I think he dated her back then because like he said she was more popular having given a successful debut and also beautiful, he started to respect her and admire her later when she started evolving as an actress and as a person. I've seen so many interviews of her and I think you can clearly see when she's uncomfortable, or at least I see it. I don't see any love between them, only friendship. The fact that they can actually talk so openly about it only makes it more obvious that they're both over it. Nowadays, almost a decade after their break up I'm pretty sure they are ALL tired of hearing about it. And by all I mean these two, Ranveer and whoever Ranbir is dating.
