Dan Vasc version super exceeds all you listed
He just dropped that 5 days ago! I may listen to it and post it up here. You know I love Dan!@@janeteitsworth8824
He doesn't participate in competitions, but please check out Dan Vasc's interpretation of "O Holy Night" that he released on the night of December 22, 2023. You've never heard this Christmas song like this before!
I only watch Dan Vasc - he’s incredible ❤
wow, Home Free's likes were amazing - 17% of the views! David's were half that. I am surprised that more Home Fries didn't comment, but perhaps it was because we presume everyone KNOWS that the HF version is the best 😁. It was a fun contest and I heard some versions I'd never have heard otherwise - some really good, some NOT But in the end, I have to stand with HF, although thee Thomas sisters did offer up a lovely, no frills version that would have stood at the top of a solo/duet category.
Hf is definitely the BEST! ❤❤
It's because this channel doesn't have a lot of fries. You know who should have won. 😂❤❤
I’ll agree to that and no one can beat # HOMEFREE harmony I love lots of versions of this song but Honestly it was HOMEFREE for me. ❤
I refuse to even watch any other 'o holy night' after this one. It's my favorite of all time. ❤❤❤❤❤
DAN VASC!!!!!!!!
David green sweater will always be #1!
David Phelps version is the Greatest of All time he delivers it the way it is meant to be delivered!
This contest should be called "Fan Favorite," not "The Best." Music is subjective and a matter of taste, like asking what is the "best" ice cream flavor. Depending on your taste, you could answer chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, pistachio, etc. None of those flavors are objectively "the best." I don't really see the point of pitting all these singers and song versions against one another. It's a beautiful hymn, and I am going to give each performer the benefit of the doubt in that they were doing their best for the glory of God. I enjoyed many of these, including Home Free. I love Home Free, and will be seeing them in concert soon. But the GSP by David Phelps is my "favorite."
Anne Murray is one of my fave's. I loved them all. Whitney was probably my least favorite.
Whitney had a huge talent, but her style was just not for me. Too much power, not enough feeling. For example, I much preferred Dolly Parton's original version of "I Will Always Love You." She sang it with such bittersweet tenderness. Whitney just belted it as an anthem. @@ThanksForSubscribingWeLoveYou
But Home Free IS THE BEST. so....😉🫠🥰
@@SchoeneTante That is the problem with a lot of the versions of O Holy Night, too.
So happy Tommy Johansson made your list!
I love Tommy!
Hola soy Douglas
I really hoped that someone, any reactor, would do John Davidson's O Holy Night. His Christmas cd/album is wonderful and his voice is so beautiful. Maybe next year you or someone will treat this subscriber to his music.
Carrie Underwood 💟🎄
Evidently, yall haven't heard Rebecca Pfortmiller of Gateway Church. Look her up.
I went to listen David and Home free.
Sorry, I keep my vote to the Thomas sisters. A lot of more sincerity, purity and soul. They do not have the fame of these artists yet, but, I am sure that soon we will say Lucy as we say Céline or Barbara❤
The sisters' version was lovely, and if we were doing solo/duets separately from larger groups, they would be my first choice for solo/duets. No 'filler', no nonsense - just lovely singing.
David green sweater was just him and a mic, no frills, no production, just a mic and his voice!@@nancyholter5646
@@ThanksForSubscribingWeLoveYou I must presume that the 'green sweater' one is the Bill Gaither one - not just him and a mic. Him, a mic, and an entirely over the top piano accompaniment. If I close my eyes and shut out the piano, I really enjoy his presentation until the second verse, then he starts to rely on his power instead of his voice. But over all, I can't ignore the piano, his physical theatrics, and his 'power play'. He could have gotten an impressive climax to the song without an of those things - but he was playing for the audience - which I totally understand, given the audience, but it detracts from my enjoyment of the song and his voice.
David phelps❤
The version by David at the Barn was also live.
Yes indeed. I think I misspoke. I was so tired last night! That version is my fave...
Life in three D
When you run a "contest" like this it is really a popularity contest, it has NOTHING to do with the quality of singing, obviously !!!! Being different and doing all sorts of vocal gymnastics is not better, it is just different, and when you do not set the rules before the songs re played people have no Idea how to "vote". not impressed with your contest !!! !
