@@HazeOutdoors how do you find the 7d silnylon floor holds up? thinking of getting Gossamer Gear The DCF Two, only so as it would have room for hiking with room for a dog and pack gear and doubt there's enough room to squeeze them in? Also with the floor being so think where its a good idea or get a different tent or just get the dog some tent socks lol
Without doubt the funniest and most likeable bloke on TH-cam. Hazey is the only person who can put a smile on my face when i'm battling my own noggin demons. Keep on keeping on you legend, cheers 🍻
People can get their knickers in a twist over the weirdest things. You can drink your beer and wine and still be a role model, because there is nothing wrong with drinking beer and wine.

„Sometimes I don’t want myself to feel good“ - mate that is such a nugget of wisdom. It’s exactly like that. Once I start sliding into a depressive episode, I want to do anything but that which I know would make me feel better. You can get addicted to sadness and anxiety.
What a great adventure. I love your videos - and I'm a 60+ woman in New Zealand! I bought the same tent for a 6 day tramp/camp down the top of our South Island a couple of years ago. Had one night in the bush where it poured down with rain and blew a gale - had to clamber out in the middle of the night to re-peg the guys, so your video brought all that back. Great times - and I'm still loving my Gossamer One, and my Lowa boots. Heading out again in a couple of days, and can't wait. (Will be taking my vino with me too. Nothing beats it - out in the middle of nowhere, watching the sunset with glass in hand...) All the best to you mate - keep them coming.
Those aerial sequences and the song were made for one another....achingly beautiful. You are an inspiration in so many ways, was my lucky day when I discovered your channel. Top bloke!!
I've always has a lot of respect for you young Hazey, especially since your 'Show us your Steak' campaign but today's vid has raised that respect to another level. Namaste. :o)
There’s something about your videos. I’ve loved every one. Honest, beautifully shot, entertaining to the point it’s like being on FaceTime with a best friend chatting about stuff. Your Yorkshire wit and commentary just add that gold leaf to your content. For someone like me who’s 54 and struggling currently with some mental health issues your channel has been a source of inspiration and therapy for those down and confusing days. By far it’s better than TV and I like when I see your video is 30min plus as I can settle back and escape my life for a while. Thank you Hazey 🙏
Literally by far my most favourite TH-camr. I'm so glad I happened across you a few months back, I've watched all your videos and you've inspired me to get back out there and enjoy nature for what it is!
I don’t think the drinking on channel is a problem, you enjoy it for the taste and smell, and seem to have a healthy attitude towards it. I think you are a positive role model for how to enjoy a drink.
So relatable in what you say in this video regarding you know how to care for yourself but at times you don't listen to your own advice. Like a roller-coaster at times with the ups n downs.
Monday morning at work in Level 3 lockdown...this is just what I needed to watch. Good for the soul. How amazing that you can have such a positive affect on someone 25,000 miles away in NZ. Thanks Hazey once again. Big man hugs to you brother.
Mate, we all did what we needed to do to get through the lockdowns. On top of lockdown, my partner was diagnosed with a tumour right at the base of her skull. My head went to some dark spots, but I did what I needed to do to get through & I always remind myself that we are the lucky ones, who are still on this mortal plane! Big up to you for your honesty about mental health - we need it!
Proper role model for us out here struggling with noggin problems. You remind me to get out into't trees n that, cook a bit a food an have a tin. Love it mush, proper job
You really made me laugh out loud throughout your vid. Your both entertaining and a genuine bloke. I never grow tired of listening to you hazy. Cheers 👩🌾
Always have a check list of your gear in order not to forget such important items as the means of starting a fire. Always stake down your lines expecting the weather to turn bad. Sixty years of outdoor camping has taught me to be more caution and respectful of weather conditions, just in case. I now drive as close to the chosen location as possible for two reasons, first I can’t manage hiking any more but more importantly I have my vehicle as refuge should things go wrong. Once camping on the coast of Aberdeenshire in winter I lost not just the tent but most of its contents. I was changing into dry cloths when a massive and sustained gust pulled the tent from its double pegging and second guy line to front and rear , I was left with just the ground sheet and what remained in my haversack. five miles from my van and in pitch darkness.
Those feelings you had fella.... You are NOT alone. There's millions of us thinking what the f@%k is going on in our Country / World.... Keep it in the day and do not stop making your great videos. You are helping so so many people !! God bless ya mate 🙏🏼
Enjoyable video, thank you Isn’t technology wonderful! In the past if I had wanted to watch some bloke drinking a can of beer, whilst sitting outside and talking to himself, I would have had to have gone down the local shopping centre. Now, I can do so without even leaving the comfort of my own home, COVID safe. Thanks for making it so. Keep up the good work
the bit where you talk about being your own worst enemy and stopping yourself feeling good. mate, i totally know this. not only have i been there, but i'm often right there. its been one of the main things i was working on with a therapist before the pandemic mate that impossible. its almost like a self protection mechanism, isn't it? the 'logic' goes something like - if i keep myself depressed, then its an excuse not to do anything, then i'm keeping my head down, and i'm safe. love your candour and honesty putting it all out there, mate. i reckon you are helping loads of people way more than you could ever realise.
Dont worry about the drinking online, you are not getting bladdered and wrecking stuff. You are camping and having a couple of beers in your videos, that is sensible drinking habbits if you ask me. Teenagers need to know its ok to only have 2 or 3 drinks and that it is not all about drinking a bottle of vodka and passing out. Keep up the good work :)
