Yt shorts on my second channel got me over 900+ subs this past week totaling over 500,000+ views (and I used a lot of famester as well). I really do recommend them if you are starting out your TH-cam channel, my channel was dead for like 7-8 years and it’s just now pulling in subscribers & a community just from yt shorts, so definitely get on that.
You just ask. Talk to them like they're people because they usually are. I get about 10-20% of the people I ask. Most just never reply but some will and I've only had a few rejections or people asking for money. Don't give them money. I won't give you my script but I just ask nicely and tell them you'll put their handle in the title, description and pinned comment. If they're cool, I'll ask them to write a comment with their handle and I'll pin it. Gets rid of the people saying you're "stealing content". Also, don't use creators who also post on YT. If you're gonna use a YT video, edit the hell out of it so YT doesn't think it's reused. But generally, just avoid them. I have one with like 30M views that I got straight from YT but I edited and mirrored it significantly.
