He turned Six into a monster but that is better for Six because she will be just right if the music box is around with her. She does not want to be free she just wants the music box (that is so sadistic imo).
@@toau408 i like to think that it's the tower that turned six into a monster, i think the tower is an antagonist that uses mono's powers (the thin man) to do its bidding at consuming life sources and as a result disfiguring people. Thin man (mono) only aimed to stop the betrayal from happening.
He is pretty handsome for the first few but on the last two he just completely goes from young man to old man. He is pretty good looking considering all of the other people look like huge sagging blobs of flesh.
Can we appreciate that the devs spent time detailing these one time use models down to the creases in mono's coat even though it's so dark you won't be able to see it.

I think the Signal Tower is able to rapidly distort your whole body and face if you get long enough exposure of it. I mean just look at what the Tower made to Six, pure monstrosity! Not even a day passed when The Thin Man took her away from Mono but she's already that distorted.
Oddly, his face is relatively normal. I think this ties back into just how powerful he is compared to everyone else. Normal people quickly mutate into monsters under its direct influence, while those exposed to its signal via TVs are steadily consumed, and indirect exposure through its signal will cause mutations over time. Mono, by contrast sits in its heart and merely ages steadily, which is a testament to just how innately powerful he is. Six, by contrast is an ordinary mortal, at least for now.

We all know that time is broken in the Pale City so the same effect could be a lot stronger in the tower (even space itself is broken in the tower) so Six could been trapped there for far longer or shorter than a day but that is just my thoughts.

Mono just sits. Waiting. Biding his time til' the day where he can actually tell his younger self to break the cycle. A man, faced with many regrets and betrayal, decides it's time to help free himself from it. In a way, he's trapped in his own mind, forced to decide whether or not he should stay, or to actually attempt to break the time paradox. In other words, I like him.
Every single attempt will always fail. Once it happens it is set in stone forever. Which makes it even more sad. He knows he will fail every. single. time. But he has to unwillingly abide by the rules of time, he has to meet his demise at the hands of his younger, more powerful self.

Random fact: In the concept art there were originally going to be television monitors on a wall behind Mono that first come out distorted but slowly form properly as he got older.
I have the concept art as well, I wonder what that meant, I thought it was implying he was the one who made/created the monitors, but I am not sure. Do you have any theories of what could that meant?

The Thin Man aka Mono used the monitors he supposedly created and then made the transmission which absorbed people's essence as shown in the concept art it created a goo of meat which then formed into The Eye Creature, The creature had the urge to kill Mono as well. The Thin Man aka Mono isn't trapped in that room, which is confirmed by the glitched children around the city and the woods and Episode 2 of the digital LN2 comics. The concept art also shows Mono/The Thin Man interrogating a child while sitting and talking to the child, possibly Mono asking the child if they saw a girl that fits the description he gave. To add, The Thin Man was extremely persistent to complete his goal which also matches Mono's personality who never gives up further proving they're the same, which even the studio confirmed they are the same and said The Signal Tower was created for the purpose of the transmission, so it kinda goes around with Mono creating the tower and being the one behind everything, which also to add the kid we see sitting on a chair may be The Thin Man when he was a child or the former Mono.

Since Mono doesnt look so similar when he became a thin man, I'm pretty sure Six dropped him because her soul got separated from her body, and as seen in little nightmares 2, theyre usually the bodies that are attacking, and Six hasnt felt any hunger throughout the game until he escaped on her own and saw her own figure. The six figure was the one that started helping mono after Six herself was taken. So im sure that's Six's soul who loves Mono and wouldve wanted to pull him up as Six's body was just being uncontrollably a monster
Mono didnt deserve this. He was so friendly and risked his life several times for Six. He sat there for years on end, nothing to do except contemplate how he would stop this from happening again. Imagine sitting in the same room for years, doing nothing but heartbroken. Mono lives matter

If he was a kid killer, he would've killed six right away or caught mono easily, but he didn't. Why? My guess is because he never held a grudge against six. And he didn't want to hurt mono, he wanted to stop mono. You can tell because he always walked when chasing him and always grabbed him. I think she recognized him trough his powers. When he calls monster six you can see black ashes rise from his body (just like the glitched children) wich makes it clear he is using his powers to broadcast a signal calling her name. The screen even shakes and changes color slightly when he calls her, very similar to when the thin man caught her.

Even when he freed her she got up and glared at him, like she didnt wanna be set free. I think she didnt really care about Mono as soon as they started running away when the place started collapsing and probably hoped he would get left behind which is probably why she was so far in front and didnt look back when he fell.

I think the combination of losing some of her soul during her kidnapping + thinman probably torturing her & seeing mono’s face is the same as thinman’s made her drop him. If either one of those things didn’t happen i think she’d have pulled him up. She seemed to care about him during the kidnapping, then hostile as soon as she was released from the music box. (Remember how she turned her head and got up after the music box broke vs when she pulled mono back from the TV and gestured concern to him just before she got taken)

That was supposed to be a big moment for Mono since he had a thing for hiding his face with the hats he finds, he uses them to try to hide from the world and its cruelty, but now elongated and corrupted by the tower he gets back his hat he's most likely regressing back to hiding his face.
Mono's fate is heartbreaking. He is one of the only characters in the game I'm honestly truly sorry for. He got betrayed and had to sit alone for years,see himyelf become the person he was trying to defeat all along and he couldn't do anything agains it

Random fact: In the concept art there were originally going to be television monitors on a wall behind Mono that first come out distorted but slowly form properly as he got older.
I have the concept art as well, I wonder what that meant, I thought it was implying he was the one who made/created the monitors, but I am not sure.

The Thin Man aka Mono used the monitors he supposedly created and then made the transmission which absorbed people's essence as shown in the concept art it created a goo of meat which then formed into The Eye Creature, The creature had the urge to kill Mono as well. The Thin Man aka Mono isn't trapped in that room, which is confirmed by the glitched children around the city and the woods and Episode 2 of the digital LN2 comics. The concept art also shows Mono/The Thin Man interrogating a child while sitting and talking to the child, possibly Mono asking the child if they saw a girl that fits the description he gave. To add, The Thin Man was extremely persistent to complete his goal which also matches Mono's personality who never gives up further proving they're the same, which even the studio confirmed they are the same and said The Signal Tower was created for the purpose of the transmission, so it kinda goes around with Mono creating the tower and being the one behind everything, which also to add the kid we see sitting on a chair may be The Thin Man when he was a child or the former Mono.

Mono is on an endless loop of him killing his old lonely self for eternity. It's really a fcked and sad situation.
Since Mono doesnt look so similar when he became a thin man, I'm pretty sure Six dropped him because her soul got separated from her body, and as seen in little nightmares 2, theyre usually the bodies that are attacking, and Six hasnt felt any hunger throughout the game until he escaped on her own and saw her own figure. The six figure was the one that started helping mono after Six herself was taken. So im sure that's Six's soul who loves Mono and wouldve wanted to pull him up as Six's body was just being uncontrollably a monster

When he calls monster six you can see black ashes rise from his body (just like the glitched children) wich makes it clear he is using his powers to broadcast a signal calling her name. The screen even shakes and changes color slightly when he calls her, very similar to when the thin man caught her.

Even when he freed her she got up and glared at him, like she didnt wanna be set free. I think she didnt really care about Mono as soon as they started running away when the place started collapsing and probably hoped he would get left behind which is probably why she was so far in front and didnt look back when he fell.

I think the combination of losing some of her soul during her kidnapping + thinman probably torturing her & seeing mono’s face is the same as thinman’s made her drop him. If either one of those things didn’t happen i think she’d have pulled him up. She seemed to care about him during the kidnapping, then hostile as soon as she was released from the music box. (Remember how she turned her head and got up after the music box broke vs when she pulled mono back from the TV and gestured concern to him just before she got taken)

That was supposed to be a big moment for Mono since he had a thing for hiding his face with the hats he finds, he uses them to try to hide from the world and its cruelty, but now elongated and corrupted by the tower he gets back his hat he's most likely regressing back to hiding his face.
Mono's fate is heartbreaking. He is one of the only characters in the game I'm honestly truly sorry for. He got betrayed and had to sit alone for years,see himyelf become the person he was trying to defeat all along and he couldn't do anything agains it
He accepted his faith.
Imagine him sitting on that chair for years without eating,sleeping,showered, pretty much he was sitting there until he turned 60
