    Hello Ansys Learning Great video Thanks, I am not sure but I think there is minor a mistake at 3.37 where {D} is the vector describing the direction instead the unit displacement spectrum isnt it? Thats what it's says on the docs. Anyway thanks for the video

    or can you please tell me how to consider the hydrodynamic added mass on the structure while performing modal analysis in Ansys.

    Good Video. But my basic doubt is, if there are no external load on the structure, why structure should generate modes and frequencies? It is like, If I fix a sheet with 2 bolts, that sheet will not vibrate until and unless If we excite. Please clarify. This might be basic question.

    Thankyou for this explanation. What is the method to troubleshoot the analysis from solution output or make sure the total deformations are correct? What changes can be made if the deformations are higher than expected.

    In a modal analysis using a structural-acoustic coupling ("eg. a beam that vibrates in an acoustic medium"), how can the operator know if the mode is coupled or no using the participation factor? Any thoughts? Thank you.

    Please also teach how to do modal Analysis of machine submerged in water. For example, pump impeller or turbine runner of francis turbine are working with water, so how do i do modal analysis in water for this mentioned case?

    deformation plotting against modes shapes are getting 245 mm like does it even matter ? second should i opt large deformation ON ?

    Modal analysis is valid for linear analysis but due to damage in structure if non-linearity of structure happens then how the modal analysis is still valid on this damaged structure ??
