Hello The Inalect Exp [ @inalectexperiences ] ! Nightwish fan here, your musical quest summoned me. Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you for checking this legendary band! This live recording is from Wacken Open Air 2013, together with Floor Jansen [pronounced Yansen], the 3rd and present female singer of the band, in front of an 82K audience. About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners. Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): " Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen [pronounced Tuo-mas], the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. [Sami Vanska was the bassist of the band starting with their 2nd studio album, he was with them until 2001. Then Marco Hietala was bassist and vocals, since 2001 to 2020. He recently announced his retirement both from the band and the public life for the next year at least. Then in May 2021 Jukka Koskinen [pronounced Yukka] became the bassist of the band, for the Human :II: Nature tour - and recently, the band announced he became a permanent member] And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen [he also recorded the bass lines for their 1st studio album]. Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen [pronounced Yukka] is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen [pronounced Tarr-ya] (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her. There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit, Decades live (Floor). I hope this helps. I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol " For an extended set of suggestion (with links), I posted 2 huge comments in the community tab in my main YT channel - since the comments with links are not visible here, you have to search for yourself. 🤘
Thanks so much for the warm welcome and all the great info! I’m really excited to dive into more of Nightwish’s music, and Floor’s voice is incredible! I’ll definitely check out those live shows you mentioned. Appreciate you sharing everything, and I’ll take a look at your community tab too. Looking forward to the journey! Also got to lower the filtering level! Thank you again!
Great reaction. When I see your second NW reaction video uploaded, I subscribe in that instance😅..Im blackmailing here littlebit..Keep it coming. Salute Gen. Gabriel. Everything Ok in Finland chapter🤟
Studio version of this song will be different, as it was recorded years earlier with the first singer, Tarja. The backing orchestra and choirs will be more clear, and the live ending will be missing, as that was developed by Floor while on tour. All these songs in this concert were written for the prior 2 singers. Floor just knocks them all out of the park, after 10 months touring with the band as a "fill in" singer.
Hello Nightwish Army reporting from the Netherlands. Welcome to the wonderful world of Nightwish. They are from Finland. And they make Symphonic Metal. What you've heard here is just the tip of what this band can do. Nightwish really hits you in your heart. And that's what makes this band so unique. Her name is Floor Jansen and she is Dutch. There were 82,000 people there. I happily refer you to Gabriel Bardac's comment (he'll be here soon) for a list with lots of song suggestion. Watch out for the Nightwish Army. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Hey there!! Nightwish Army from the Netherlands! Thanks for the warm welcome! 😊 Floor Jansen is an absolute powerhouse, and wow, 82,000 people? Insane! I’m excited to explore more of their music-sounds like I’m just scratching the surface. I’ll keep an eye out for Gabriel’s list. Cheers from Florida!
Nightwish Army Wisconsin chapter here. Great reaction! Welcome to the GREATEST band on the Planet, led by the GREATEST vocalist on the Planet, our Valkerie Queen Floor Jansen. Enjoy your ride! ❤
Why were they all smiling? Nine months before Nightwish was in deep trouble. The lead singer had left the band (fired) while they were touring the Americans. Floor was without a band, so they asked her to fill in. (search: Nightwish learn the set list in 48 hours) This was an immediate success. Floor could sing the songs that were composed for the two former singers and most fans thought she even did it better. You can see a video recorded with an iphone only one month after she arrived. (search: Nightwish Ghost Love Score Oct 14th 2012 Orlando) There is also a fantastic recording only one month later (search: Nightwish Ghost Love Score Buenos Aires 2012) This recording of Ghost Love Score was in Wacken about nine months after Floor started to sing with this band, but officially she was still not a member of the band. She added that last part with the "High Note". If you here the old version fading out, it's like a beautiful bridge leading to nowhere, while this version is like everything is leading to the climax in that "High Note".
@@HvdHaghen I really like Floor singing the jazzy sultry Slow Love Slow at Ft Lauderdale. Oct 2012. I like the fan cams there better from there than the same song in Orlando, as the audience is less noisy. btw. I think Floor joined the tour at the beginning of Oct, so I think she was only 2 weeks on the tour at that point.
Floor wasn't without a band; she took a break for 18 months because of her first burnout. During the tour, she prepared ReVamp's second album and continued to tour with ReVamp directly after Nightwish. On this tour, she met her future husband, Hannes van Dahl, the drummer of Sabaton. After that, she continued with Nightwish. When it was time for a new ReVamp album, she broke up the band and became pregnant with her first child instead. I always write that Anette was fired. In fact, the official version is by mutual consent. But the timing was extremely bad and the band still wasn't willing to compromise.
@@ecbftl Wacken is on the first weekend in August, so Floor isn't there yet ;-). She met the band the year before and is not an official member here. Internally, membership was already agreed and will be official at the end of the year. She had already been on tour with the band for a year before joining. This is from the official Swiss TV live stream: Nightwish - Slow Love Slow live Montreux Jazz Festival 2012 HQ
@@Mischnikvideos Actually, the video I mentioned was from 13 October 2012. Later in the tour after Anette sang it at Montreux earlier in 2012. Wacken was in the summer of 2013, 10 months after Floor took over on the North American leg of the Imaginarium tour, after her sister's wedding following her Revamp burnout when Nightwish called for help.
She was a member of the band - Both Floor and Troy accepted full membership days, or a couple of weeks, before the Wacken performance. That’s why all the huge smiles!
Hello, singer Floor is Dutch 🇳🇱and amazing great professional singer. Greetings from Finland. The band is Finish and establish 1996 Kitee Finland.😊 The original singer was Tarja Turunen,(Fin)second Anette Ohlsson(Swe) and now Floor Jansen(Dutch)
When you want to go further on the path of our 1.83m (6ft.+) tall Dutch Valkyrie Queen Floor Jansen besides Nightwish, here is some background information on the best and most versitale female singer of our time. Floor joined the band 'After Forever' in 1997 at the age of 16. Here are some of my favourites: ‘Energize me’; Monolith of Doubt’ and Dreamflight’. Floor attended the then new Rock Academy in 1999 and graduated in 2003. She also studied 2 years at the Conservatory (1 year Music Theatre and 1 year Opera). 'After Forever' disbanded in 2009 and Floor started her own band 'Revamp' from scratch. Here she experimented with different vocal styles within one song from full operatic to death growls in seconds. Here are some examples: ‘Misery’s no Crime’, ‘Wild card’ and ‘Disdain’. Besides managing a band on her own she also did a lot of vocal coaching and as she is a perfectionist, she wants to do everything at 100%+. Eventually she had to pay the price and got a burnout. She had just recovered when end of september 2012 the call came from Nightwish to fill in for the remainder of the North American Tour at first as their second singer Annette got ill. Floor had just 48 hours to learn the whole setlist. There is a documentary made of this world tour: ‘Please learn the setlist in 48 hours’ Floor joined Nightwish after this iconic Wacken concert in 2013 as permanent member of the band. Floor continued to perform with 'Revamp’ also, but it was clear that she could not combine the two for much longer, so 'Revamp' disbanded in 2016. Floor did a side project called 'Northward' where she dived into the Hard Rock scene. The song 'While Love Died is a must see. Her stunning performances on the Dutch TV show 'Beste Zangers 2019' gave her at last some more recognition in her home country where she was relatively unknown until then. There are numerous guest appearances with other bands to find on TH-cam. To see how to get a crowd of metalheads silenced and in awe watch her featuring with the band 'Epica' and the song 'Stabat Mater Dolorosa’ and to see her in full opera mode, watch her rendition of 'O Mio Babbino Caro' from Puccini. As live concerts were cancelled and home isolation due to the Covid situation, Floor discovered TH-cam in these years. Mindblowing covers, chats with her idols and other singers, vocal masterclasses, personal insights and so much more. She even made a video reacting to herself singing Ghost Love Score at Wacken. Lots of technical info and some memories of her starting with Nightwish. Also her Fan Friday videos are hilarious. Just unpack some of these and other presents she left on her channel. Also videos of her solotour she did with songs of her impressive career. Her latest endeavour is her stunning solo album ‘My Paragon. Floor is a high sensitive person, so peace and quiet is as important for her. Living by the woods in Sweden with her husband Hannes Van Dahl (drummer of the band Sabaton), daughters Freja (turns 8 years next march) and Lucy (1 year this october),a couple of horses, dogs and cats, she found this.
Thanks so much for sharing all this amazing info about Floor Jansen! I’ve only heard one song so far, but it’s clear she’s an incredible artist with so much versatility. Her journey sounds fascinating-I had no idea she stepped in for Nightwish on such short notice! I’ll definitely look into more of her work and check out the recommendations. Thanks again for sharing!
Congratulations on experiencing for first multiple "Floorgams". Welcome to the world of Nightwish and the queen of symphonic meta, Floor Jansen. Hope to see you again very soon. Gabriel (below) will give you all the info and guidance on further reactions. Nightwish studio recordings are great, but I think they are best experienced live. Appreciate how amazing they sound live. Maybe the best live sounding band on the planet. IMHO
Great reaction, thank you. Floor has one of the most beautiful, powerful and versatile voices of all female metal singers. She can sing all from opera to death metal growls (including metal, rock, pop, folk, jazz etc.). In a Dutch TV show she even sang a telephone book (the moderator challenged her with it) and it sounded really good. Concerning Nightwish: They are often called Symphonic Metal but they are a genre of their own. You will not find a bad song by them; since they have been founded in 1996 they evolved very much and tried different styles. My favourite albums are the last three but also on the former albums there are a lot of great songs. But if possible choose the live performances - Nightwish are best live.
Originally Floor was sent by Allfather Odhinn to Midgard to gather the souls of fallen warriors to Valhalla, but she got distracted and joined a series of bands. However, Floor still gathers souls by her grace, beauty and the sheer power of her vocals. We give thanks for her at our Blots regularly and hope that Odhinn won't notice that she has never returned to Asgard. ALL HAIL THE VALKYRIE GODDESS!!! The Nightwish Army is incoming! You're not ready! Nightwish Army Central Florida Black Company reporting for duty!
Always find it funny when right away a reactor notices people "already" crowdsurfing. This song is number 13 in a 15 song set., and they headlined this festival night, after I understand Alice Cooper played.
@@inalectexperiences We all started this journey a longer time ago (I was in Wacken in 2013 at the age of 10) and have always remained loyal to our band - they have never disappointed us. Nightwish is an extraordinary band and the Nightwish Army consists of extraordinary fans. You are in very good hands on this wonderful and exciting journey. Best regards; Kelsea NWA Germany
The studio version is not a patch on this, every song on my nightwish playlist is live. Welcome to Nightwish thanks for your reaction 🇬🇧 Gabriel's list is a great guide to their music.
I am pleased to welcome you to the wonderful world of Nightwish from the UK Oldies Division of Nightwish Army (East Anglian branch). As you delve deeper into their music (as I hope you will) you will find many diverse songs. Symphonic metal is the official genre, but you will find songs ranging from metal to ballads and even a jazz track. I have subscribed to your channel in the hope that you'll keep on watching and listening to Nightwish, especially their live recordings. I saw them live at Wembley in November 2022 and it was the most amazing unforgettable experience. To hear more from them and to get some more info on the band, I suggest you look at Gabriel's post and follow his list or pick and mix from it. I have followed Nightwish for some time now and the compositions and musicianship never fail to please. Looking forward to your next reaction.
Wow, thank you so much! Love hearing from the Oldies Division of the Nightwish Army-East Anglian branch, no less! 😄 I’m already hooked on their music, and now you’ve got me excited to explore even more, especially that jazz track. Seeing them live at Wembley must’ve been absolutely unforgettable! Thanks for subscribing-it really means a lot. I’ll definitely check out Gabriel’s list and keep diving in. Can’t wait to share more reactions with you!
@inalectexperiences I have a link to the track i was referring to. This is with their second vocalist Anette th-cam.com/video/6k1jeJBocb8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=knEa6I3Jf5aaJXRW
Nightwish army, Colorado division here. If you go down the Nightwish rabbit hole, and I encourage you to do it, You will have an absolutely awesome trip. Every song is epic, and different than any of the others. It is a trip worth taking. General Gabriel has shown the way.
Welcome to Nightwish. Definitely Romanticide next followed by Storytime, Song of Myself and Ever Dream and the rest of the songs from Wacken. After which there are other concerts like Wembley Arena 2015, Tampere 2015, Buenos Aires 2018, etc etc etc. Nightwish headlined at Wacken with a 15 song setlist and every one a banger. Nightwish is a deep rabbit hole to dive into with many side tunnels to other bands like Epica, Sabaton and Ayreon not to mention the bands side projects and Floors simultaneous solo work. Enjoy. Incidentally the backing track is by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Metro and Children's Choirs.
Nightwish Army Germany reports for Duty: What you should do: Listen to General Gabriel. He knows. Great Reaction !! I think our Queen captured another soul….:-) It never gets old to see people freeze when our Queen starts to sing…. About Ghost Love Score: Standing solid as a World Pillar around which the planet revolves, Floor hits "The Note," the crowd loses their shit, the band tears a hole in the fabric of Space-Time, and 82,000 people will never, ever be the same again. Floor Jansen, First of Her Name, Queen of the Valkyries and Stonehenge, Lady of Nightwish and Protector of our Metal Realm. Long may she reign. Bow, mortal !
Nightwish Army Switzerland here. Thank you for this great reaction to my favorite band. Nightwish is really something outstanding and offers many unique songs to discover. We would be happy to see more NW reactions from you
Singers sing what they can ,Floor Jansen sings what she wants ❤once she sang the phonebook in a Dutch radioshow ❤and It sound like a real song ❤her voice just touch your soul and grab your heart ❤she is one of a kind ❤our Valkyrie queen ❤
A really good reaction. I like your screen setup. I notice that you kept mentioning goose bumps. Well, you better get used to it if you are going to continue with Nightwish because there are plenty of more to come! All I would advise is to always keep to the live performances and for me, the performances with Floor Jansen (2012 onwards) are best. Anything from the 2013 Waken concert is amazing but “Storytime” or their show opener “Dark Chest Of Wonders” would be a great start. Greetings from the UK.
That right there at 15:16 is Floor's tribute to Freddie Mercury. She does this fairly often in concerts, and she is a great fan of Freddie. When asked who would be the one person she would want to do a duet with, she answered, Freddie Mercury. Freddie also did the long raised right arm too. Great reaction :) Would be good to see you a little bigger on the screen. Greetings from New Zealand :)
Its not crazy ! .. this is what You get .. with a fenomenal Finish band .. and an amazing Dutch vocalist ( world best ) togheter ! ... greets from the Netherlands :-)
Well, you are probably going to be disappointed by the studio version. Don't get me wrong, it is good, but it is lacking the energy. One reactor once gave it the highest score he had ever given to that point, analyzing the composition and the quality of the performance and then got roasted in the comments like "this is the wrong version" (I'm leaving out the mean parts). Ghost Love Score got big when it was performed live through the years, even more when Floor (the singer you've just seen) took over. She added some parts only she can perform. This was her 10th month here with the band.
@@inalectexperiences Maybe you are interested in what Floor herself has to say about this specific performance. Just search for "Floor Jansen REACTS to Nightwish - Ghost Love Score (Wacken 2013)"
10th month with the band and just several days after she had been offered, and accepted, permanent membership in the band (along with Troy). I really believe some of the big smiles on the bands faces were the realization that they had made a great decision to bring her in! This was the crowning performance!
Studio version... yeah well, that belonged to either the first singer way back (this song) or the second singer for album songs. This concert was made up of old songs from the first singer or the second singer. Disputes led to the first singer (Tarja Turunen) being fired in 2005. Singer Anette Olzon was hired and in 2012 was fired. Keep in mind that tickets for Wacken are sold out a year in advance to crowds roughly 82000+ people. This means that this show sold out to people buying tickets to seeing Anette (even though she was coming under some dispute within the group). In October 2012, she was fired and Floor was asked to finish the tour into 2013. Later in 2013 she and Troy were asked to join permanently (to everyone's delight and satisfaction).

Crowd surfing already.......lol, it's the 13th song of a 15 song set.....lol....welcome to NightWish,,,,,, a band made up on musicians that are masters of their craft that have come together to form something very special, and you have met our Valkyrie Goddess........Floor Jansen.....she may call you to battle, bring tears to your eyes, send chills up and down your body, and on occasions summon a beast. so come down the rabbit hole that is NW, I think you will find it an amazing journey
Nightwish Army, Indonesia checking in. The guy who recommedd you to GLS has done you the biggest favour! So, welcome to the world of Nightwish. Our leader Gabriel has made contact I see, so you're in very good hands. He will guide you along the rabbit hole. From your great reaction to this classic I KNOW you'll enjoy many, many Nightwish numbers but stick to the live versions, they are the best. New subsciber.
Solo puedo decirte...BIENVENIDO AL EJERCITO DE NIGHTWISH. En cuanto a darte información de Nightwish, mis compañeros, amigos y hermanos de armas lo han dicho todo. Un calido saludo desde Bruselas.
Floor is an enchantress - she draws you in, enthralls and seduces you. Whenever I'm listening to her, either with Nightwish or without, I'm either grinning like a maniac or wiping a tear out of my eye. Music is the sound of emotions. Tuomas understands this, Floor (and Nightwish) personify this - perfectly!! All the very best from the Canberra Regiment, Australian Division, Nightwish Army. 🤘
Thanks for playing. I thought you'd like this one. I thought I'd start you out with my favorite Nightwish song sung by my favorite Nightwish singer Floor Jansen. Next song I'd go with: Story Time at the same concert Wacken 2013.
Forgot to say: Nightwish is a live band! Live versions are preferable, the magic comes across better live. There are also some music videos that are really good, after Wacken 2013 the studio version of Ghost love score might not excite you so much
Thank you so much for the kind words and the amazing recommendations! 😊 I can already tell I’ve only scratched the surface with Nightwish, and I’m excited to dive even deeper into their music. Wacken 2013 sounds like a perfect place to continue, and I can’t wait to explore songs like Ever Dream, Storytime, and Ghost River. I really appreciate the support, and thanks to Gabriel Bardac too for all the great suggestions! Peace, love, and lots of floorgasms ahead!
Another Nightwish fan here. I likely know your family as I've been involved in many Native communities over the past half century. Most Nightwish fans will tell you to stick with the live performances as this is where they excel. You can't go wrong with anything from Wacken 2013 (pronounces vocken), Wembley 2015 (My favorite), Tampere 2015, or Buenos Aires 2018. They also did a cover of High Hopes in 2005 and Phantom of the Opera in 2023 both of which are mind blowing. Subscribing for your Nightwish journey cousin.
From Wikipedia Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Kitee. The band was formed in 1996 by lead songwriter and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen, guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, and former lead singer Tarja Turunen.[1] The band soon picked up drummer Jukka Nevalainen, and then bassist Sami Vänskä after the release of their debut album, Angels Fall First (1997). In 2001, Vänskä was replaced by Marko Hietala, who also took over the male vocalist role previously filled by Holopainen or guest singers. Although Nightwish have been prominent in their home country since Angels Fall First, they did not achieve wider success until the release of the albums Oceanborn (1998), Wishmaster (2000) and Century Child (2002). Nightwish has had 3 singers - Tarja Turunen, than Anette Olzen and presently Floor Jansen. Marco Heitala recently left the band. Get ready for the Nightwish army to invade 😂
In 1996, mastermind Tuomas Holopainen was doing his compulsory Finnish military service and was sitting around a campfire with friends. He wanted to capture the atmosphere and began to compose the appropriate songs. In the autumn, he finished and asked guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, whom he knew from the joint jazz project at school, to join in. But the songs did not sound as hoped and he asked another member of the school project, Tarja Turunen, for help. Tarja refused to sing anything other than classical music and Tuomas had to rewrite the songs. The Nightwish sound was born. In 2001, Tarja announced that she was leaving the band to finish her classical studies in Germany in 2002/03. The band managed to persuade her to continue working for the band afterwards, but on her terms. In 2005, the band fired her in the dressing room immediately after the last concert of the tour. The band accuses her of having turned into a diva. After a call for applications and an audition, the Swede Anette Olzon is chosen as her successor. As it turns out, this was a double mistake. Only one of the competitors will become a successful singer without Nightwish and she will also be there at the end of Anette's career and will still be Nightwish's singer for one night: Amaranthe - Maximize (Masters of Rock 2019) Although Anette is successful at the beginning, sales figures drop afterwards. Her live recordings are rarely clicked. The change from opera singer to pop singer Anette is too big for the fans because Anette cannot sing Tarja's songs. In 2012 she becomes pregnant unexpectedly. She wants to cancel the Australian tour because of this. The band has produced a movie and does not yet know whether it will cover the production costs. So they suggest as a compromise that a guest singer should represent Anette. Anette lets herself be persuaded, but turns down the suggested singer: Floor Jansen. She will later say that she was afraid of being replaced. During the US tour, Anette has to go to hospital because of a high fever. The band doesn't want to take any risks and hires Floor behind her back, already for the South American tour. When Anette finds out about this, the band spontaneously splits up. 48 hours before the next concert, Nightwish no longer has a singer. Floor has to travel from the Netherlands to the USA immediately and unprepared and learn 1.5 set lists by heart. She says of her first concert that her voice was only 50 percent there and that she sometimes had to sing behind the front row because she didn't know the lyrics. Mastermind Tuomas says she was perfect. Back then, she saved the band from breaking up. Today, she is the longest-serving singer. In this video, she is still the guest singer and not yet a member. That's why there is no studio version of any of the songs with her. It wasn't until 2015 that they recorded their first album together. Nigthwish is the reference band in symphonic metal. Tuomas says that they didn't invent symphonic metal, but they took it to a new level. Other symphonics: VISIONS OF ATLANTIS - To Those Who Choose to Fight + Land of the Free live @ Lyon | Armada Tour 2024 EPICA - Arcana (Live at The Symphonic Synergy) Within Temptation - The Reckoning (feat. Amy Lee from Evanescence) live at the Worlds Collide Tour
Wow, thank you for the history lesson on Nightwish! 😯 I didn’t know all the details behind the band’s journey and lineup changes-especially how Floor Jansen came into the picture. It’s incredible how she saved the band back then and became such an important part of their sound. I’ll definitely check out some of those other symphonic metal bands you mentioned too! Thanks for sharing all this, and I can’t wait to dive deeper into their music!
Just wait for Gabriel's comment ;-) I was already following your Lovebites journey, can't wait for this new one... And there's one more band I would like you to explore, but I'll wait to give you the name, you alreay have enough to listen to with Lovebites, Nightwish, Band-Maid... (I'll just say that the band I'm thinking of comes from central America and has done a collab with Band-Maid ;-) )
My favorite singer and band. Floor could give goosebumps to a polar bear. Always do live performances. Their first 2 singers performed in their first 7 albums. “Storytime” next? It’s heavier than this one and you get to see the Dutch windmill. 😄🤘 th-cam.com/video/pvkYwOJZONU/w-d-xo.html
SUGGESTION: If you like Nightwish and their lead singer Floor Jansen, then watch a Dutch band called EPICA with their newest song - *_”Arcana”_* (Live at The Symphonic Synergy) The Netherlands 09/20/24 : th-cam.com/video/7xXPyAhHhXc/w-d-xo.html (btw. the lead singer of Epica is Simone Simos, who is befriended with Floor since childhood) Note from the band: The time has come to write history once more. 15 years have passed since ‘The Classical Conspiracy’ and 10 years since we recorded another milestone in our career, ‘Retrospect’ - now, over a decade later, we are once again about to enter the stage with a full orchestra and choir. Under the title, ‘The Symphonic Synergy’, we will play two massive “Epica & Orchestra” shows. One in our home country, the Netherlands (09/20/24) and another one in our second home, Mexico (12/07/24). Finally, it is happening.
Thanks for the recommendation! I haven't checked out EPICA yet, but with Floor Jansen and Simone Simons being childhood friends, I'm definitely intrigued. I'll be sure to watch Arcana-it sounds like an incredible performance with that orchestra and choir. Looking forward to diving into their music soon!
It would be helpful if you lowered the comment filtering level, I posted a message 3 hours ago with the band's history and it's still not visible to others.
Nightwish and The Warning on bacj to back Tuesdays! Two major rabbit holes. NW has 5O more songs, any of which would inspire you to hear more. (The Warning have another 25 of the same). These two bands ca keep you busy for the next three months. And all you will hear are positive comments and get a zillion new subs ...new sub here. Looking forward to more Nightwish!!! 🤘
Another unbelievable voice in this world :please react to "Dimash Kudaibergen" singing OGNI PIETRA from the Arnau Concert on his own channel. This guy has an 7 octave range and he is trained since the age of 5 years old, also an multi instrumentalist and singing in multiple languages. On top a very humble person. Hope you enjoy it and wish you all the best from Germany 🇩🇪 Petra
Thanks, Petra! 😊 I haven’t heard anything from Dimash yet, but Ogni Pietra sounds like a great place to start. A 7-octave range? That’s insane! I’ll definitely check it out. Thanks for the recommendations!!
hnx 4 this. Go on with the stuff. Welcome to the Nightwish army^^. Please listen to song of myself at Wacken. And, i am sure this will leave you speachless, the Gratest show on earth at Tampere. Due to Marco's voice , the wiking bassman, give "The Islander" also at Tampere a try. And frist of all, Ghost love score at Wacken. Floor Jansen will take over^^ Pls stay save and peace from Germany
Thanks so much! 😊 I’ve already been blown away by Ghost Love Score-what an experience! I’m definitely excited to check out The Greatest Show on Earth and The Islander next! Greetings from Florida!

Welcome to your first Floorgasm(s)! And I hope for some more content from this incredible Band! Best advise I can give, is follow General Gabriels List. See you, and thx for your content from Germany

Instead of studio version, you might want to check this song with their first singer from End of an Era concert in 2005, with subtitles (they add so much meaning to the song, since the choir has their lines). The song is glorious and probably not in top10, for me, which says all about quality of a band. They are better live than studio since they have talent and top notch sound technicians.
@@inalectexperiences The 2005 version has a different ending. Floor changed the ending in 2012 after a few rehearsals. The original has a quieter ending.
If you like the mighty and wondrous Nightwish, you would like a Canadian musical genius by the name of Devin Townsend. Another 'generational voice'. Check him out, react to him, thank me later...
Don’t know if anyone else gave you the pronunciation breakdown, so please excuse me if this is repetition. “Wacken” is pronounced “Vahken”. German Floor “Jansen” is pronounced “Yawnsen”. Dutch
Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory):
" Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer.
So be prepared. lol "

Thx again Gen. Gabriel ! 🫡
Right up to your alley? You can't imagine what awesomness is ahead. Looking forward for more.
Thank you so much!
Hello
Nightwish Army reporting from the Netherlands.
I love the Valkarie Queen nickname! Thank you so much!
Why were they all smiling? Nine months before Nightwish was in deep trouble. The lead singer had left the band (fired) while they were touring the Americans. Floor was without a band, so they asked her to fill in. (search: Nightwish learn the set list in 48 hours)
This was an immediate success. Floor could sing the songs that were composed for the two former singers and most fans thought she even did it better. You can see a video recorded with an iphone only one month after she arrived. (search: Nightwish Ghost Love Score Oct 14th 2012 Orlando) There is also a fantastic recording only one month later (search: Nightwish Ghost Love Score Buenos Aires 2012)
This recording of Ghost Love Score was in Wacken about nine months after Floor started to sing with this band, but officially she was still not a member of the band.
This is from the official Swiss TV live stream:
Nightwish - Slow Love Slow live Montreux Jazz Festival 2012 HQ
@@Mischnikvideos Actually, the video I mentioned was from 13 October 2012. Later in the tour after Anette sang it at Montreux earlier in 2012. Wacken was in the summer of 2013, 10 months after Floor took over on the North American leg of the Imaginarium tour, after her sister's wedding following her Revamp burnout when Nightwish called for help.
She was a member of the band - Both Floor and Troy accepted full membership days, or a couple of weeks, before the Wacken performance. That’s why all the huge smiles!
They have so many super great live performances from this show and other venues that will leave you amazed 👏 ❤️
I'm ready!! Can't wait to listen to more!
Hello, singer Floor is Dutch 🇳🇱and amazing great professional singer. Greetings from Finland. The band is Finish and establish 1996 Kitee Finland.😊
The original singer was Tarja Turunen,(Fin)second Anette Ohlsson(Swe) and now Floor Jansen(Dutch)
Thank you so much for the information!!
There is a documentary made of this world tour: ‘Please learn the setlist in 48 hours’
Floor joined Nightwish after this iconic Wacken concert in 2013 as permanent member of the band.
Noted! thank you so much for the information!
Greetings and wellcome to Nightwish ! Phenomenal music and no "bad" songs . NW army . Sweden
Don't expect every Nightwish song to be like this. Each one is different to all the others. They're all brilliant.
Love hearing this! Can't wait to experience more!
Originally Floor was sent by Allfather Odhinn to Midgard to gather the souls of fallen warriors to Valhalla, but she
got distracted and joined a series of bands. However, Floor still gathers souls by her grace, beauty and the sheer power
of her vocals.
We give thanks for her at our Blots regularly and hope that Odhinn won't notice that she has never returned to Asgard.

Best Nightwish song ever 😊

Thank you for watching! Really appreciate it!
You are completely right! It did lack the energy and I'm really glad I got to first hear them live before the studio! Thank you so much!

10th month with the band and just several days after she had been offered, and accepted, permanent membership in the band (along with Troy). Thank you so much!!
Floor is 6'1" an what a great voice!!!❤

welcome to nightwish army!!!
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! Can't wait for more!
3:16 "Her voice is powerful"
Me: You know nothing, John Snow.
Greetings from Michigan and welcome to the rabbit hole.
Thank you! Greetings from Florida!
Solo puedo decirte...BIENVENIDO AL EJERCITO DE NIGHTWISH.
En cuanto a darte información de Nightwish, mis compañeros, amigos y hermanos de armas lo han dicho todo. Un calido saludo desde Bruselas.
Muchas gracias! 😊Me hace muy feliz ser parte del ejército de Nightwish!!
You. Are. The. Man. Thank you again!
The logical next step is Wintersun :3
"generational voice" is very appropriate
Another Nightwish fan here. I likely know your family as I've been involved in many Native communities over the past half century.
Most Nightwish fans will tell you to stick with the live performances as this is where they excel. You can't go wrong with anything from Wacken 2013 (pronounces vocken), Wembley 2015 (My favorite), Tampere 2015, or Buenos Aires 2018. They also did a cover of High Hopes in 2005 and Phantom of the Opera in 2023 both of which are mind blowing.
Subscribing for your Nightwish journey cousin.
Thanks so much for the recommendations and for helping me with the correct way to say Wacken! 😊
From Wikipedia
Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Kitee.
Only one of the competitors will become a successful singer without Nightwish and she will also be there at the end of Anette's career and will still be Nightwish's singer for one night:
Amaranthe - Maximize (Masters of Rock 2019)
Although Anette is successful at the beginning, sales figures drop afterwards.
Other symphonics:
VISIONS OF ATLANTIS - To Those Who Choose to Fight + Land of the Free live @ Lyon | Armada Tour 2024
EPICA - Arcana (Live at The Symphonic Synergy)
Within Temptation - The Reckoning (feat.
Just wait for Gabriel's comment ;-)
I was already following your Lovebites journey, can't wait for this new one...
And there's one more band I would like you to explore, but I'll wait to give you the name, you alreay have enough to listen to with Lovebites, Nightwish, Band-Maid... (I'll just say that the band I'm thinking of comes from central America and has done a collab with Band-Maid ;-) )
The band you're thinking of I'm guessing is comprised of three sisters that play great rock music. I won't give away who they are 😉
Correct guess 😉
Haha what a tease! Can't wait! Thank you for watching!
Haha copy that! Thank you for the recommendation! Can't wait to listen to more!
You had your first Florgasm❤
Yes and I need to listen to more! haha
Happy floorgasms, brother.
SUGGESTION:
If you like Nightwish and their lead singer Floor Jansen, then watch a Dutch band called EPICA with their newest song - *_”Arcana”_* (Live at The Symphonic Synergy) The Netherlands 09/20/24 :
th-cam.com/video/7xXPyAhHhXc/w-d-xo.html (btw. the lead singer of Epica is Simone Simos, who is befriended with Floor since childhood)
Note from the band: The time has come to write history once more.
Tighten up your seat belt - you are in for one hell of a ride.....
It would be helpful if you lowered the comment filtering level, I posted a message 3 hours ago with the band's history and it's still not visible to others.
Sorry about that Gabriel, I'm going to try to fix that right now. Thank you so much!
👍👍Storytime next💪
Nightwish and The Warning on bacj to back Tuesdays!
Two major rabbit holes.
NW has 5O more songs, any of which would inspire you to hear more.
(The Warning have another 25 of the same).
These two bands ca keep you busy for the next three months.
And all you will hear are positive comments and get a zillion new subs
...new sub here.
Looking forward to more Nightwish!!! 🤘
Woohoo! I didn't even think this would happen in all honesty! Thank you for your kind words and the sub 🤝
Floor is simply the best..
Floor Jansen will take over^^
Pls stay save and peace from Germany
Thanks so much! 😊 I’ve already been blown away by Ghost Love Score-what an experience! I’m definitely excited to check out The Greatest Show on Earth and The Islander next! Greetings from Florida!
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
"Epica".... New band Tuesday
A fun idea, react to the entire concert. This is the 13th song of a 15 song set.
You got yourself a deal!
@@inalectexperiences Start with Dark Chest of Wonders, Wacken 2013. Biggest opening number in rock history.
The best quality videos to use are from the Nightwish and Nuclear Blast channels.
Welcome to your first Floorgasm(s)! And I hope for some more content from this incredible Band! Best advise I can give, is follow General Gabriels List. See you, and thx for your content from Germany
Thank you for watching! Much love from Florida!
Ok, it's not exactly Nightwish, but it is symphonic metal. I think you'd love 'Epica - Sancta Terra ft. Floor Jansen'
👍👍🇳🇱🤘🤘🎤🎸💕👏👏
I see Gabriel has already arrived and given you the low down. His list of recommendations is a great guide to discovering Nightwish. If it helps to have another view, these are some of my favourites:
▪︎ The Greatest Show on Earth (Wembley, 2015) - th-cam.com/video/qrMwxe2ya5E/w-d-xo.html
▪︎ Last Ride of the Day (Vizovice, 2015) - th-cam.com/video/kAFxLXqP8UM/w-d-xo.html

▪︎ Tribal (montage from various shows, 2023) - th-cam.com/video/FnMqKZ-Ojt8/w-d-xo.html
Enjoy!
Thank you so much for the recommendations!
Floor stands 183cm in her bare feet .. here she's wearing heels .. my opinion is she has her boar spear and shield backstage while singing ...
Cooler when you know it’s like song 11 of a 14 song set
I was already blown away from the song itself, but reading these comments are just fueling me to listen to more Nightwish!
You got Floored!
AGREED!
That look on someone’s face when they realize “she does opera too??” 9:43
😭😭🥹❤️
Floor Jansen is the Best Voice of a Woman Alive.
Completely left me speechless!
Going to check that out as well! Thank you so much!
Hell yes! I love the recommendation! Thank you and can't wait to react to more new artists!
@ fantastic, I’ll watch out for it. And thank you for being open minded to new sounds.
Can you react to Greatest Show On Earth? If you haven't binged all their videos yet. 😂
Haha I haven't binged yet, I'm holding off to react for you guys! Which is pretty hard lol
@@inalectexperiences I need their music in my life all the time. 😂
Don’t know if anyone else gave you the pronunciation breakdown, so please excuse me if this is repetition.
“Wacken” is pronounced “Vahken”. German
Floor “Jansen” is pronounced “Yawnsen”. Dutch
Thank you so much for that! I did hear about the Wacken pronunciation, but you just helped me make sure to pronounce her name. Thank you again 🤝
New artist???? You must be joking. Nightwish has been around longer that The Beatles and Elvis combined.
