I really think Kourtney is a bitter person just because of what she'd been through. Her mom clearly had favorites, her mom cheating on her dad, some more mommy issues, sibling rivalry, shitty man to marry, toxic exposure, no private life, etc.
But honestly, I would never blame her being a bitter and miserable person but it's sad to see that she keeps on letting herself be trapped in her past and pains and failures. Your past definitely helped in shaping who you are but you cannot let it dictate you. If she wants to be happy and free of the toxicity her family is creating, then she should keep her distance. All I can see is an unhappy person, leaking bitterness because of the past. She can't let her past and these people affect her anymore. I sympathized truly but we cannot changed other people, only ourselves. We can only influence them but at the end of the day, only you are the master of your life so I hope that I'll see her happier and ready to let go of her bitterness.
