I’m back in 2024 to listen to this again ❤ I grew up in the 90s in Ekiti listening to this music . I will serve the Lord God all the days of my life 🙏🏾
I was a primary school pupil in Ondo during the early 70s but can't remember when I started hearing and loving this music. God bless her soul and that of my Ikale friends
I interviewed madam Omoge on radio several times in 1980 very humble, down to earth, beautiful, may her good soul rest, sincerely legendary radio #1 disc jockey Francis Hollywood Akin ojo voice 89,9 FM General Manager the longest serving radio personality,
This song was always been played at Idepe Progressive Union (Ibadan) annual anniversary by our parents when growing up ❤❤. Listening to it now brings sweet old memories, thanks for the upload.
Classy woman, great singer , songwriter , back in 1980 as morning radio personality I interviewed her on my morning show, she was beautiful, Thanks to late radio legend Tunde Bamidele, my mentor, he made the connection, Radio legend Francis Akin ojo voice General Manager 89,9 the longest serving radio personality in Nigeria,
2023, today was the first day I heard this song been played in a farm, that I had to approach the farmer who couldnt even remember who sang this song, because he was busy, but anyway he allowed me to record it, which I had to master the lyrics eventually that helped me to find it on TH-cam, God bless technology!!
Am not an ikale but this music eh. E de burst my brain. Right from my childhood my mum used this music to train us but am d only one that still follow oldskul
I love this song like kilodeee... I remember I sang it when I was anchoring (emceeing) a send-forth ceremony at the Lagos State Ministry of Education between 2012 and 2015. Listening to it now while working on a blog post, far away from home. Hmnnn
As an Ijaw man drums are blessing to my soul mostly good music like this , I fall in love with her songs way back when I was in ondo state, my boss keep playing her songs and I could not resist the beat even if I don't understand much ikale. I'm still searching for the songs in her album Eda Nreti Eleya much love legend ❤️❤️
Madam Omoge's originality and undiluted Ikale lyrics is ambassadorial in the intended and unintended cultural putsch beyond Nigeria's borders... The beautiful voice and the instruments' blend won't stop to marvel me... Leave a worthy legacy while you live....she left an uplifting music genre. She lived well
I remember listening to this Legend in the 80's while growing up in Nigeria. In my wildest dreams I didnt think I'd actually find it online. Thank you for uploading this absolute gem. 🙏🏾
Kudos for uploading this great work here. Chief (Mrs) Comfort Omoge still remains a musical legend even in death and Ikale cultural icon. Mama lives on
Nice to get a clear clean upload of this - being a non Yoruba, I just wonder how I perfectly understand her . First heard on the the Radio Nigeria 2 Lunchtime Break [early '80s] as a teenager ?
Thanks for this upload. Our younger generation should continue to keep the flag flying. And continue from where the likes of our mama Olori Comfort Omoge and Crosdale Juba left. I salute the efforts of all our present Ikale musicians. We should support and give them the necessary publicity. They should show love and recognition for every part of Ikale land. The musicians should not neglect any part of Ikale. We need music that will unify us. God bless our artists , God bless Ikale land, God bless Nigeria.
Yes am in my 50s born abroad grew up in LAgos. First time my dad who is a native played it. I have loved. Please share any Ikale artist names so I can support
