Hey do you know anything about the sd card reader problemo everyone is unfortunately reporting? GPD have responded saying it’s a software issue and not a hardware problem but I’m a little sceptical 🧐
I do not know anything about it, as my reader is fine. All I know is, that you can increase the stability of the reader if you decrease the speed to USB 2.0 in the BIOS. To fix the full speed fully, there needs to be a BIOS update from GPD
Question. Are the gamepad buttons supposed to be backlit? My keyboard is backlit but my gamepad buttons don't seem to be. Or the back light to the gamepad is disabled somehow?

Not all of them. Only a hand full. Also that worm is always the same which will be detected by Windows defender without even doing an update. So it is not even a threat. At the moment, we do not know why this worm exists. The most likely answer is, that some worker at a factory installs this to harm GPD. This worm will 100% be detected by defender. If you want to be 100% save, simply make a Windows boot USB stick and reinstall. It is super easy and quick to do. By all means, get a Max 2. The chance is suuuper low. If you do not want to get one with a worm 100%, buy the 2tb unit from Dragonbox. That one will get a custom SSD from the shop owner, as GPD does not sell 2tb units officially any more. So this one will get a fresh install by a reliable German company.
Noticed when charging I can feel a tingling sensations when I touch the lid or parts of the unit. Feels like the flow of electricity. Did you notice that on yours? Thanks for the video.
Do you talk about the shoulder buttons? I liked the black ones better at first, too, but in the end it's not much of a difference and the new ones are much more scratch resistant it seems. BTW, if you want to swap the buttons by yourself, you can always send a Mail or DM to GPD. If they have some of the old buttons left, they might send it to you. GPD is quite generous regarding such topics.
Sorry for pointing out. IMHO too much music. Not sure where your mic was, but when leaning close your voice is clear, but when going back, music is louder. Nice content tho!
4:56 "Final Unit Trigger has Less Resistance" Good, on all of my console controllers I cut the trigger spring in half because it's painful to play racing games with a stiff trigger.
@@mystechry It's the penalty for a lifetime of spending all your free time gaming. My hands are generally sensitive to Repetitive Motion Injury, also I will always play with vibration set to minimum (or sometimes off) as too much shaking will irritate my wrist.
@@mystechry Playing Forza the trigger rumble on the Xbox controller is necessary to feel tire traction in braking and acceleration, in that game it's a big performance advantage, otherwise I can mostly agree it's unnecessary. I really hope everyone moves to HD rumble, being able to convey "texture" as much as "punch to the gut" should actually make games more enjoyable.
Nono, do not worry. The first IGG units and the domestic shipping which happened before had much similarity with the prototype. There were quite a few units with the old housing. I should have made this more clear I guess. Do not worry. You did not get the faulty touchpad for example. There were quite a few units with the old screen and housing.

Yes. Both have that. Prototype and retail unit.
I changed my adapter to a grounding one and it helped. Might wanna look into that.
I wanted the black version I thought they mentioned it during the Indigogo campaign 😪
