The headphone icon came up indicating that my phone was sending audio via the headphone jack even though no headphones were attached. I think I may have splashed a little water into the jack to cause this. I took a cotton bud (Q-tip), removed most of the cotton wool to thin it down, then inserted it all the way into the jack and rotated it several times. This fixed the issue right away.
Thank you so much! I recorded a video and could not hear it so I googled and found you. As soon as I saw, are you connected to bluetooth I realized I had talked to my husband on my headphones and it was still on! Thank you so much for saving my sanity!
I wish I could hear what he was saying. PS. I just figured out that you should go to sound settings and remove the "Do not disturb" feature at the very bottom of the list. Hope that helps someone else. 👍
My husband tells me to plug the headphones (that were not plugged) and then unplug them. It worked. I think a bit of moisture fell in the headphone plug yesterday from the rain and somehow/maybe the phone thought there was a headphone connected. Hope this helps someone. 🙂
Check to make sure it's not you're head/earphones making the problem. See if you're sound can go though another head/ear phone or the phone itself. This helped me.
Very simple way to check if the audio output correct is to open the tile with the wifi and stuff it says media make sure it says this phone. I'm not sure if that was covered or not.
just a quick now I'm a grammar freak and I'm voice texting and the phone just does not pick up all of my commands! With respect thank you this video helps a lot.

I like to fall asleep listening to meditation videos on TH-cam. I also turn the do not disturb on so I can sleep until my alarm sounds. I had no problems with those two settings together on my previous Android, but no sound with videos with the Google pixel 6. Does this mean I cannot listen to the videos and turn on the do not disturb?

My media sound issue was due to water in headphone port, my phone thought a headphone was plugged in so the media sound output was headphone instead of phone. I realized this when clicking around in my media settings. I dried the port with a paper napkin and it works again!
Thank you for that. I tried your method and possibly it may have been an update issue. But my issue was strange with my S5 android phone as all my You tube videos the sound would suddenly stop playing after exactly one minute of play. I could not understand what was happening. What i did in the end was turn on the wifi and disconnect the external internet and it seemed to have fixed up the problem. I suspect the updates were only downloading via wifi as there is a setting somewhere in the phone that is enable to save you on data therefore not allowing it to fully take effect. I restarted the phone and all seems ok now, but i know for a fact this is not a restart issue as i did this before a few time and it just did resolve the issue. Not really sure why it happened but its got something to do with the wifi downloading of the updates.

So, I have checked that the do not disturb button is turned off, made a test with my android phone (Xiamo redmi 8 pro) and neither have sound on my phone or laptop, only 1-3 videos I recorded have, all I can hear is a ocasionall bzzzr and thats it.

Im trying to watch videos from my photo gallery and some videos have audio some dont. For the videos with no audio I have to press "open in videoplayer" for audio. Then some of them have the codec issue and cant use videoplayer.

This keeps happening on my PS4 YT app and Android app on about every 8th to 10th video. I can only assume it has something to do with TH-cam but I cant find anything about it from Google.

Download the video thats glitching in 144p. It seems to reset the audio for some reason. Its the only thing I've found that works. I hope this helps!

When you trim a video then save it and send it over whats app there is NO sound unless you choose Save as copy. Why is that?

For me it shows the audio is at full but the aufio cant come out but when we try the ringtone it works🤔
