In this video, I refurbished a 1986 Casio TS-1000 Cal. 215 Thermometer Digital Watch. I found this watch on eBay. It was part of a lot that was being sold for parts. I paid $14.99 for the whole lot. This was the only good watch in the lot. The band was in a very bad shape, so I had to change it and the watch required some cleaning and a fresh battery. I think it turned out great.

Got one of these sitting on my table now. I’ve had it since grade school. Everything works but the thermometer.

Try cleaning the sensor, change the battery and perform AC reset. That can fix the problem. Thanks for watching.

Neat watch! I found one at an estate sale for 5 bucks. It works but the display is messed up.

Thank you. Did you try AC Reset? Sometimes that fixes it. Are there any signs of corrosion inside the movement? Proper cleaning should fix it too. I got lucky with the one I found. I think the display is a little faded, but still legible. If it is just faded, you can use a polarized filter. Let me know how it goes. Thanks for watching.
