Had the pleasure of meeting Mr Norman during a tour of the documentary about his life. I don't think I have ever met a nicer person in my 50 plus years on this planet. And wow what an inspiration. I had to tell him the work he produced brought so much joy into so many peoples lives generation after generation. So humble as well as talented.
Been working for 35 years in animation here in France.. and this documentary gave me goosebumps. hand drawn animation is still something close to magic to me.
I worked recently with a studio here in Portland. They commissioned traditional animators to draw dialogue. These drawings were turned into 3D models by other artists which were 3D printed as masks and used to create stop motion animation. Nice to meet you I have been working in animation business for a long time too.
@@wonderrob3225I just saw the new Spiderman animated trailer and it was kind of... Gross... It's all cel-shaded 3D models IN THE STYLE OF old hand drawn comic book drawings. There's something kind of perverse about that. We're in an age of blatant disrespect for humanity.
Great episode..my poor buddy Fox Carney.....when I worked at Disney, Fox and I would talk endlessly about Star Wars...he injured his foot before the taping of this episode....I also worked with Antonio..we'd ink cells for sales in the mid 90s....
That's my brother-in-law Floyd Norman. An inspiring individual.
So nice seeing Floyd on this episode. He’s an inspiration, friend, and wonderful guy!

Ub Iwerks created Mickey Mouse.
Created or co created?
Ub is to mickey as Bill Finger is to batman
@@ElGatoBlanco1970 Oh ok I see
Animation was always my dream, but unfortunately you know how big companies are with people.
this is only about disney animation..
What purpose is Disney ink & paint these days ?
Was that Nina hyena
All those missing Milt Kahl scenes. Stolen by Disney nerds
Fleischer Studios was the better animation company.
I’m not gonna very surprised to learn that Disney hired a black man in the 1950s especially with his questionable history.
