profits or the cost of things. Still, it’s awesome to see the back room be fully upgraded. It looks so spacious now.
hey Grillmastah, I'm a new sub to your channel and like your video to. I have a idea for your (or anyone's) storage room. Organizes your storage room if you want to see if this works where it is base on box size. Example: mini boxes together, small boxes together, medium boxes together then large boxes together. If it does not work for you then that means it's not your style.
Hi Grill, im sure you are tired of reading it, but you are spending way to much money on otems and have way too much stock, also i dont see any reason to have so much inventory on the floor. I wonder if you have everything at the exact market price whether you'll make more profit. Coz it doesn't seem like increasing over the market price is making much money. Probably won't have so many customers always screaming at ya BC it's too expensive.

I like watching you working at the register. It is very satisfying
Every time you post this game I get so excited to watch it!!! and can’t wait for the next one!
This game transformed Grillmastah into Mr. Krabs, now he only thinks about money
so funny, that's what he sounds like. lol
Money money money is what rings in my head in this game lol
Still enjoying this series! Gotta max out the grocery store. 🎉

when you decide to redo your store shelves just fire the stockers while you do it would probably be cheaper.
This is what I do anytime I have to rearrange my shelves, lol

the best way is box the storage rack cuz all product stays with it when boxed then u dont have to fire or take the product off
Don't let Grill fool you, he has done this before and got paid real money to do it.

You’re doing great 🎉
There are mods that you can pause stockers and run in game in the background. These are on Nexus Mods. Great Video
Definitely max out ur storage to stock mor and from time to time u will have to fire and rehire ur stockers when u have to rearrange ur store
so i wanna say the issue might be you have to buy when cheap and maybe lower your shlving amounts on some items

they should add a delivery worker to put stock away.

Hi ! Love your VIDS !! I have been playing and what I fine for me is up market price by 10-20 cents and do alright.
Soap, bleach, cleaning supplies as well as the toilet paper should have a section of their own one day since its quite odd seeing bleach next to the tea and soap next to the cheese
Love it❤
