Just a reminder of how much info I gleaned from you over the years. I hope you are doing well sir...and thanks again for all you do. (I wish the damn notification bell from Screw Toob would do its job better) Edit: has anybody come up with a volume pedal since you made this that would rival the Morley? I still have my old Morley Vol/Wah combo pedal with all its glorious noise lol.
I actually changed over to a "Lehle" volume pedal and it works great. They are $300...They better work well. lol I'm so glad that you have been watching for so long. You really like punishment. lol

Hope you're getting and feeling a lot better. I was having flashbacks of some of your videos yesterday, and now I see you reappear today.... awesome 👍😎. Welcome back!!!🎸
Many thanks for checking in on me. Things are going good. I've never stopped posting, TH-cam just hasn't been featuring any of my videos for some reason. So, lots to catch up on if you wish. Stay GROOVY!
For me, Waylon Jennings had one of the best tones and effects that inspired me as a kid (and still does). When I’d hear the intro to Luckenbach or I’ve Always Been Crazy my ears would just perk up! I also love/loved the great Don Williams’ effects used and Johnny Lee. Speaking of Johnny Lee, you fulfilled my request for teaching the intro to Lookin’ for Love, which I now know by heart, thanks to you. I play the song whenever live and it’s one of my favorites to do.
Agree. My band was one of the opening acts for Waylon at the Salinas Country Fairgrounds back in 1981. It was also Shooter's 3rd birthday party and Jesse brought him out on stage. Plenty of pictures from that show, but still can't find a recording of it. Waylon sounded great, running through a huge Music Man cabinet for that show. I think he was using a Peavey head with the built in phase shifter. It sounded awesome. Our rhythm player / lead singer was able to play through it. One of the best afternoons of my life.
Dr. Groovy!!!!!! Scott Its been quite a journey and my favorite videos include tours of your collection. Always direct, informative and no nonsense. Thank you . I miss my RP200 which was a brother tp the multi effects you show. When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought, boy Scott looks young, must be a healthy lifestyle.
Great classic video Dr Groovy. You’re completely correct about the compressor. I have that exact same one in my live pedal board and it’s always on. Neal Schon swears by this exact pedal he said he just cranks his up. Hope all is well my man been a subscriber a long time
I have always learned from these videos and I started teaching myself guitar in October of 1974. But Scott, here, has so much wisdom. I even got the Digitech RP-55 based on his review and I liked the idea of a little box that can be A-B box connected to any system, whether a mixing console in rehearsal or even a PA system at a venue, whether a bar or a band stand in a casino. For example, I am close to Choctaw Casino in Durant, Ok and Winstar in Thackerville, Ok. I have been to Winstar and they have house bands that A-B box into the sound system in that area and do just fine. It's a small stage. So, I gave that and my Fender 85 amp and some guitars to a plumber that helped me and I wanted to return the favor. I have kept my Ibanez and got my self the Fender Mustang GTX 100 with footboard. 100 watts RMS, and it is a modeling amp and it is all I will ever need for home, recording, even performing. You just don't need much. I am still learning from Scott even though we are close in age. All you young people, listen to Scott and watch his videos and you will learn everything you need to play any style. Scott Grove should be recognized as a national treasure.
You are way too kind my friend. Yeah, some of the simplest FX or modeling amps can get you through a ton of situations. I'm glad that they are doing the trick for you. Stay Groovy and thanks so much for writing in.
Hello Scott , I thought I lost your channel few years ago, just saw this video on my feed happy to see you again in health. I missed seeing your guitar collection at the back 😊

Hey Scott, I remember this video from back in the day. That Paul Stanley Silvertone Apocalypse guitar in the beginning still a great looking guitar. I just finished watching for nostalgia and learned a few things again from re-watching it. I need to figure out how to get that boner tone of yours! I have a fairly nice pedalboard I think. That I have been working on for a few years. Maybe we could come up with the boner tone or something pretty close to it. Hope all is well on your end man.

Still hanging on to some J-Stations myself. Glad to know that yours is still holding up. That fountain of youth is thanks to an old VHS recorder and hoarding a few old videos until now. lol
Hi Scott, i have a old Fender M80, what do you think of them? I have the half stack. I also have a Custom Quad 200 half stack as well. The speakers for both are 4x12. What do you think of these??? Please let me know. Always loved your channel
If I remember correctly, the M80 was the one with the gray carpet covering. They are a good, clean amp. I used to use a Fender Ultra-Chorus combo that was nearly the same amp. It sounded great with my pedalboard and I remember using the dirty channel as well and it sounded great. I know what the Kustom is, but have never played through one.
technically though couldn't it be an input jack on the guitar because your inputting a cable to transfer signal, i thought an input jack just referred to the idea that you inputting a cable to do some sort of a jb in the case sending adio to the net unit in line. i didnt think input meant your sending a signal into the guitar, just playing devils advocate haha
I always though of the guitar's jack as an output so that it lines up with pedals etc. They are labeled input and output...so, out of the guitar, into a pedal, out of the pedal and so on. I never want to run an input into an input. It keeps me from getting too confused. I REALLY don't need any further help being confused. lol
You say “Beginners” might not know what they want, well duh, of course not. Even if every pedal was demonstrated they will still be beginners and still not know which pedal to get. I am a beginner and I have one pedal. What the heck am I supposed to do with it? First thing I need to do is learn how to play the guitar otherwise what the heck am I doing with a pedal? Ok, maybe I am being a bit harsh, just a bit, but still. Let’s say, since I am a beginner now with whatever pedal I have what’s going to happen to that pedal once I get past the beginners level? Hmm, well at least I had some experience with it and I could decorate my guitar room with pedal shelves to help collect an insane amount of dust. Right now I need to get back to practicing my guitar(s).
@@groovydjs I have a Cry Baby mini Wah 😁. Big fan of Stevie Ray Vaughan and his Voodoo song ( originally Jimi Hendrix). So, coordinating both hands and foot is a major challenge.
