- On a cool February morning this ex L&N, ex Monon caboose has arrived at the Kentucky Railway Museum. Built in 1952 by the International Railway Car & Equipment Company originally number C-363 this caboose is no stranger to the Lebanon Branch of the L&N railroad which KRM owns the remaining 17 miles of track. It was regularly assigned to the Lebanon Branch and Greensburg Branch starting in the Late 1970's until being retired in 1983. After passing through several owners this caboose has now arrived back on the Lebanon Branch. Still in private ownership it will be stored at the Kentucky Railway Museum with restoration to operation in the near future. As always Thanks for watching please Like and Subscribe. Copyright 2024. I "think" that is the same caboose that has been on display in a person's yard adjacent to the CSX "S&NA North" main right on the AL/TN line. I noticed it suddenly disappeared recently. Whether it is indeed that one or another one, good to see it being restored.
Yes, it came from Ardmore, AL.
Nice video!
