Agree with those below. Special thanks for giving 1G it share of the time. It was during the 1G period that wireless ( cellular) caught on with the public. Those handful of us that made 1G work in the US worked our butts off day and night to make it happen. Many of the wireless "historic" videos barely mention this period, some not at. Appears a lot of people don't know as much as they think they do.

Nice tutorial.
I was quite confused about what does the phone uses at the end. But nowadays it always uses 4G also for SMS and Phone calls, apart from Mobile Internet. If you switch off mobile data it keeps using 4G for sms and calls, just the internet band is now shut.
