Your content is very useful for me and other people who learning how to mix techno. At first, i just copied your mixing style to train my skill till i can mix the songs smoothly. Now i have my own mixing style but i still learn other mixing methods in order to fully develop mine. Also your chosen songs are such banger, keep it up. Thank you, Foxhole. Have a good day 💪💪💪
Very talented DJ for sure! From what I could see he was using beat jumps and loops to sync everything up perfectly! I’m sure there’s other techniques but this stood out to me the most.
A song has sections. An intro, two drops and outro. He is looking at the laptop and aligning the start of an 8 bar section in song A to the start of an 8 bar section in song B. They then align perfectly
you are incredible thanks a lot for your sets, keep it up ! Just wanted to say though that i think it would be better if you kept the video format clearer, with only the software and the dj console with a nice lightning on the screen like you used to do in your first videos, it would make it easier for begginners to follow your moves!
This is so good and helps me a lot understanding more about dj’ing. question, do you think about each song before your set or do you sometimes chose what song you’ll be doing next in the moment? Keep up the good work!
I never prepare tracks, i always play in the moment! all songs are build in the same way most of the time. So with proper phrasing youll come very far!
Nice to see new stuff from you. Today I recorded a new set aswell and will publish tomorrow. For me personally I like the flx 4 videos the most cause I’m using it aswell haha I had no time to practice the last 6 months You’re always an inspiration for my transitions
Really like your content, keep it up. I got my own flx4 a few days ago and i want to mix techno too but im kinda struggeling right now with the beginning. Do you have any tips on how you started mixing? I get the concept but cant use it on my own
Puuh, sometimes i think i have no coordination. Its difficult to let the song play on the boxes and at the same time to use the cue button to prepare the second track. Also i kinda dont know how to prepare the tracks right yk. I have the feeling that i think to complicated.
Idk honestly it depends on your passion and your talent i started mixing and was already able to mix properly in the second hour. Its easy count beats press the button cue and see what part you like play it idk man watch some vids its maybe just practice@@GüneySari-d5n
@@GüneySari-d5n It's a matter of muscle memory. Just keep practicing and always record your sets and listen to them. I've been doing this for a couple of months and now my sets are decent in my opinion. Try to be consistent with it and you will improve really fast. As far as track preparation, i had a huge backlog of tracks saved on soundcloud. I downloaded them in batches like 50-60 tracks per batch. Played only with them and then downloaded a new batch and repeated the process. This helped me "learn" and get familiar with me majority of the tracks that i have.
I think its important to try things you find scary or hard, for example 4 channel mixing, scratching, sample's, hot cue live button pressing. what I sometimes do is just try random things and use effects, and sometimes I get a new sound that I can use!
I always use master tempo so that the key doesn‘t shift when adjusting bpm over 3% and in all of your sets you have it turned off (visible in rekordbox beside small joggwheels and key shift when you adjust bpm) therefore I was wondering if you do it on purpose to get more similar keys while mixing or if you just like it that way. If you do it on purpose, what‘s the reason for it?
@@R6-POV I never use because I think it sounds a bit off when it's the same key but on a faster tempo! friends of mine do use it because they like the original version and like to keep it in the same key. in conclusion Not really a reason for it just preference I guess!
