Tony Pankhurst only did the model of the curator; Pip Torrens is the voice and motion capture. But Supermassive already confirmed a replacement for the model and that the Curator will return for Season 2.
I have a theory about whole season 1. In Man of Medan the Curator is introducing player to the basics of Dark pictures. He says that he can not iterfere and occasionally give us hints to help. And even if we choose not to get it from him he still tells us that "Not all may be really as it seems". Also whatever the ending is he tells us that what matters is if we are happy, then he LEAVES the repository with a player. In Little Hope when we first see him he already knows us. He is way more opened up to us making jokes about enjoying a good funreal and helping us understand what really is going on by showing us his cards and tell that we are dealing with just a child. Then at the end he also LEAVES his office. In House of Ashes comes a change. Before giving player any hint, he tells that it has to stay between them, no one else. His help is less usefull. And the biggest change is that at the end he STAYS in repository telling player to get out. And now in The Devil in Me something is knocking to his door ONLY if everyone is alive. My guess is that obviously the Curator is some bigger power but there is someone or something higher than him. In House of Ashes notice how he is protective to a player. He politely asks to leave while having face "Get out of here, you don't want to be here when it comes" as if he cares for our sake. Also the last look on the repository that we have in TDiM is this window. Am I the only one wondering what exactly is outside of this room? A lot of people think that The Curator is death or some kind of grim reaper. Personaly I think he is working FOR them, giving them victims of his stories, but he is forbiden to choose the way story will go. This is player's job. I think somewhere between Little Hope and House of Ashes he has been warned not to help player and at the and of the third game he is being questioned. And now death is mad at him because he's not bringing any victims. The Curator broke his word and interfered by letting Du Met survive so that he could invite more people to his island and kill them meaning that The Curator will have victims for his bosses. I'm curious if the last game is going to be about helping Curator escape from this madness.
Hey, the bit where he goes "Get out of here, you don't want to be here with it comes," where is that? I'm rather curious to see it but I can't seem to find it
I feel like Du’Met is or has “the devil inside” and The Curator (being sort of a stand in for death) wants to put the devil to rest, but with every iteration of Du’Met, the devil is able to avoid him, maybe growing stronger with every kill until he’s strong enough to go after death himself.
I notice that when i played this the curator said everyone died last time I think its talking about HOA because this is my first time playing. Devil in me but I have played HOA
He always is if you don't choose the best things. Like I found the gun in LH then Angela threw it into the lake, so he roasted me for having a weapon and loosing it. Then my friend found another weapon then he roasted me for loosing the gun again
1. Curator hint about Herman Midget who was inspired by Sherlock Holmes forshadowing Du'Met real identity and past of he become a serial killer in the first place and change his name to become like H.H. Holmes. 2. The First Hint refers to how the player must remember the tools in the invetory and give it to the right protagonist. It also serve as a wring that Du'Met knew more about this place better than you. 3. The Second hint refers to Connie, Morello's family dog who can help us escape. 4. The alternative hint serve as a warning for Erin's premature theories that Charlie might lure them here.
Fun fact the voice actor also does White Mask Varre and Radahns pain grunts in Elden Ring. So this is the closest we'll ever get to hearing Radahns voice
Maybe in Season 2, they can make it seem that the last curator was 'Dismissed' since he broke the rules by tearing out that last page of the book with all the names, hence why the new one looks so different
Can be anything that is supernatural. The devil who possessed HHH/Du'met tryin to talk to him after his vessel are destroyed or his boss pissing off since he can't deal/contain the above devil.
I love playing these games just to see him😂
Same and it seems like the curator has a little crush on me that's why he always stares in the theme songs

I think the Curator owes lives in exchange for his lives, as he doesn't seem happy when everyone survives in TDIM
Or he was Du met.

I don't think the curator was passive or aggressive cause when I play dark pictures the curator is nice to me
